[Editor’s note: The following contains spoilers for Will Trent Season 4, Episode 11.]

Summary

  • Episode 4×11 of the ABC series ‘Will Trent’ sends Will to Puerto Rico to rescue Uncle Antonio amid big stunts and jungle thrills.
  • A manipulative twist leads to a roller coaster of emotion for Will, as he navigates old feelings about his past.
  • A massive, movie-scale production with rainforest shoots, cliff stunts, spiders, and a haunting silent scream all came together to pull off the large-scale episode.

In episode 411 of the ABC series Will Trent, the GBI special agent (Ramón Rodríguez, who also stepped in as director) races to Puerto Rico to make sure his Uncle Antonio (John Ortiz) is safe. Just after arriving and because he doesn’t actually have any jurisdiction, he’s joined by a woman who introduces herself as FBI Agent Elkie (Mallory Jansen). The two end up trekking through the rainforest, on a trail following clues that lead directly to Will’s own past and more questions than answers, that will continue to reverberate throughout the rest of the season.

Collider recently got the opportunity to chat one-on-one with Rodríguez about pulling off the biggest episode of the series so far, the challenges of shooting in Atlanta and Puerto Rico, the urgency of the mission to find Antonio, the ways this will all become pivotal to what’s next, the importance of Will’s therapy, seeing James Ulster (Greg Germann) in the elf costume, how the dance between Will and Elkie came about, his favorite moment in the episode, the surprises still to come, and how there’s still plenty of stories to tell in a potential Season 5.

Episode 411 of ‘Will Trent’ Is a Juicy Roller Coaster That Will Ripple Through the Rest of the Season

“It is our largest episode. It’s huge.”

Collider: Between multiple people thinking that they’re doing Ulster’s bidding, to leaving a murdered woman in a refrigerator, to the spiders, to an FBI agent that seemed helpful turning out to be Ulster’s daughter, I feel like there are a lot of things piling on in this episode. What was your reaction to how it all unfolded when you first read it? Was there anything that most surprised you, especially with how much Adelaide was able to get away with before Will realized who she really is?

RAMÓN RODRÍGUEZ: When I read it, I actually really loved it. I was like, “Oh, this is juicy. And it’s big.” It was really a large-scale scope. It is our largest episode. It’s huge. I loved the twist, though. There are several really interesting twists and turns. The challenge then became, “How can we really try to preserve it as much as possible, so hopefully audiences don’t get too ahead, knowing that they’re really smart and can pick up cues.” And I think Mallory [Jansen], who played Adelaide, did a really great job. You have to let go and understand once you realize that that was a pretty masterful, insane plan to pull all that off. So now that you’ve let that go, you go, “Okay, we’re not going to get hung up on that,” and hopefully you just get sucked into it, and you’re just on this crazy adventure of an experience that takes Will to Puerto Rico. I love the motivating force that got him there, which is family. We know how much that resonates for Will, so the fact that family could be in danger, I bought that he would just pick up and go. Seeing Uncle Antonio in a new light as a ladies’ man was really fun and delightful.

And then, from the Atlanta side, we’re exploring Jeb and the RV and that chase, and we realize there are acolytes and tentacles that Ulster has out there. With the final result after the whole spider sequence and all the crazy cliffhanging moments, it was insane. It was a huge, massive, exhausting episode, but I absolutely loved it. We kept referencing Raiders of the Lost Ark meets Romancing the Stone. I wanted to show a new part of Puerto Rico with the jungle and the rainforest, and show the green, gorgeous, lush that is the island. We shot in Old San Juan because why not? It’s gorgeous. And there were the fun twists in it, learning who Adelaide really is, and then learning that Will knew a little bit, but he just played the game because he was desperate to find his uncle. There were just a lot of really fun elements. We got some great casting. Going back to Puerto Rico, the last time we were there was Season 2, but this time, as director, it was incredibly special. Seeing similar faces of the crew and their pride and having a Puerto Rican director bring the show to the island, there were a lot of high, wonderful, passionate, pride-filled moments.

‘Will Trent’ Season 4 Premiere Recap: A Nailbiting, Laugh-Out-Loud Opener Ends With the Biggest Cliffhanger Yet

‘Will Trent’ brings back its best villain to kick off Season 4.

It’s funny, I seem to only talk to you this season for episodes that ended with a cliffhanger that have Will’s life hanging in the balance.

RODRÍGUEZ: I’ve noticed that, yeah.

