Luke Littler has disclosed what his parents got him for Christmas – with the World Darts Championship star opening up ahead of his showdown with Ryan Joyce tonight.

The 17-year-old revealed he received an Xbox gift card from his mum – despite already being sponsored by the gaming giant.

Gaming was a clear theme in Littler’s Christmas haul, with the teenage star also unwrapping a new gaming chair and headset among his presents.

The World Darts Championship contender also received some clothes as part of his Christmas celebrations, too, even though he’s now able to afford anything he likes.

Littler stormed into the last 16 with an impressive 4-1 victory over Ian White, showing a more aggressive side to his game.

The usually calm teenager displayed heightened emotions during the match, particularly when celebrating his fourth set win.

“I am not a nice person at times on the board. I dont think anyone is,” Littler said after the match.

“Its good for myself to show that I can be ruthless,” he added.

The match proved challenging, with both players matching each other’s intensity. “If I hit a 180, he would hit back with one, too,” Littler explained.

“I had to stay switched on. I didnt have nerves.”

Littler’s emotional journey in the tournament has been evident throughout, with tears flowing after his victory over Ryan Meikle in his opening match.

The young star needed comforting from his parents near the stage following that emotional interview with Sky Sports.

However, Littler showed his lighter side after Saturday’s victory over White, playfully mocking his previous emotional moment.

In footage captured by The Sun, he was seen approaching his mother while pretending to wipe tears from his eyes, before breaking into a cheeky smile and embracing her.

Littler faces Joyce tonight in his Round of 16 clash at Alexandra Palace, with his path to glory starting to open up in the wake of Luke Humphries’ shock exit.

The teenager acknowledges he needs to improve his finishing, after a 35 percent success rate on doubles against White.

“I watched Ryan Joyces game. He was very good,” Littler said. “I know I have got to hit those doubles, 35 per cent tonight wont get me anywhere.”

Victory would secure Littler another quarter-final appearance at the tournament.

The winner will face either Ricardo Pietreczko or Nathan Aspinall in the last eight.

Joyce enters the match having defeated Darius Labanauskas, Danny Noppert and Ryan Searle in previous rounds.
