‘Outlander’ Season 8’s Most Controversial Twist Ties Back to the Beginning
Editor’s note: The following contains spoilers for Outlander Season 8 Episode 1.We’ve theorized about this day, dreaded it, and yearned for it like long-lost lovers on the cusp of reuniting. The premiere of Starz’s Outlander Season 8 has finally arrived, which means this is the last time viewers can celebrate the “Droughtlander” period coming to an end. As Diana Gabaldon refines her concluding novel, time-traveling soulmates Claire (Caitríona Balfe) and Jamie Fraser’s (Sam Heughan) onscreen counterparts embark upon their last journey. After swooning, cheering, and weeping our way through the last 12 years, it’s bittersweet to realize that the Scottish warrior and his sassenach will disappear into the sunset within two months.
Given the show’s intricate scale, Season 8 has quite a few plot threads to address before the final credits roll. One giant mystery isn’t resolved as of the premiere, but based on coincidences and unsubstantiated evidence, Claire and Jamie believe that Fanny (Florrie Wilkinson), the late Jane Pocock’s (Silvia Presente) younger sister, is their granddaughter by way of Faith, the stillborn child Claire lost in Season 2. Although bringing past stories full circle in surprising ways can be a warranted move, implying Faith’s survival drastically pivots away from Gabaldon’s work in what’s otherwise been a stringently faithful adaptation — and the choice has generated intense backlash from the series’ readers.
‘Outlander’ Season 8’s Faith Twist Trivializes Claire’s Trauma and One of the Series’ Main Themes
The Season 7 finale’s cliffhanger left everyone — viewers and main characters alike — hanging on flabbergasted tenterhooks. Make no mistake, Outlander‘s most extreme twists can stretch the limits of even its flexible fantasy credibility. By and large, however, the series’ prestige shine and star-crossed chemistry sell all the surprise rabbits they pulled from their magician’s hat. Healing magic is already woven into this universe, courtesy of Master Raymond (Dominique Pinon), whose intervention saves Claire’s life after Faith’s premature birth. Likewise, a Season 4 vision foreshadows Claire achieving her full witchy potential once her hair turns white.
If Claire and Jamie’s conviction theory proves true, then Faith’s secret resurrection — presumably by Raymond — emerges from nowhere. Even if later episodes explain the details, it makes for a dizzying and rather unnecessary leap. In Gabaldon’s books, Claire considers the possibility that Faith survived before dismissing it. It’s closer to wishful thinking than legitimate suspicion. Naturally, this isn’t the first time Outlander has deviated from its beloved source material. Yet the majority of the changes have either been minor or the kind of flourishes typically lost during the adaptation process. Faith marks showrunner Matthew B. Roberts‘ largest alteration to date (aside from the creative liberties taken by the spin-off prequel, Outlander: Blood of My Blood).
“The last day was emotional, but so were the weeks, even months, beforehand,” says Heughan, about wrapping the series after eight seasons.
While polite fan critiques aren’t unheard of, either, the controversial reactions to Outlander‘s Season 8 premiere hint at a future infamy that extends beyond seeking adaptation fidelity. Several frustrated fans have pointed out how Faith’s survival risks undercutting the series’ found family themes. Even with all the politics surrounding clan bloodlines, the Frasers’ idea of family surpasses DNA ties. Claire and Jamie would adore an adopted child, no questions asked. More than anything, however, a revived Faith trivializes Claire’s near-death miscarriage. Outlander‘s second season remains one of the few mainstream series to depict this unfathomably tragic and life-threatening reality with sensitivity, centering on the woman’s perspective rather than reducing a stillbirth to soulless plot-twist dramatics. With Faith, Outlander recognizes Claire’s immense physical trauma, her visceral grief, and how she navigates the loss.
‘Outlander’ Changing the Faith Storyline During Its 10-Episode Final Season Feels Misguided
One can’t help but wonder why this arc commands focus during a crucial time, given all Roberts and his team have on their plate. The showrunner cut certain long-term characters from Season 8 in order to streamline everything into just 10 episodes: the rest of the penultimate book, secret elements from Gabaldon’s unpublished finale, Claire’s witchcraft evolution, estranged friendships, and the fate of the immediate Fraser family tree. And, of course, the most top-of-mind question — whether this unique family can circumvent history’s confines once again, or if Jamie — the king of the romantic heroes — is doomed to die during the Revolutionary War. The actors themselves don’t know how Outlander concludes, having filmed different outcomes. Although it’s too early to judge how much the Faith subplot affects Season 8’s arc, it still rings like a misstep.