Much like with the one at the beginning of this season, I’m guessing Will is going to be okay since the show is still called Will Trent. But Adelaide is still on the loose, bodies keep turning up, and she wants to kill Will. What would you say to tease what comes after this episode? She’s clearly smart and someone who has done some planning, so what comes next?

RODRÍGUEZ: This episode really becomes the springboard and the catalyst for the rest of the season. A lot of the things we end up exploring story wise are all related to the events of this episode. Trying to find Antonio becomes mission number one, and finding Adelaide. As we were building Adelaide, and we teased it in episode 11, she’s very Ulster-like, manipulative and smart. She’s someone that can shapeshift. She can be an FBI agent, and then we see this other, very dark side of her. But we also met her mom in this episode, and I hope we get a sense that something wasn’t right there either. Something was off with this lady. Something was off in this family, obviously. It’s going to be a really fun journey. It’s going to be a real roller coaster from this episode to the very end. We’re still filming, but we’re almost at the end. A lot of the stuff that we’re talking about and dealing with are things that stemmed from episode 11. It becomes a very pivotal episode for the season.

I love Will’s therapist, and not just because I love Margaret Cho, but because she actually gives him some good advice. I really liked her suggestion of rebranding Ulster when he shows up. Were there conversations about or any different possibilities before deciding to rebrand him as an elf? What did you think of him in that costume?

RODRÍGUEZ: It was fantastic. I agree, one of the fun things in this season has been watching Will finally deal with some of these issues in therapy. Dr. Roach is just the perfect, quirky, left-of-center therapist. When they first spoke, she took him to pickleball. It’s just weird stuff. I loved that, in this episode, she does give him the thought of rebranding. She’s helping him reclaim the power because Ulster has had the upper hand with Will. From life through death, he’s been tormenting and really messing with him, so it was great to finally see Will have an upper hand in this relationship, and taking Dr. Roach’s advice to heart and actually implementing it.

The elf idea, I thought was hilarious, and then the idea got funnier. When we were scouting in Puerto Rico, I looked over, and I was like, “What if we made our own tree stump and had him come out of it like a Keebler elf hat on?” We were dying. Everyone loved it. Our production design team, that is amazing, made the perfect tree stump. Up popped Ulster on the day, and everyone just couldn’t hold it in. He was just so game and such a great sport about it. It’s a nice color in that relationship, which we don’t often get to see. And to be able to use Ulster to get some solutions was an empowering thing. It was great.

Ramón Rodríguez Says They Only Had a Couple Chances To Pull Off That Dance Between Will and Elkie

“That was supposed to be a larger scene.”

There are so many fun things in this episode that aren’t in a regular episode of Will Trent. It was nice to see Will spend some time with his uncle. It was also nice to see him have some time to hang out on the beach surrounded by music, drink, and dancing. I absolutely loved the moment when he took the hat off the other guy and put it on himself before he started dancing and even sharing the kiss, not knowing it’s Adelaide. What was all of that like to get to do? My only complaint is that I wanted more. Would you have wanted to do a whole dance number if there had been time and budget to do so?

RODRÍGUEZ: We did. That day was our final day in Puerto Rico. We were so up against it. That was supposed to be a larger scene. Literally, that is one of two takes that we had to do before they pulled the plug on us. So, it originally was a bigger thing. We didn’t have the time, sadly, but I still think it’s very effective. If that had been longer, that means something else in the episode would have likely been cut. But trust me, we were all very excited about that scene and that moment. To see Will in that fantasy and be the dancer and speak fluent Spanish, there was more to it, for sure, but we did the most quality version we could, that hopefully still felt effective.

Season 4 of the hit ABC procedural does a deeper dive into Will Trent’s mind, and it’s all the better for it.

What was the biggest challenge in pulling this episode off?

RODRÍGUEZ: It was such a large episode. We had massive stunts and wire stunts, with the cliffhanging moment. We had a ton of visual effects. We were shooting in two locations, and we were in Puerto Rico for the majority of the episode. The biggest challenge is always, and particularly for me while acting, is time. I was acting heavily in episode 410, and then I was prepping. I had half the normal prep schedule a director would have, for an episode that was the biggest episode we’ve ever done. It was a real challenge, but I really wanted to do it, so I didn’t make any complaints and I just pushed through. I spent every minute I wasn’t acting prepping and shot listing and looking at locations and looking at casting videos and finding wardrobe. I was doing all the things that a director has to do.

