TNA Wrestling star Elayna Black has revealed her most embarrassing moment in the ring, where even the referee thought she was ‘dying’.

The 25-year-old wrestler, who rose to fame as Cora Jade in WWE before her release in MONTH 2025, first appeared for TNA in March that year as part of the partnership between the two companies when she represented NXT against then-Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich at Sacrifice.
Speaking exclusively to Metro before tonight’s Sacrifice event, Elayna recalled delaying her usual pre-match beet juice drink with just five minutes till her entrance.
Already feeling nervous, she ‘chugged’ the whole thing, and before the announcements were done, she was already feeling queasy.
‘The match starts, I just felt so sick the whole time, holding it down. I remember it was a double-down with me and Masha,’ she said.

‘I was like, “Oh no, I have to throw up”. I tried to make it to the edge of the ring, but I didn’t, I threw up in the ring!

‘But because it was straight beet juice, it just looked like a puddle of blood… It was my throw-up! Everyone thought she hit me and I was bleeding. The ref thought I was dying!’
By the time fans saw what happened, it ‘looked like a mysterious puddle of blood’. Despite her love of hardcore wrestling, she admitted that she has issues with the sight of blood.
‘God, I just remember being very sick to my stomach afterwards,’ she said of her first deathmatch in her late teens. ‘I do not do good with blood, and I had clotting blood coming out of my elbow.’

Tonight, she faces Mane Sade in a No Disqualification match, which could be a problem.
‘I’m worse 1774626381, if anything. I don’t know what’s happened to me as I’ve gotten older, but I get so queasy,’ she laughed.
‘Blood in wrestling doesn’t bother me, but when it’s on me and I’m looking at it, that bothers me.’

‘”Damn, I’m so young still, and my dreams are over,”‘ she thought at the time. ‘”What the f**k am I gonna do for the rest of my life?!”‘

Her mental health ‘took a turn’, and she stepped back from wrestling after some advice from CM Punk.
‘Punk left for 10 years and came back – obviously, the situation was different,’ she added. ‘But how many times has this happened where someone has been cut and not only came back, but came back a better version and more of a superstar?’
That doesn’t mean that TNA is a step back to WWE.
She’s trying to build herself and the company up, and she still sends her matches and promo to Punk for ‘honest’ advice, which is a ‘surreal’ experience after growing up watching everything he did.

It was tough for Elayna to step away for a few months in 2025, and she totally closed herself off for the first time since becoming a fan at around eight years old.

‘During that time, I wasn’t thinking about wrestling at all. I wasn’t watching it. I wasn’t looking at it online,’ she added.
That was a conscious move.
‘I wanted to miss it, because I told myself, if I didn’t miss it, then I didn’t want to do it anymore, period,’ she said. ‘[Now] I have a second chance.’
As a lifelong fan, she appreciates people wanting to meet their idols, but after the recent drama surrounding Chappell Roan and a young fan approaching her at a hotel, Elayna thinks there has to be a line.

She’s been that fan sitting outside for hours hoping that a wrestler would give them a few seconds of their time, but hotels are ‘not the place to do that’, she stated.
‘There have been a lot of times people have been weird, and you feel uncomfortable and you don’t feel safe… It’s just not okay, and it’s very much an invasion of privacy,’ she said.
As well as meet and greets, Elayna connects with fans through her OnlyFans account.

‘I’m very much someone who thinks that women should be able to do what they want with their bodies,’ she said. ‘People are gonna sexualise and objectify you, no matter what. It’s sh***y to say, and it sucks that it is that way.
‘But if I’m able to make an OnlyFans and post pictures and get paid to do so, why would I not do that?’

Elayna is grateful that she gets to ‘live her dream’ as a wrestler, while also being able to make money in another way.
‘I had never seen income like that before,’ she admitted. ‘I’m not touching it right now, but it’s there for the future.’
Speaking of what’s to come, Elayna still has some dream matches, including AEW’s Mercedes Mone and WWE legend AJ Lee.
Tonight, she’s hoping to add to the company’s rich history of bloody and violent matches.

‘Hopefully someone will say one day that this was their favourite hardcore match in TNA,’ she said.
‘It’s pressure, but good pressure. And I think we’re gonna tear the house down.’