Jasmin & Eric Reveal Baby Girl’s Name
On Wednesday, photos from the baby shower celebration made their way onto social media, giving fans a peek at the special moment. The couple gathered friends and family for a baby shower as they prepare to welcome their first child together, and the vibes looked nothing short of joyful. Jasmin and Eric shared glimpses of the event online, posing for photos and soaking up the love from those closest to them as they celebrated their growing family.
But the sweetest reveal came shortly after the festivities. In a video posted following the shower, Jasmin gently rubbed her baby bump while sharing the name of their baby girl: Ari Skye Murphy. The mom-to-be looked emotional as she spoke directly to her daughter, saying, “Mommy loves you so much. This day is all for you.” Text across the video read, “My baby 💗 Ari Skye Murphy 💗,” making it clear Jasmin is already fully embracing her mama era.
Social Media Explodes Over Baby Murphy
Fans and celebrities alike flooded Eric and Jasmin’s Instagram comment section, letting it all out in pure excitement. Naturally, the jokes came through, with many claiming this is about to be the funniest baby of all time. Others expressed awe over the legendary family little Ari is being born into, while some simply celebrated how beautiful and heartwarming the moment is.
One Instagram user @ctisdope shared, “This is bouta be the greatest baby of all time! The union of two kingdoms🔥🔥🔥”
This Instagram user @nysha_please joked, “Ray and Claude are grandparents ❤️”
And, Instagram user @subrinanic0le said, “Baby Ari’s grandparents are all legendary! How cool?!“
Meanwhile, Instagram user @arseniohall added, “‘We are faam-a-leeee …‘ 🎵🗣️”
While Instagram user @consquilla commented, “❤️This is so beautiful! The baby is surrounded with love.“
Lastly, Instagram user @oscyi_mt_mayor wrote, “THIS is about to be either the FUNNIEST or most SERIOUS kid ever“
A Look Back At Jasmin & Eric’s Love Story
The couple first revealed they were expecting back in February with a stunning black-and-white maternity shoot shared on Instagram. In the photos, Jasmin wore an off-the-shoulder gown that highlighted her bump, while Eric lovingly rested his head on her stomach in one of the shots. They captioned the post, “Thank you Jesus for the greatest gift.” And, fans have been watching their love story unfold for a while now.
After dating for several years, Eric proposed to Jasmin in November 2024 with a romantic setup filled with candles, roses, and flower petals. Jasmin shared the moment online, gushing over the ring before happily saying yes. And in true plot-twist fashion, it was Eddie who later revealed that the couple had already tied the knot. During an appearance on ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show,’ he shared that Jasmin and Eric quietly got married in a small church ceremony with just the two of them and the preacher present. Eddie even joked that the low-key wedding probably made Martin happy — since it meant he didn’t have to pay for a big one.