The nice thing is that I knew, when we wrapped the episode, we began our holiday hiatus, and I was just going to stay in Puerto Rico. I had a very clear goal. I was like, “Just get to the last day, and then you’ll get to have time off, and you’ll be in Puerto Rico.” I stayed there and it was lovely. I had family come visit me on set. Though it was hectic and there was chaos, and there were issues and problems, we were able to overcome them. I’m really proud of the work of the crew in Puerto Rico, and, of course, our Atlanta crew. Everyone was just hustling and wanting to make the best episode they could.

It feels like four seasons in, you can probably work your way out of just about anything at this point.

RODRÍGUEZ: Pretty much. And it’s nice when you have the same crew because now we’re a well-oiled machine.

You mentioned nearing the end of the season, as far as filming goes. Are you looking ahead and having conversations about Season 5 yet? Do you know where the show goes in the future?

RODRÍGUEZ: We do not know yet. Those conversations, everyone’s really focused on just finishing strong. We’re at that last 10-yard line, so that’s the main focus. But I will say there’s going to be plenty of story. Where the remainder of the season goes, there are going to be surprises. There are going to be highs and lows. There will be some questions answered. It is going to fully loaded. The way this episode rocks people and feels like, “Oh, wow!,” is going to continue as the season goes on. I think audiences are going to be floored in many, many ways.

Ramón Rodríguez Reveals That His Favorite Episode 411 Moment Made Him Emotional

“That was a nice little surprise blessing.”

What was your favorite moment in the episode? When you saw the whole thing finalized and put together, what most stood out to you?

RODRÍGUEZ: There are so many moments that I’m really proud of how they turned out. There’s stunt work that I thought came together beautifully. I thought there were some really fantastic performances. The guy that played Jeb was wonderful. The production design did such a great job with the RV and it looking disgusting. I thought the spiders in the tunnel came out great and creepy and scary. This wasn’t written on the page, it was a feeling and a thought I had on the day, but there was that moment with Lucy at the very end. I was pretty tired. I was pretty wiped out at that point. Directing and talking a lot, my voice was actually starting to give a little bit. I had this idea the morning that we were going to go shoot that scene with Lucy, and I said, “It’d be really cool and maybe even more emotional that, when she whispers in his ear than I scream, we don’t hear the scream. It’s a silent scream. The sound goes out.”

I did it to preserve my voice, but that’s also how things are sometimes. It’s very interesting, honestly. Problems arise and if you’re open to it and looking, you’ll find something that’s actually even better than the original idea. That, to me, is a perfect example. When I watched the editor’s cut of the episode, before I got to get into my director’s cut, and I saw that moment after having written her the note, the sound dropped out, and the camera came down from the sky, which in my mind was essentially Lucy’s spirit coming down to Will and then leaving him. I thought it’d be quite emotional, and when I saw it, I got emotional. I thought that was quite lovely. That was a nice little surprise blessing.

It’s also emotional because, before that, he experiences the moment of discovering the dummy in the bed that represents his mother and the recorder playing the baby’s cries in the trash can.

RODRÍGUEZ: Agreed. To see him losing his mind where he thinks it’s her, but then it’s a dummy, but everything looks like it’s staged the way his mom was found. He didn’t see that, but he’s seen her like that. It’s very dark. It’s very, very dark and tortured. Hopefully, it makes that moment [more impactful]. He says something about wanting a family. For someone like Will, who never had family, is facing death and realizing that he’s not going to get that, it’s pretty devastating. It’s pretty heartbreaking.

‘Will Trent’ Season 4 Needs To Address These 7 Things (or Else)

Seriously, we need answers!

It’s very impressive how much you were able to pull off in this episode.

RODRÍGUEZ: That means a lot, honestly. I always want to continue to elevate and push, and not feel like we’re comfortable and that we’re just settled in. I want to keep elevating the show. I know the writers and the cast and the crew do, as well. This was one that I felt like we really got to step it up. Honestly, when we talked about it, I let everyone know, “Just so you know, we’re making a movie right now. This isn’t an episode of television. This is a feature film on a television schedule and budget.”

Cruz Beckham’s ‘Loneliest Boy’ Has Fans Connecting The Dots To Brooklyn

Published

on

Cruz Beckham

Cruz Beckham, the third child of David and Victoria Beckham, is drawing attention for his new song, as listeners focus on its emotional lyrics. Many believe the singer wrote “Loneliest Boy” with his eldest brother, Brooklyn, in mind, seemingly hinting at his estrangement from the family.

This comes months after Brooklyn distanced himself from the rest of the Beckhams, blocking any communication with them after a lengthy post on Instagram alleging his parents had been controlling his life.

Is ‘Loneliest Boy’ About Brooklyn Beckham?

