Jobs at Teesside Airport including firefighter – how to apply
The airport, which had its highest passengers numbers for 16 years, is recruiting for a firefighter and a passenger services coordinator.

What will the roles require from you?
The airport is looking for a firefighter to join its on-site team. It is seeking a “committed” and “professional” applicant, with the role critical in ensuring the safety of passengers, staff and infrastructure.
As a firefighter at Teesside Airport, you role will include:
- Provide instantaneous response to reported incidents at Teesside International Airport and surrounding areas.
- Deploy at the scene of incidents and take action commensurate with training and in accordance with procedures to preserve life and minimise damage to property.
- Attend and deploy at fuel spillages taking action as instructed and in accordance with procedure to minimise risk to people and property.
- Comply with statutory, legal and EASA regulations including Fire Service training plans and other relevant training requirements (written and verbal).
The successful applicant will also be expected to comply and co-operate with Teesside Airport’s safety management system, take responsibility for their actions and co-operate with airport management to minimise and prevent the potential pollution of the environment.
The primary role of a passenger services coordinator is to act as the central co-ordination function for passenger services and to ensure exemplary customer service to all visitors, passengers, staff, operators, and tenants.
The successful applicant will work closely with other areas of the business as well as third parties.
The role would also include inspecting passenger documentation and issuing boarding passes among other duties.
The passenger services coordinator is a fixed term, 20-hour a week role.

The role of a firefighter comes with a salary of £31,929.58, whereas the passenger services coordinator comes with a salary of £25,396.80.