A paedophile sent sexualised messages to a nine-year-old and asked him to be his boyfriend. He later told his victim to delete the messages and not to tell his mother about them, which allowed him to conceal what he had done.
Thomas Serpell, 28, sent a series of text messages to his victim which was “sexual and disturbed”. He asked the boy to “be his boyfriend” and asked him to kiss him, as well as asking him if he could see him naked.
A sentencing hearing at Cardiff Crown Court on Friday heard the victim was left “confused and comfortable” by the messages. Don’t miss a court report by signing upto our crime newsletter here.
There were further messages where the defendant asked the boy not to tell his mother about the messages and to delete them, which the boy did.

He later told the boy the messages were a “joke”.
But when the matter was reported to the police, Serpell denied any messages between him and the victim had been sent.
In his sentencing remarks, Judge Paul Hobson said: “You only have to think how frightening and disturbing this episode must have been for that child.
“The impact on him has been significant.”

In a victim personal statement read to the court by prosecutor Laurence Jones, the boy said he was scared to go out alone and the impact on him had left struggling to eat and sleep.
He has become more isolated, with only a small circle of friends and said at times he “feels he doesn’t want to be here anymore.
There have been concerns about the boy self harming.
Serpell, of Regent Street, Aberaman, Aberdare, later pleaded guilty to engaging in sexual communication with a child.

The court heard he was of previous good character.
In mitigation, Nick Gedge said his client has epilepsy and told the court the offence took place shortly after the defendant had suffered a seizure.
The barrister said: “He knows what he did was wrong and expresses remorse and regret about what happened.”
Mr Gedge said his client was bullied in school and by his father because of his sexuality.

Judge Hobson said: “You claim you sent these messages after coming out of an epileptic seizure. I do not accept your illness had an impact on your behaviour or your recollection of what you did…
“Epilepsy does not cause people to sexually offend againt children, you have sought to minimise your behaviour.”
Serpell was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment.
The defendant was also made subject to a restraining order, a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, and sex offender notification requirements, each to run for 10 years.

York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority has approved a plan to partner with British Cycling to bring the race to the county.
The proposal would see £350,000 of mayoral investment funding used to secure the event, with additional costs of up to £400,000 shared on a 50/50 basis with North Yorkshire Council to cover road closures and event management.
The Tour of Britain is one of the world’s leading cycling competitions, attracting elite international teams and broadcast to more than 100 countries.
Organisers say each stage can generate between £2m and £12m for the local economy.

Under the proposals, North Yorkshire would host a full stage of the men’s race in 2026, with a further stage planned for 2027.

While the final route is yet to be decided, organisers have indicated a preference for both the start and finish to take place within North Yorkshire rather than York, due to the logistical challenges of staging the event in a city environment.
The route is also expected to include a hill stage.
Leaders say hosting the event would support wider ambitions to promote active travel, boost tourism and attract inward investment to the region.

The Mayor of York and North Yorkshire, David Skaith, welcomed the proposal at a combined authority meeting at County Hall in Northallerton today (FRIDAY).
“The impact on the visitor economy over the period should be incredible.
“We need to make sure we have that real legacy after as well, so it’s not just a day event, it’s how we can make the most of it going forward.”

North Yorkshire Council leader, Councillor Carl Les, said he supported the idea in principle.
“North Yorkshire’s been hosting cycle races since the Grand Depart. People are still talking about the way that public took to it.
“Happy to support it but inevitably we do need to have discussions about the route because it’s got to be right for the cyclists but it’s also got to be right for the community that’s hosting it.”
The county hosted the 2014 Tour de France Grand Départ, with the Tour de Yorkshire held from 2015 to 2019.

On Thursday, the office issued a warning of “unstable conditions” until Friday morning, predicting rain of “varying intensity, at times accompanied by lightning and thunder”, plus “occasionally strong” winds and reduced visibilty from dust and sand it raised.

And Klopp believes the Reds have an impossible job in finding Salah’s successor. He added: “This specific kind of player is irreplaceable. That’s always how it is.
“There will be a void that somebody will fill. It’s always in our minds how much time, how much space – yeah, how much time do we give to whoever is going to play there in whatever system the manager will play?
“But the specific player, Mo Salah? I’m not sure there is even another one existing out there. There are other people playing on that wing with different strengths, different qualities, but it is the numbers he produces – they are unmatched from that position.