Cruz is on tour in the UK, and he has been performing an unreleased song titled “Loneliest Boy,” which seems to be about Brooklyn. The singer posted a short clip on social media on March 16, showing him singing the somber song and playing the guitar.

“Loneliest boy, mama don’t talk too much / It’s breaking her heart / It shows in the small things that you don’t do,” Cruz sang. In another part of the song, the lyrics talk about the loneliest boy always finding “something bad in somebody good.”

“Loneliest boy, I hope that you’re listening / Don’t push all your friends away, when we’re tryna show you love,” Cruz crooned.

Many fans loved the song, while others simply reacted with a crying face emoji, moved by the emotion behind the lyrics. One commented, “Awww, those words cut deep, it’s a beautiful song,” while one wrote, “Tell who hes addressing song to [sic].”

Cruz Beckham Defended His Parents

In December 2025, several outlets reported that David and Victoria unfollowed Brooklyn on Instagram amid their ongoing family feud. Cruz cleared the air and defended his parents by posting a screenshot of Daily Mail’s headline writing, “NOT TRUE. My mum and dad would never unfollow their son.. Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked… as did I.

In mid-January, Brooklyn released a lengthy statement on Instagram Stories, airing out his grievances toward his parents and claiming they “controlled” his life. He also alleged that his family “consistently disrespected” his wife, Nikola Peltz. “I do not want to reconcile with my family,” he said toward the end of the post.

In March, Cruz uploaded a cooking video on TikTok, where he made potato soup with cheese and bacon bits. “wanna see the best cooking video ever? don’t watch this then,” he captioned the post.

It was an innocent post, but fans were quick to point out that it may have been a dig at Brooklyn, who is passionate about cooking and often posts cooking videos on his social media. Cruz also posted the video on Instagram, tagging the Beckhams’ long-time family friend and celebrated chef, Gordon Ramsay, telling him to “watch out!”

As previously reported by The Blast, Ramsay shared his opinions on the rift between the Beckhams and offered Brooklyn some advice. At that time, the chef was still in contact with Brooklyn. Days later, however, Brooklyn also blocked Ramsay and his kids on social media.

David and Victoria seemingly want to bury the hatchet and reconcile with their eldest son. On March 4, Brooklyn celebrated his 27th birthday, and his parents greeted him on social media, posting Instagram Stories with sweet photos of Brooklyn during happier times with them. The couple expressed their love for Brooklyn and greeted him a happy birthday. Brooklyn didn’t respond to the post.

On March 15, it was Mother’s Day in the UK, and again, Brooklyn failed to greet Victoria. He did, however, greet his mother-in-law the day before, which also happened to be her birthday. “Happy birthday to the best mother in law x love u so much and hope u had the most amazing day,” he wrote.

Cruz Beckahm Hopes For A Reconciliation With Brooklyn

In an article with a video published on March 17, HELLO! caught up with Cruz as he was walking down the street and asked him whether he had spoken to Brooklyn amid the ongoing tensions in their family. Cruz kept his head down while walking, seemingly ignoring the question.

He was then asked whether he was hoping to repair their relationship. After a few strides, he looked up and said, “Hope to.”

Cruz is in the middle of his “mini tour” and will be heading to Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, and London for the rest of March.

Dune: Part Three Trailer Is The End Of The Beginning

Dune: Part Three Trailer Is The End Of The Beginning

By Jonathan Klotz
| Published

Generations of sci-fi fans waited for Dune to finally be recognized as one of the greatest sci-fi epics in history. Frank Herbert’s grand vision was deemed unfilmable, unadaptable, and incomprehensible for the average movie-goer. That’s why the reveal of Dune: Part Three is so stunning. The story of the second novel, Dune Messiah, is coming to theaters. It’s being marketed as the conclusion of the Dune trilogy, which is odd, as in the books, it’s the end of the prologue to the real story yet to come.

Dune: Part Three Brings Dune Messiah To Life

After the events of Dune: Part Two, Paul Atreides (Timothee Chalamet) is seen in the teaser trailer as the leader of the Fremen, accepting his role as their Messiah, the Muad’Dib, while his lover Chani (Zendaya) appears to be pregnant. The teaser doesn’t reveal if it’s a boy or a girl, but what the brief two minutes and 30 seconds of footage does reveal is Paul’s doubts about being the Messiah. In the best line of the teaser, his mother, Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson) reminds Paul that his father “didn’t start any wars.”

Dune: Part Three is again going to be full of amazing special effects, gorgeous shots of Arakkis, and even more all-out wars between the Fremen and everyone who wants them dead. Which, as it turns out, is everyone else. Towards the end of the trailer, we hear Paul say he’s not afraid to die, not yet, as what looks like the biggest explosion yet goes off right in front of him.

