Driver, 29, dies in crash as man, 22, rushed to hospital with serious injuries at coastal beauty spot

A MAN has died and another is seriously injured following a horror two-vehicle smash at a coastal beauty spot.
Emergency services raced to the scene in the early hours of this morning but the 29-year-old could not be saved.

The collision was on the A5025 near Pentraeth, on Anglesey, shortly before 7am today.
The cars involved were a grey Peugeot 208 and a gold Audi A5 Quattro.
The driver of the Audi, a 22-year-old man, is in hospital after suffering serious injuries.
Cops are urging anybody with information to come forward to assist with their investigation.
A North Wales Police spokesman said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision near Pentraeth this morning (Sunday, 25 January).
“Shortly after 6.45am, we received a reports of a two-vehicle collision on the A5025 (Pentraeth Road) between Pen-Y-Garnedd and Pentraeth Automotive.
“The incident involved a grey Peugeot 208 and a gold Audi A5 Quattro.
“Sadly, the 29-year-old male driver of the Peugeot was pronounced dead at the scene.
“His next of kin have been informed.
“The 22-year-old male driver of the second vehicle suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.”
Detective Sergeant Katie Davies, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, expressed sympathies with the man’s family.
She added: “I share my deepest condolences with the man’s family at this incredibly difficult time.
“I am appealing to anyone who was driving along the A5025 at around 6.30am on Sunday, and who may have witnessed the incident – or who may have relevant dash-cam footage – to come forward as soon as possible.
“Any information, no matter how small, could be vital to the investigation.”