Images of never-ending security lines at U.S. airports and frustrating tales of missed flights are pushing panicked travelers to show up way before their departures. But some airports where the wait times have been manageable are telling passengers to stop arriving so early.
In Ohio, John Glenn International Airport in Columbus says early birds — reacting to the funding standoff on Capitol Hill that’s creating crowded security checkpoints — are making things worse by creating bottlenecks during peak times.
“Arriving too early can actually create longer lines right when we open,” the airport said in a social media post Thursday. “Spacing out arrival times helps keep things moving smoothly for everyone.”
The airport even created a chart showing when to arrive: “90 minutes before departure is all you need.”

What’s confusing for air passengers, though, is that it’s hard to predict which airports will be plagued next by security lines spilling out of terminals.
The government shutdown straining Transportation Security Administration staffing has ballooned checkpoint wait times beyond two hours at some major airports. George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston has become the biggest chokepoint for travelers with four-hour security lines.
Those are by far the worst-case scenarios. Many airports — like the one in Ohio — have been seeing wait times comparable with those in normal times. That’s why airlines say the best advice for passengers right now is to check TSA wait times before their scheduled departures.
In some ways, it’s a bit reminiscent of the days of “ panic buying ” during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

“It’s human nature. You don’t have control over what’s going on at an airport,” said Shari Botwin, a Philadelphia clinical social worker who counsels people about anxiety.
“There’s so much media attention about the chaos at airports,” she said. “They might not trust when someone says, ’Well, you don’t need to come out early anymore.’”

Pro-Iranian hackers say they’ve infiltrated the account of FBI director Kash Patel after posting his personal photos and documents online.
The release included years-old pictures of Mr Patel, along with a work CV, and other personal records – many of them seemingly more than a decade old.
In a message posted on Friday, the hacker group Handala wrote: “Kash Patel, the current head of the FBI, who once saw his name displayed with pride on the agency’s headquarters, will now find his name among the list of successfully hacked victims.”

In a statement, the FBI said: “The FBI is aware of malicious actors targeting Director Patel’s personal email information, and we have taken all necessary steps to mitigate potential risks associated with this activity.”

The bureau added: “The information in question is historical in nature and involves no government information.”
A Department of Justice official told Reuters the material appeared to be authentic.
One of the hacked photos showed Mr Patel standing beside an antique sports car; another showed him with a cigar in his mouth.
Many of the records released appeared to relate to his personal travels and business in years past, before he was appointed to head the bureau.

It’s not clear when the infiltration occurred, but Mr Patel was reportedly informed by the FBI in December 2024 that he had been targeted as part of an Iranian hack.

Education Minister Paul Givan has rejected allegations of bullying, stating he has never been the subject of any formal investigation, following renewed questions around the circumstances surrounding a senior civil servant’s departure from the Department of Education.
The issue resurfaced during Topical Questions in the Assembly earlier this week, when Sinn Féin MLAs pressed the minister on whether he had faced an investigation into claims of bullying within his department. The intervention follows long-running speculation about the senior civil servant’s departure from the department.
Last year, the Head of the Civil Service, Jayne Brady, declined to confirm or deny to Belfast Live whether an HR investigation had taken place, amid claims that the senior official involved had raised concerns about alleged ministerial conduct.

In a formal Written Ministerial Statement issued to the Speaker of the Assembly on Friday for inclusion in the Official Report of the Assembly, Mr Givan said: “In the House on 23 March during Topical Questions, I was asked by a number of Sinn Féin MLAs whether I had ever been subject to an Investigation in relation to allegations of bullying within the Department of Education. Given the repetition of such innuendo outside the House, I want to restate unequivocally that I have never been the subject of any such Investigation.”
He added that the line of questioning in the Assembly appeared to be based on “a false premise”, and said he had not been provided with any specific allegations when he sought clarification from those raising the issue.
“When I sought clarification from the MLAs about the basis for their questions, no details or specific allegations were provided. On further reflection, it is possible they were alluding to a confidential NICS HR Review into the conduct and performance of a civil servant. However, because the questions were based on a false premise, I cannot be certain that this was, in fact, what was being referred to.”
The minister said it was possible that MLAs were referring to a confidential Northern Ireland Civil Service HR review, but stressed that the process related solely to the conduct and performance of a civil servant and not to any ministerial role.

