Last year, shoppers in the UK lost £11m to cyber criminals in the three months to Christmas, with clothing, high-end tech products and cars among the most common products subject to scams.

The National Cyber Security Centre launched a Black Friday and online shopping fraud campaign last year, warning shoppers to be cautious of fake websites that might resemble genuine retailers. To do this, always double-check that the website URL is correct, watch out for links to deals from social media, too, which might take you to a scam website.