A Darker Story Than It Looks

Those who have read the books are excited that Dune: Part Three looks, amazingly, to contain the major plot beats of the novel. If Denis Villeneuve and Brian K. Vaughn’s script sticks to Frank Herbert’s masterpiece, this is going to be a dark, but very satisfying movie that’s not going to go the way fans of the films will expect. The trailer looks like it’s front-loading the battle scenes, but as with every Dune film, it’s the political intrigue and philosophical discussion that’s going to eat up most of the running time.

Joining the cast for Dune: Part Three is Robert Pattinson, as the Tleilaxu Face Dancer, Scytale, another role that’s going to remind people that playing Edward in Twilight was the odd role out for one of Hollywood’s strangest leading men. The returning Florence Pugh, as Paul’s wife Irulan, and Anna Taylor-Joy as his sister, Alia, will get substantially more to do in the third movie. Jason Momoa, who brings to life Duncan Idaho, will also get a lot more screen time now that he’s overcome the small problem of being dead.

The Last Dune Movie Because Studios Are Cowards

There’s a lot to unpack in just over two minutes of footage, and book readers can already pick out key scenes that have made the jump to the big screen, but it’s the marketing for Dune: Part Three that’s revealing a whole lot. We knew Denis Villeneuve was only to make three movies, but again, the original series is six novels, with Dune and Dune Messiah becoming mere footnotes by the time of the fourth novel, God-Emperor of Dune. No studio will ever adapt that particular novel about a human/sandworm hybrid galactic tyrant ruling for thousands of years as he brings humanity to his grand vision, “The Golden Path.”

All of that is to say that Dune: Part Three, referred to as the end of the trilogy, is going to be as far as Hollywood goes into Frank Herbert’s universe. This is the final time we’ll get to see Villeneuve’s vision for Arakkis, and in a landscape devoid of smart sci-fi, it might be the last great sci-fi blockbuster of this decade.

Dax Shepard Loves Looking ‘Weirdly Authentic’ In Hollywood

Published

on

Dax Shepard at Tribeca TV Festival 2019 Season 2 World Premiere of ABC's "BLESS THIS MESS" in NYC

Dax Shepard recently made an interesting revelation, shedding light on his views about plastic surgery.

The actor revealed that while he is not against plastic surgery, he would prefer to remain as authentic as possible.

This update comes shortly after Shepard addressed jaw implant rumors, making it clear that he has not gone under the knife for any enhancements.

Dax Shepard Opens Up About Getting Plastic Surgery

During the March 16 episode of his podcast, “Armchair Expert,” Shepard opened up about his evolving relationship with his appearance.

The 51-year-old actor admitted to his guest, “Scrubs” star Zach Braff, that he frequently debates whether or not to get a facelift.

While Shepard maintains that he has “zero judgment” for those who choose plastic surgery, he finds himself wanting to stay exactly as he is about 80 percent of the time.

He explained that there is a certain “weird value” in being one of the few people in the industry who chooses to look “weirdly authentic” as the years pass.

“I’m like, this is actually kind of cool. I’m going to be one of the few people that didn’t have a facelift, and I’m going to look weirdly authentic. I think that’s going to have some weird value,” he said, per PEOPLE Magazine

However, the actor confessed that the remaining 20 percent of the time, his vanity takes over. Given that he has the financial means, he sometimes questions why he wouldn’t simply go through with a procedure.

This is not the first time Shepard has spoken about getting cosmetic procedures. He has also had to address specific rumors regarding his changing facial structure. During a January episode of “Armchair Expert,” the 51-year-old actor admitted that watching his older projects like “Parenthood” with his children makes him realize how much his appearance has shifted.

“I will acknowledge, I’ll be watching with my children, like ‘Parenthood,’ we watch with them. And I’m going, ‘Oh, my God, dude, I look so different,’” he said, per The Blast.

Shepard clarified that these physical changes are actually the result of natural weight gain rather than a surgical procedure. He explained to guest Kumail Nanjiani that a thicker neck can completely transform a person’s profile, a theory Nanjiani supported based on his own experiences with shifting body fat.

Nanjiani also took the opportunity to dismiss similar plastic surgery rumors about himself, noting that while he has tried Botox, he has never undergone a jaw operation.

While Shepard has faced years of public scrutiny regarding his appearance and rumors of jaw implants, those superficial concerns pale in comparison to a life-threatening ordeal from his youth.