‘Heated Rivalry’s Hudson Williams Just Joined an 8-Episode Mystery Thriller You’ll Obsess Over
Crave’s Heated Rivalry only just premiered at the end of last November, but already, the show is a worldwide sensation. Based on the book of the same name in Rachel Reid‘s Game Changers series, Heated Rivalry follows the longtime secret romance of two rival professional hockey players: Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie). Season 1 follows the events of Shane and Ilya’s first book, which shows them carrying on a secret fling for a decade while slowly starting to realize that it means much more than that to both of them. The entire Heated Rivalry cast has rightfully been getting a great deal of acclaim for their performances, and we are champing at the bit for the already-confirmed second season.
While fans wait for another season of Heated Rivalry, they can look forward to an upcoming series about Alexander the Great by Heated Rivalry creator Jacob Tierney, as well as a number of upcoming projects starring Heated Rivalry‘s actors. As reported by TV Insider, Hudson Williams has been cast to star in the upcoming Crave TV series, Yaga, alongside Carrie-Anne Moss, Noah Reid, and Clark Backo. The series is an adaptation of the play written by Kat Sandler, who is serving as the series’ showrunner and will also be writing for the show. Yaga is a thriller with dark comedy elements, just like the play on which it’s based, and it will expand the play to eight half-hour episodes.
What Is Hudson Williams’ New Show ‘Yaga’ About?
Yaga is a comedic and suspenseful retelling of the story of Baba Yaga, a character from Slavic folklore. Baba Yaga is an old woman who is typically portrayed as an evil witch who eats children. In Yaga, though, Baba Yaga is a charming, fully-fledged morally gray antihero who knows how to get what she wants. The series starts when a detective named Rapp (Reid) goes to a small, isolated town while investigating the disappearance of Henry Park (Williams), the young heir to a wealthy fishing dynasty. While there, Rapp meets the rest of the townspeople, including the skeptical local sheriff (Backo) and an enchanting professor (Moss). It is during his time here that Rapp starts to piece together how the mysterious local myth of Baba Yaga could somehow be connected to his latest case.
Yaga takes a classic old tale and spins it into a modern mystery, framed through the eyes of a detective who’s an outsider to a town that is all too familiar with the story of Baba Yaga. The story is grounded in one detective’s search for answers, but the myth of Baba Yaga hangs over the whole story, as it slowly becomes clear how the myth can provide answers to what happened to Henry Park. Yaga will be Crave’s first half-hour drama series, and like the play, it will put Baba Yaga front and center as a bold, unapologetic antihero.
Hudson Williams Proved His Star Power in ‘Heated Rivalry’
Hudson Williams will be playing an important role in Yaga as Henry Park, the character whose disappearance kicks off the events of the series. After Heated Rivalry, it is no doubt that Williams is up to task for the role. Williams plays Shane Hollander with a great deal of nuance and care, as Shane struggles to come to terms with both his identity as a gay man, as well as the inherent risk of having romantic feelings for his professional rival. The specific details that make up the character of Henry Park in Yaga are a mystery, but he already seems to be a very different role from Shane. Henry is a young, pampered heir who goes missing early on in Yaga, so there will be suspense in his dangerous circumstances, and comedy in the nature of a privileged character being taken out of his usual environment.
Shane Hollander is a complex character, and Williams plays him well, showing how Shane works very hard to keep his feelings in, often hiding them even from himself. Williams brought nuance to Shane’s character arc over the course of Heated Rivalry Season 1, showing how Shane was slowly able to figure out who he is, embrace his feelings for Ilya, and get to the place where he could have these difficult conversations about his feelings and his identity with his loved ones. Although Henry Park’s personality has not yet been revealed, he needs to be the sort of character that viewers will care about, because his disappearance kicks off the show. As such, Williams is the perfect casting for the role, and it will be exciting to see him in a suspenseful thriller after Heated Rivalry.

Darron Lee Allegedly Used ChatGPT For Advice On GF’s Murder
A former NFL player who is charged with his girlfriend’s murder asked an AI bot for advice, Tennessee authorities said in court. Allegedly, Darron Lee turned to ChatGPT for answers before he called 911. His conversations were presented in court this week as he stands trial in the death of Gabriella Perpetuo.
RELATED: Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, And Their 3 Kids Were At Home During Ivanna Lisette Ortiz’s Murder Attempt, Bail Set At $1.8M (UPDATES)
What Is Darron Lee Charged With?
Darron Lee faces charges of first-degree murder and of tampering with or fabricating evidence. He is being held in jail without bond. Also, Perpetuo’s family has filed a wrongful-death lawsuit against Lee.
Deputy public defender Mike Little represented Lee during the hearing. Little said “Something happened but we don’t know what happened.” The judge found probable cause to advance the case.
What Did Darron Allegedly Ask ChatGPT?
As reported by the Associated Press, Darron Lee’s conversations with ChatGPT about Gabriella Perpetuo began on Feb. 4. The following day, first responders went to a home in Ooltewah for a call of CPR in progress, but found Perpetuo already deceased. Prosecutors displayed the related messages during a court hearing on Monday.
The AI inquiries shown did not admit wrongdoing. However, in one instance, Darron Lee calls the injuries “self-inflicted.” But Hamilton County District Attorney Coty Wamp said Lee was using ChatGPT as a “legal advisor,” asking it “to basically give him advice on how you cover up a crime scene.” Also, in one of the messages prosecutors displayed, Lee says:
“Dont know what to do right now, Fiancee did her crazy thing again and now she’s messed up, I wake up and she has two swollen eyes(I didnt do anything, self inflicted) she stabbed herself, slit her eye? Idk but she isn’t waking or responding, what do I do?”
Additionally, in another message, Darron Lee asked the bot what to tell a friend about handling someone non-responsive when the friend doesn’t want to call police. ChatGPT replied in part, “Here’s exactly what to tell your friend. This is the safest way to handle it without framing it as ‘police trouble.’” Lee also asked about the “physical signs of injury of slip and fall in bathroom/shower.”
What Detectives Discovered Versus What Darron Lee Told First Responders
Meanwhile, Darron Lee told deputies that the woman may have fallen in the shower. But, according to an arrest affidavit, there were extensive amounts of blood in different areas of the residence that were inconsistent with Lee’s statement. Also, crime scene detectives identified blood that had been attempted to be cleaned in multiple areas of the house. They found cleaning supplies near those areas, but no visible blood.
In body camera footage shown in court on Monday, Lee told investigators who responded to the house that he was “sleeping a long time” before he found his girlfriend unresponsive. He told investigators he saw her lying on the couch and asked if she wanted anything to eat. When Perpetuo didn’t respond, he said he called 911.
Gabriella Perpetuo Sustained Brutal Injuries
Also, authorities carrying out a search warrant found multiple kinds of trauma to Gabriella Perpetuo’s body. The affidavit listed injuries such as: a stab wound to her abdomen, an apparent human bite mark on her shoulder, a large bruise on her head, black eyes with heavy swelling, and dried blood on her face and neck.
At a prior hearing, a Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office detective testified that Perpetuo had a severe brain injury and a broken neck. Meanwhile, District Attorney Coty Wamp has said Gabriella had more stab wounds on her legs while wearing pants without cut marks. This suggests the pants were put on afterward.
As for Darron Lee’s record, DA Wamp has said Lee was on probation in Florida for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in one county. He has probation in a battery case in another county, too. Also, he’s on probation in Ohio for attempted battery.