“The Head of the Civil Service has confirmed that the matter referenced was led by her, in her capacity as Head of the Northern Ireland Civil Service, and it concerned internal management/HR matters.
“It was neither a disciplinary determination nor a legal process. She further confirmed that the issues being progressed are management, organisational and NICS policy matters, and do not relate to any individual Minister.”
Mr Givan said he had participated in that review only as a witness and insisted he was not under investigation at any stage. He also addressed claims made by the civil servant after they had left his department.
“The civil servant concerned, at a time when they were no longer working with or to me, in fact some nine months later, made assertions that my concerns, raised by me with the Head of the Civil Service, about their conduct and performance, constituted bullying.

“These assertions were never part of the Review’s Terms of Reference, which were settled in December 2024, and in any event, I understand that the reviewer rejected these assertions.”
He concluded by saying he would welcome the publication of all material relating to the HR review, adding that he wanted “to set the record straight” on the matter.
Commenting on the statement, FDA National Officer for Northern Ireland Robert Murtagh said: “This is a confidential matter in which the civil servant involved is not in a position to respond publicly due to their professional obligations. The Civil Service Code restricts civil servants’ ability to speak publicly on any issue.
“Where one party is able to comment openly in those circumstances, it creates a clear and unacceptable imbalance and risks undermining confidence in how such situations are handled.

“Any public account given on that basis cannot be fully tested or treated as complete, particularly when others are effectively prevented from offering their perspective.
“Those in positions of authority have a responsibility to respect both the letter and the spirit of confidentiality, especially where their words carry significant weight and cannot be answered, this is affirmed in the Ministerial Code.
“Likewise, there is a clear responsibility under the Ministerial Code and accompanying guidance on ministers to uphold the political impartiality of the civil service. This includes treating civil servants with consideration and respect and not commenting publicly on individual staffing matters.
“Failing to uphold these principles risks damaging confidence not only in this case, but in the wider protections staff rely on. Government can only work effectively if there is trust between ministers and civil servants. That trust includes recognition of the restrictions on civil servants to defend themselves publicly and the obligation that places on ministers to deal with issues confidentially.”
If approved, the bar could create up to 18 new jobs
A former department store could be turned into a sports bar and restaurant. Baileys Bar is seeking a change of use for the former Beales store in St Neots High Street.

The applicant proposes to change the first floor of the building into a sports bar and restaurant, and use the second and third floors for access and ancillary use. The change is intended to “secure the viable use of an underutilised upper floor within the town centre”.
Beales has been closed for several years. Part of the wider building is already used by other businesses, including a gym on the ground floor.
The first floor is vacant and the second floor is used as staff offices. If approved, the sports bar will include a restaurant with bar seating, dining areas, games, entertainment zones, a kitchen and toilets. The applicant also wishes to hold “occasional” live music events, background music during normal operating hours and karaoke facilities within acoustic pods.
The plans added: “Live music will take place on an occasional basis only and will be managed as part of specific events rather than as a continuous late-night music venue. The karaoke pods are self-contained and designed to contain sound internally, significantly limiting breakout into surrounding areas.”

The proposed opening hours are 9am until midnight from Mondays until Saturdays and 10am until 11pm on Sundays. On selected Saturdays, the bar could stay open until 1am. The bar could create up to 12 jobs for front of house staff and between three and six jobs in the kitchen.
To manage the club’s operations and avoid disruption, there will be: supervision of entry and exit points, management of dispersal at closing time, control of music levels and no dedicated external entertainment areas.
The applicant will not have to create new openings, as they will use existing ones. They added: “Customer access is via the existing Huntingdon Street entrance and stairwell.
“This entrance is already established and avoids introducing new openings or circulation routes within the listed fabric. An existing passenger lift provides access for customers between floors, ensuring inclusive access to the first-floor venue. Servicing and deliveries will continue to take place from the rear service area via Tebbutts Road, utilising the existing service lift to the first floor.”
