AC Milan’s 7m signing playing in 4th division seeks January exit

Milan’s summer signing, David Odogu, has logged more minutes with the Milan Futuro side than with the senior team, so his agents, with the club’s approval, are reportedly seeking a January loan move for him.
Odogu joined Milan on deadline day from Wolfsburg for €7m plus €3m add-ons, but has been struggling with playing time at a senior level this term, collecting only 11 minutes across all competitions, in the first game of the season in Coppa Italia against Bari.
According to Calciomercato.com, Massimiliano Allegri is happy with the defender’s commitment and enthusiasm in training, but clearly, Odogu is not seen as a good fit at a senior level at San Siro. Not yet, at least.
Odogu has so far featured in two games with Milan Futuro in Serie D, Italy’s fourth division. The 19-year-old played the full 90 minutes against Casatese in September and against Real Calepina yesterday.
As reported by Calciomercato, the two appearances were useful merely for keeping him in decent shape, since the defender’s agents have already received the go-ahead from Milan to secure a January loan.