Jack Harlow Reveals Career Move That Made Him ‘Blacker’
Jack Harlow is giving an inside look into the process behind his new album, but not without some controversial takes.
The rapper revealed that he may have switched races in his mind to help him attain the right creative height to explore a new area for his sound and birth his latest project, “Monica.”
Jack Harlow released his fourth studio album on March 13th on his 28th birthday, four years after he broke the internet and charts with the release of his hit single “First Class.”
Jack Harlow Unveils The Mystery Of Transitioning Between Music Genres

The 28-year-old admitted that he got blacker by exploring the R&B genre, years after he broke out as a rapper. He revealed this on the New York Times podcast when he was asked if he consciously made the decision to go deeper into “blackness” with his new project.
The rapper admitted that he did get blacker with his music, and he has always enjoyed the sound of “Black music.” The podcast hosts compared Harlow to some white artists who leave rap and pivot into traditionally white sounds.
Harlow explained that he is fully aware of the politics of today and understands why a lot of his colleagues who are white found a safer spot getting out of rap and going into a different direction. As reported by TMZ, the rapper stated that going in an entirely different direction with his work even made it more satisfying, and going R&B with “Monica” was very intentional.
The Rapper’s Newly Released Studio Album

Harlow brought his vision for “Monica” to life at the Electric Lady Studios in New York City, after he moved to the city from his Kentucky home. As stated by Billboard, Harlow’s new joint featured efforts from producers such as Aksel Arvid, Jermaine Paul, Clay Harlow, Angel “BabeTruth” Lopez, and Hollywood Cole.
More creatives like Robert Glasper, Ravyn Lenae, Omar Apollo, and rising hometown R&B artist James Savage also made their contributions to the project. Harlow’s latest album comes after his third studio album “Jackman’ peaked at No. 8 on Billboard 200 in 2023 and snatched the apex spot on Billboard’s Top Rap Albums chart.
Harlow’s 2020 hit track “What’s Poppin” landed at No. 2 on Billboard Hot 100 and became his first Diamond-certified record by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in 2025. The rapper’s latest album homes nine tracks, and represents a massive shift from releasing one single last March.
Jack Harlow Addressed Exploring The Acting Side Of His Career In 2023