The podcast host revealed a terrifying car accident that occurred during his senior year of high school while traveling from Toledo to Detroit. Shepard was resting in the backseat of a Ford Probe while a friend drove at 85 miles per hour with cruise control engaged, per The Blast.

The situation turned dire when Shepard was jolted awake by the sound of gravel, only to discover his friend had fallen asleep behind the wheel.

Miraculously, the car missed the trees and eventually came to a stop upside down. Both Shepard and his friend were able to crawl out through the windows, escaping the wreckage, shaken but without any serious physical injuries.

The Actor Had A Brief Romantic Encounter With Jessica Alba

Weeks after Shepard opened up about his near-death encounter, he briefly reminisced about a brief but memorable fling with actress Jessica Alba that took place roughly twenty years ago.

According to The Blast, the two former flames reunited on the set of the 2017 Netflix film “El Camino Christmas,” leading to a moment that deeply flattered Shepard.

While sitting in the makeup trailer, the actor privately assumed that Alba would want to keep their past “make-out” sessions a secret from their colleagues. To his surprise, Alba openly shouted across the room to ask if he remembered when they used to date, showing no embarrassment about their history.

Shepard joked that his low self-esteem had convinced him she would be ashamed, but her public acknowledgement made him feel validated and proud of their brief time together.

While the casual openness of his former flame, Alba, provided a boost to his self-esteem, Shepard’s most significant bond remains his unique family life with Kristen Bell.

The couple is well-known for their transparency, but their relationship with podcast co-host Monica Padman has also piqued public interest.

Padman’s journey with the pair began in 2011 when she moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting and started working as a babysitter for their daughters.

Over time, her role evolved from a nanny to a trusted assistant and speechwriter for Bell, eventually leading to her becoming a deeply integrated member of their household, per The Blast

Reflecting on the early years of their arrangement, Padman described the household environment as a relaxed and collaborative space where everyone pitched in.

Disney Executive Sues Company For $40 Million Over Blatant Discrimination

Disney Executive Sues Company For $40 Million Over Blatant Discrimination

By Jennifer Asencio
| Published

The Disney Corporation has experienced a lot of upheaval so far this year. First, Bob Iger announced he was stepping aside. Then Josh D’Amaro taking his place was overshadowed by the huge promotion of Dana Walden from Head of Entertainment to Chief Creative Officer. Now, Disney is being sued by another top exec for racial discrimination.

The plaintiff is Jay Ong, Head of Disney Games Group. His job has been to oversee the production, marketing, and sales of games that fall under the Disney umbrella. This includes not only Disney IP, like the Toy Story games, but also Marvel and Star Wars games, such as Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic, which was announced in December at the 2025 Game Awards. The Disney games are performing above expectations right now, but Ong has taken a huge pay cut in the form of bonuses and incentives.

Suspicious Pay Cuts Despite Stellar Performance

Disney Games Group oversees production, marketing, and sales, of games such as Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic

The trouble started in February 2025, when Vice President of HR Natalia Strauch told him in an evaluation meeting that he was a “poor cultural fit” for the company. He was also told he was getting a pay cut, losing roughly $40,000 in bonuses and $150,000 in incentives. His work was called “exceptional,” but he was told he was taking the cut anyway.

Meanwhile, he alleges in his suit, Strauch also contacted his executive coach behind his back, which is against company policy. He claims this contact led to the reductions in his bonus and incentives, and that Strauch was trying to “dig up dirt” on him.

The discrimination, Ong contests, is against Asian employees at Disney. He alleges that the meeting with Strauch, the contact with his executive coach, and the reduction in compensation were all intended to drive him out of the company by embarrassing him. His suit alleges “such treatment is part of a broader pattern at Disney whereby those of Asian descent – the few which Disney deigns to hire – are discriminated against.”

On this basis, Ong is suing Disney for $40 million.

Ong’s History With House Of Mouse

While Ong is certainly not poor, the fact is that he has overseen the release of several successful Disney games during his tenure. Before managing the entire Disney library of video games, he was head of Marvel games for a decade. Since even HR admitted that his performance in his position was “exceptional,” the House of Mouse is going to find themselves in serious trouble if it turns out they’re actually discriminating against Ong and other Asian executives. It is clear the company’s treatment of Ong was unfair, given that the video game department is the only segment of Disney that hasn’t suffered under its recent leadership struggles.

At this time, Ong still lists Disney as his current employer. However, Disney has seen a lot of its executives depart recently, and a discrimination suit might lead to the departure of yet another. This time, though, it’s someone who was actually succeeding at his job, leading to a net loss for the Magic Kingdom.

Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE during a press preview of “The Bachelorette” in New York City on Tuesday, March 17, Paul addressed the domestic violence allegations against her for the first time.

“Honestly, just like, my heart hurts to see it, to go through it, especially at this time,” Paul told the outlet. “Just the timing is hard, and it’s a big deal. I feel like every premiere that I’ve experienced, I’ve never enjoyed fully, so this is another one… it’s extremely hard, and it took everything to get me here today.”

“It’s just heavy. It’s a heavy time, and it’s unfortunate,” she continued before sharing that she is currently “struggling” as the details and fallout of the incident continue to unfold.

“I’m struggling for sure, but also at the same time I feel like if I don’t show up, then I’m just giving these opportunities away and not enjoying what we’ve worked on and something super exciting that’s coming. I just feel like it was the right thing to do… show up even though it’s hard,” Paul said.

Paul Shared That ‘The Bachelorette’ Experience Was ‘Best Thing’ She Could Have Done

The reality star also told PEOPLE that the decision to accept the offer to be “The Bachelorette” was an easy one, as heading to Los Angeles to film for months allowed her to get “out of my toxicity of a life in Utah and bubble.”

“It was like the best thing I could have done,” Paul added, noting that the show’s contestants were “different” than the men back in her Utah hometown.

“There was a lot of reassurance in who I am, you know, from all these men being just kind and gentle and gentlemen,” she said of the men. “It kind of brought out my true side of who I am and honestly belief in me, value, worth… they made me feel reassured in that and reminded me of that. It was a journey of also that too.”

‘Bachelorette’ Cast Says Taylor Frankie Paul Was ‘Softer’ And ‘Pleasant To Be Around’ While Filming

Several members of the season 22 cast of “The Bachelorette” recently spoke with TMZ and sang Taylor Frankie Paul’s praises, notably pointing out how different she was on the show in stark contrast to what “Mormon Wives” fans see and the current domestic violence allegations against her.

The contestants told the outlet that while filming Paul was “kind, genuine, and well-intentioned,” and displayed “a softer, more authentic side.” They also added that overall she was “consistently pleasant to be around.”

Regarding the recent domestic violence allegations, they said that while the claims are “troubling,” they believe there are many misconceptions about Paul and want the public to refrain from rushing to judge, and that the full truth of what happened during the incident will be revealed in time.

‘The Bachelorette’ Still On Track To Air New Season Despite DV Allegations Fallout

According to TMZ, as of now, ABC has decided that the premiere of “The Bachelorette,” starring Paul will still air as planned, despite recent allegations of domestic violence against her.

Per the outlet, Paul is currently in New York City on a press run to promote the show, which is still slated to air the full season in its entirety. She is also still set to appear at the Los Angeles premiere for the show.

Additionally, TMZ also shared details about “The Bachelorette” team being laser-focused on casting Paul for the show despite her drama-filled past and prior domestic violence arrest.

An inside source close to the show, told the outlet that “Bachelorette” producers wanted Paul badly for the show because they felt that due to the massive success of “Mormon Wives” and her immense social media following she could increase the show’s lagging ratings.

However, since they wanted her at all cost, the source said they admittedly “cut corners” during the vetting process.

ABC has since hired a public relations crisis manager amid the news of Paul’s alleged domestic violence incident involving ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen.

Taylor Frankie Paul And Dakota Mortensen Ordered For Psych Evaluation, ‘Mormon Wives’ Production Halted

Per TMZ, Mortensen has made calls to the Utah Division of Child and Family Services multiple times alleging Paul has been physically abusive to their son, which Paul firmly denies.

According to the outlet, in late February, the former couple got into a verbal altercation while inside Mortensen’s car after Paul reportedly spilled a drink. Inside sources shared that Mortensen became “enraged” and “got physical” with Paul, however, he called the police and told them that she was the one who assaulted him.

Following the incident, a source close to Paul told TMZ that Mortensen disappeared for weeks and ditched filming, which led to production being put on pause. However, sources with “Mormon Wives” said that filming stopped because cast members refused to film amid the domestic violence and child abuse allegations, despite production wanting to continue filming season 5.

Additionally, due to Mortensen repeatedly calling DCFS on Paul, alleging abuse, both are now required to undergo psychological evaluations.

When production on “Mormon Wives” resumes, it has not been decided what capacity, if any, Mortensen will be part of the show.

According to PEOPLE,  the Draper City Police Department confirmed to the outlet that an open “domestic assault investigation” exists between Paul and Mortensen. Per the police department’s spokesperson, “allegations have been made in both directions” and “contact was made with involved parties on [Feb] 24th and 25th.”

