Friday OpenThread – Yahoo Sports

Published

on

I’m fighting a losing battle with jet lag. When I was younger it never bothered me but now, I’m a zombie for days. I played tennis yesterday afternoon, badly, in a fog. I don’t get jet lag going to places (or at least not near as bad), I think the fun of being somewhere new gets me through, but coming home….

So instead of trying to come up with a post about the Jays, I’m going to put up this OpenThread and likely go back to bed.

But then, after a little sleep, I’m going to the Calgary Comic Expo. I used to be a big comic book fan, I’d buy comic weekly, but the prices were going up and the nearest comic book store moved much further away and I decided that was a message that I should stop. The last several years I’ve gone to the Expo though and it has been enough to scratch that particular itch.

Anyway, use the thread to talk about anything you would like. Comics if you would like. Or anything else. Seen a good movie lately? Have some thoughts about sumo wrestlers and how they should wear move clothing.

Or maybe you want to talk about Bill Singer’s birthday. Singer started the first Blue Jays game, in the cold, and made 11 other starts (and one relief appearance) that year, his last in the majors. Singer is 82 today. He was 32 when he made that start on opening day. He had a good career, winning 20 games twice, making two all-star teams, and picking up 118 wins in total (127 losses), with a 3.39 ERA.

Recent Seth Rollins fight proved to be a work

Published

on

WWE star Seth Rollins had a rather charged segment outside of the company recently, where he walked out of an interview in a huff. However, it is now clear that the whole thing was a work.

The Visionary has been a somewhat regular part of the GFMB show in NFL as of late. Things took an unexpected turn when Seth Rollins appeared on Good Morning Football just hours before the 2026 NFL Draft, joining Kyle Brandt. The conversation started off centered around Aaron Rodgers, but it didn’t stay on track for long.

Brandt and Rollins got into an argument after the former made a remark about Rodgers continuing to win games at 42 without outcomes being predetermined. This was quite clearly a jab at WWE, which Rollins took as an insult. The segment esclatated to a quarrel between the two, ultimately ending with Rollins walking out.

However, the entire thing was seemingly a work. In a recent Instagram post, Kyle Brandt was seen being quite calm with Rollins, who was also smiling.

You can check out the post below:

Paul Heyman has claimed responsibility for Seth Rollins’ loss at WWE WrestleMania 42

Rollins was not able to emerge victorious at WrestleMania 42 in his match against Gunther.

While the bout seemed like it could go either way, an interference by Bron Breakker completely changed the scenario. Breakker had been out with an injury since Royal Rumble this year, due to an attack orchestrated by Rollins. At WrestleMania 42, Breakker paid back the debt by ensuring the Gunther emerged victorious.

Later on Paul Heyman claimed to be the man behind the plan to attack Rollins. Speaking on the post show segment of WrestleMania, Heyman stated:

“What I can tell you about the events of tonight, I’m sure this is not an exposé, because what happened to Seth Rollins was all predetermined by me. I set his a** up from the very beginning, and I’m damn glad I did it, and if I burn in hell for my actions, there are not enough consequences for what I plan to do to Seth Rollins moving forward in the future,” said Heyman.

What Rollins plans to do next, is something only time will tell.