The musician debuted as an actor in a sports-centered project, “White Men Can’t Jump,” in 2023. The Blast noted that Harlow touched on the complex side of becoming an actor after spending years as the soul behind the microphone in a studio.
“Through this film, I was able to gain my confidence as an actor, and to me, this sh-t is not a side quest. This isn’t a side mission I’m taking on to keep the entertainer thing going and make some extra money,” the rapper declared.
He revealed that he felt a deep passion for acting, the same as he did for music, and while he feels acting is a much more difficult terrain than music, he would not deny the freedom that came from it, which is very different from making music in the studio.
Harlow confessed that he felt a slight constraint to going all the way with hip-hop due to the tradition involved and his being a guest in the field. The rapper’s first stint at acting was during an appearance on “Saturday Night Live” in 2021.
The ‘Industry Baby’ Hitmaker Voiced His Admiration For Dua Lipa

Harlow sparked dating speculations with Lipa after he named a song after her on his 2022 album, and he did not shy away from admitting that he admired the pop star. As stated by The Blast, he declared on the track that he would be very interested in doing more than just a feature with Lipa if the opportunity surfaced.
Luck finally fell on Harlow when he met up with Lipa in November 2022 at the Variety Hitmakers Brunch in Los Angeles. The following month, they were spotted separately walking in and out of the same restaurant within minutes of each other.
According to an insider, Harlow had jetted out to New York City the day before to meet Lipa after her performance at the Z100 Jingle Ball. Another source added that Lipa also felt the same way about Harlow and might be on the page as him when it came to pursuing things romantically.
Jack Harlow On His Wild Sexual Encounters

Four years ago, the rapper revealed he lost his virginity, not once but twice, and when he had sex at 18, he was reminded that he had no prior experience with sex. He first shared that he lost his virginity at 16, and his understanding of sex changed when he started seeing someone older.
He recalled the lady being about six years older than him, and it blew his mind as she taught him so much about sex, even though he was far from ignorant on the topic. The rapper saw their first act of intimacy as such a pivotal moment for him, and it was significant enough for him to see it as losing his virginity for the second time.
Harlow identified more perks in the relationship aside from the sex, which included the lady coming to support him during his indoor soccer games and driving the team home after the matches. The rapper admitted that he was beyond proud to admit to everyone that they had sex when she sat there watching him play.
Will Jack Harlow’s latest album do the magic on the charts?

William Shatner Recovering From Surgery After Brutal Accident
By Jennifer Asencio
| Published

Captain Kirk is unfortunately not invulnerable, no matter how much he seems like he is on-screen. William Shatner announced recently at the Saturn Awards that he was facing surgery on his shoulder. The surgery took place on March 11, 2026.
At 94, Shatner is still very active outdoors. The surgery was scheduled to fix his shoulder due to a serious injury he received after falling from a horse last year.
This wasn’t just a leisurely horseback stroll on a trail. Shatner said that the horse was trained for equine skills. This was an animal bred to compete, run fast, and slide to a halt. The horse that he owned drifted a little too far, and she was going so fast that he was thrown from his saddle, his shoulder breaking the fall.
Set Phasers To Recovery

A lifetime in Hollywood playing the captain of the most important and famous vessel in Starfleet prepared him for an active life on Earth. Age and gravity conspired against him in his attempt to roll to mitigate the impact of the fall. Alas, at 94 the body handles impacts less gracefully, and he seriously injured his shoulder. He described the whole situation and surgery by saying, “You put the ball in the socket and the socket in the thing, and you come out 10 hours later, and you’re pain-free.
This surgery was to correct an injury that happened in late 2025, and wouldn’t have taken place if Shatner had been too unhealthy to have it. He has since displayed his positive attitude and wry humor on social media, posting on X that “It was a routine procedure. I’m so well that tomorrow I’ll be in Cleveland at a convention.”
One Tough Captain

Audiences may have bad flashbacks of when Christopher Reeve, who played Superman in 1978, was thrown from a horse in 1995 and subsequently paralyzed. He later died in 2004 from conditions related to sepsis, but not before becoming an advocate for the severely disabled. A true fighter, he continued his acting career despite his condition, including starring in a remake of Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window, a film that is about a disabled man who witnesses a murder out his window, and an episode of Smallville.
It would have been devastating if William Shatner had experienced the same degree of injury, especially at his age. We could have lost a national treasure. Thankfully, signs point to the former Enterprise captain recovering from his surgery and giving us just a little more time to enjoy his company.

