Fire started deliberately in Hull Road park, Tang Hall

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service say they were called at just before 5.57pm last night (January 25) to  Flaxman Avenue in Tang Hall. 

A service spokesman said: “Crews from York responded to a report of youths setting a fire in a park.

“After a through search of the area no fire was found. It is believed it was put out by a member of the public prior to fire service arrival.  Police were informed.”

It follows another fire started deliberately in Tang Hall the previous night – the latest in a string of incidents.