An inside source connected to “Mormon Wives” confirmed the production pause. “They are not filming,” the source said. “Taylor [Frankie Paul] has some pretty serious stuff happening regarding her past, and they will see what happens. Until that resolves, they are off.”

Things are reportedly so serious that Paul’s fellow MomTok members have all distanced themselves from her. “None of the women want to be associated with her,” the source told the outlet.

Jerry O’Connell has shared candid details about his life, as he recently recalled a tense moment with his wife, Rebecca Romijn, and their daughters.

According to the actor, the women got “physical” with him due to his opinion about the outcome of the election and former Vice President Kamala Harris.

Jerry O’Connell also hinted that he walks on eggshells around his wife and kids, claiming they would get angry at him if he made any kind of joke.

O’Connell opened up about his home life with wife Rebecca Romijn and their twin daughters in a revealing chat on Bill Maher’s “Club Random” podcast on Monday, March 16.

The “Stand By Me” actor, 52, first shared a tense moment involving his family after he made comments about Kamala Harris losing the 2024 presidential election to Donald Trump.

“I said something along the lines of, ‘There was no planning. This is what they get. There should have been a primary,’” O’Connell recalled. “I was just spit-balling ideas.”

The reaction, however, caught him off guard. “It was shocking,” he noted. “My wife and daughters, without saying anything, became physical with me. They were filled with rage.”

O’Connell admitted that, despite his comments, he never expected Harris to lose and acknowledged the need to be cautious about his words at home.

“I live in California,” he said. “I live with not one, not two, but three people who, if I made any kind of joke, they’d become very angry with me.”

O’Connell and Romijn, 53, have been married since 2007 and are parents to 17-year-old twins, Dolly and Charlie.

While it’s unclear how serious O’Connell was about his wife and kids’ reactions to his jokes, the actor once revealed that he avoids getting into fights with Romijn, telling the Daily Mail that, “If there’s an argument brewing, I try not to engage.”

“I try to distance myself,” he added, noting that he would even go as far as leaving the house whenever things get tense.

In another part of the episode, O’Connell asked Maher, 70, known for smoking marijuana during recordings, to “get higher than you’ve ever been on any episode” and blow smoke in his face.

Maher agreed, saying he’d be “happy” to, and asked whether O’Connell smoked himself. “I don’t smoke myself, but listen, I live with someone who smokes — vapes, actually,” he replied, referring to Romijn.

Joking about the intimate side of their relationship, O’Connell added, “The only time my wife finds me appealing, is intimate with me … the only time my wife — what’s the word? — touches me is if my wife takes a hit off that pen.”

Maher then asked if O’Connell was a “health nut,” prompting the actor to admit he often indulges in processed snacks and takeout. “I’m getting this picture: A guy doesn’t get laid unless his wife is high, he’s always on Instagram, eating sh-tty food,” Maher teased.

O’Connell laughed and replied, “Well, my wife gets high every day, so don’t worry about me!”

The Actor And His Wife Speak About Their ‘Community Pot’ Approach To Family Finances

O’Connell and Romijn have also been open about how they manage their finances.

During a July 2025 appearance on Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM show, they revealed that while they keep their personal spending separate, they contribute to a shared “community pot” for joint expenses.

“That’s like one of the first conversations you have when you decide to enter into a legal agreement together,” Romijn explained.

How much each of them contributes, however, isn’t fixed. It shifts depending on who’s earning more at the time.

“I have to say, we actually throttle how much money we put into that account sometimes,” O’Connell said, while Romijn added, “Depending on who’s working more. The one who isn’t working gets a little break, and the one who is working puts in a little more. And we really tag-team with work.”

Jerry O’Connell Reveals Hypnosis Helped Him Quit Smoking After Decades Of Nicotine Use

O’Connell has also recently opened up about another deeply personal chapter during the February 13 episode of the “Work In Progress” podcast with Sophia Bush, where he reflected on his decade-long battle with nicotine and how he finally quit.

“I struggled with nicotine for decades… I had to get hypnotized,” O’Connell shared, noting that he hasn’t smoked in about 14 years.

The turning point, he revealed, came from an ultimatum at home. According to the actor, his wife made it clear she wouldn’t be physically affectionate with him if he continued smoking, and she followed through. What he initially brushed off as a joke quickly became reality.

“After about three and a half weeks, I was like, I gotta do something,” he recalled.

Although he tried quitting on his own, he admitted it didn’t stick until he explored hypnosis after a recommendation from a friend, which, despite having doubts, actually helped him stop smoking.