Guy Ritchie’s Hit Crime Saga Surges Again as Season 2 Looms
Guy Ritchie has developed his own unique niche in television. The British multihyphenate is known for witty, fast-paced dramas that keep viewers engaged from the moment they press play until credits roll. Ritchie usually focuses on action-heavy shows and movies, giving them his signature once he’s done. The writer-director has been courted by every streaming service, from Netflix to Prime Video and Paramount+. For the latter, he executive-produced the gritty crime thriller MobLand, which, despite lacking those Guy Ritchie qualities, still feels like one of his best works yet. MobLand enlists some of the best British acting talent to bring a truly deranged crime tale to life.
It’s been over six months since fans saw a new episode of MobLand, but that doesn’t mean that the show has escaped television’s consciousness. Data from FlixPatrol shows that the show is back on Paramount+’s streaming chart after several weeks of absence. This return coincides with the release of Ritchie’s latest project, Young Sherlock. The Prime Video drama has become a streaming sensation as fans of the iconic detective watch a younger Guy Ritichiefied version of the character. Young Sherlock is the number one TV show on Prime Video globally, which might have inspired first-time viewers to check out another one of Ritchie’s projects. The timing could not be more perfect because another season of MobLand is coming soon, and it’s bigger than the first.

What’s the Status of ‘MobLand’ Season 2?
Filming for MobLand Season 2 is ongoing. The series has expanded its scope beyond London, with some cast members spotted filming in Spain. However, London remains at the heart of the show as Harry Da Souza continues to fix everyone’s problems while hiding his own. The MobLand Season 1 finale flipped the character’s dynamics and alliances shifted, setting Season 2 on an even more explosive path. Series actor Emmett J. Scanlan explained Season 2’s scale in an interview with Hello Magazine, saying
“If you liked Season 1, penned incredibly by Jez Butterworth, then Season 2 is Season 1 on steroids! It is insane, it’s bananas. I loved Season 1, I loved reading it and getting lost in that world. I think Season 2 is even better. The scripts are fantastic.”
MobLand was created by Ronan Bennett, with Butterworth serving as director. Ritchie directed some episodes of Season 1. Pierce Brosnan (Conrad), Helen Mirren (Maeve), Mandeep Dhillon (Seraphina), Paddy Considine (Kevin), Daniel Beets (Brendan), and Anson Boon (Eddie) portray the unhinged Harrigan family that Harry works for. Other cast members include Joanne Froggatt as Jan, Harry’s wife, and Teddie Allen as Gina, Harry’s daughter.
All episodes of MobLand Season 1 are streaming on Paramount+. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.

But then, Cullum dropped the hammer and he said Britt needs to keep up that pace or Cullum is going to cut off her meds and make sure that Britt rots in Steinmauer for the rest of her very short and miserable life. This guy is charming. Am I right?
So, Cullum terrified her and of course Britt went running to Jason and told him she only has a day or two to finish the project and she really doesn’t want to finish it. It sounds like it’s going to be a weapon, you know.
Britt told Jason that it’s either finish it or it’s time to disappear. And he told Britt they need to get her medication first and she said Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) is on it. And then that was when Britt texted Lucas to meet her and Jason.
Lucas Determined to Help Britt on GH
And Lucas showed up and said Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) knows where her meds are being kept and he’s trying to get into the safe when nobody’s around. But Lucas did promise they will get Britt’s meds to her. And then Jason said the arrangements have been made and he and Britt are ready to disappear.
They’re planning to go to Canada where there’s some kind of small farmhouse off the grid. It’s quiet. It’s secure. And the thing is though, they need the meds because then Brick (Stephen A. Smith) is going to meet them up there, pick up the medication sample, and then he’s going to go and get Britt’s meds reverse engineered.
And of course, she is worried because she knows Cullum is going to use every resource at his disposal to track them down, which would be, you know, all the WSB resources. But Jason promised Britt that he’ll make sure Cullum will not find them.
Jason & Britt Ready to Take Off
So, this week, Jason and Britt are saying their goodbyes and they’re getting ready to take off, but I feel like Cullum knows they’re going to run. I feel like he has eyes and ears on Britt.
And just as an aside, I mean, Jason’s bailing on Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) yet again. Come on. Jason basically told Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) to take care of Danny and then he’s just leaving town.
We reported a leak about Jason changing his will before he leaves town. And then bam, he was there talking to Michael about that same thing. So, that was kind of interesting. And we’ll see what Jason says to Danny before leaving town.
Carly Corinthos Spencer (Laura Wright) said to tell him the truth. I know this is all to facilitate Steve Burton’s leave of absence, but they’re just making Jason into such a deadbeat dad.
Will Cullum Kidnap Jason to Force Britt’s Compliance on General Hospital?
And our leaker also told us that it was going to be Cullum who would kidnap Jason to set up for when Steve Burton takes that three-month break off of General Hospital. And of course, the actor is already gone. We’re just now counting down the episodes until the character is gone.
And I suspect that Josslyn Jacks is going to get deeper involved in all of this. So, I think that Cullum is going to snatch up Jason to force Britt to complete the project. Cullum wants to take all hope away from her. So, Britt knows she has no choice but to comply or else Cullum will kill Jason and then let Britt die a horrible, horrible death from Huntington’s.
And of course Britt would be devastated if Cullum does this. But it also makes perfect sense because Jason’s absence has to be explained since Steve Burton is off of our screens by the end of the month. And we know that Britt isn’t going to be offscreen with him.
So, it’s not like Jason and Britt are leaving and they’re both going to be gone for two or three months hiding out. It’s not going to go that way. So, of course, if Cullum kidnaps Jason and stashes him, Britt must complete the project to save him.
And I kind of doubt that Cullum’s going to stash Jason at Wyndemere down in the catacombs or anything like that because that’s where Britt is working and they probably wouldn’t want to risk her being able to set Jason free.
So I suspect Cullum’s going to lock Jason up somewhere else entirely. He could toss him in a dark cell in Steinmauer and just leave him there.
Josslyn Goes After Cullum to Protect Carly and Jason
So, at the same time, we’ve got Josslyn, and she knows what a threat that Cullum is to her mom, Carly. And if the WSB creep kidnaps Jason, I think Josslyn is going to ignore Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) orders.
He told Josslyn, “Go back to playing college student.” She doesn’t agree. She wants Carly protected. And I think that Josslyn is going to go after Cullum with all that she’s got and maybe drop the bomb on the WSB director that no, she’s not some ditzy party girl.
Josslyn is a WSB agent and she knows Cullum is corrupt and a double agent. You know, Josslyn can threaten to expose him. Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) is a reporter after all. And we’re seeing Josslyn kind of coming into her own with this WSB thing and she’s pretty badass.
Joss Has Turned into a Badass WSB Agent
I have to say I don’t hate it. You know, she pistol whipped Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), did not hesitate, took him down, tied him up, and Josslyn was very clear with Carly. She was the one who chose to join the WSB.
She wants to make a difference in this world. Josslyn wants to take down Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and people like him, bad guys, as she says. And Cullum is definitely a bad guy. So, if Josslyn can protect Carly and Jason and Britt and Lucas and everybody else in Port Charles from Cullum, well, you bet that she’s going to do it.
And we already know Josslyn has no qualms about killing bad guys. Even before she joined the WSB, she killed Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). She did it in Croatia with Vaughn (Bryce Durfee). So, I think she’ll have no problem taking out Cullum. Probably won’t lose any sleep over it.
Josslyn May Be Injured Saving Jason on GH
But Josslyn might wind up injured in the bid to save Jason. And while she’s trying to get rid of Cullum once and for all. We reported another leak recently saying Eden McCoy has rumored to have not renewed her contract at General Hospital.
We heard they are going to be recasting the role of Josslyn. And of course, that is not confirmed yet. But if she is injured, saving Jason from Cullum, that would be an easy way to swap actresses if Eden is leaving.
And honestly, even if there is no Josslyn swap, I feel certain she’ll get involved when Jason goes missing. If I were Cullum, I would wait until Jason and Britt leave town and get up into Canada because that way Cullum can snatch Jason when everybody already thinks that he’ll be gone a while.
General Hospital: Britt Back to Work to Save Jason’s Life
And then Cullum can stuff Britt down in the lab below Wyndemere because everybody thinks she’s also gone. So, Jason can be dumped in Steinmauer or wherever. Britt can be dumped in the lab and then everything happens that Cullum wants.
But I want to see a reckoning with Josslyn coming out of this as a badass hero. I want her to take Cullum down. And after all, she owes Britt for saving her life from hook killer Heather Webber (Alley Mills).
So this could actually be a situation where Josslyn could make that up to Britt. Plus, if Josslyn takes Cullum down, maybe Carly will back off and acknowledge that it’s up to Josslyn if she wants to continue her career at the WSB because she’s proved she can handle it and she can handle herself.
