ALBERT Square is transformed into a winter wonderland – as filming for EastEnders’ Christmas episode gets underway.
Birds eye drone shots showed the set covered in a light dusting of snow on Friday, with two festive nutcrackers standing guard outside the Queen Vic’s double doors.

Neatly wrapped boxes had been stacked beneath a Christmas tree in Albert Square.
It comes as fans speculate over what kind of chaos Christmas Day could bring for the soap’s characters.
Some fear it could be the end for soap legend Phil Mitchell, played by Steve McFadden, while others believe villain Nish Panesar will be killed off.
Over the years, many EastEnders characters have had their lives turned upside down at Christmas.
From the revelation of Max (Jake Wood) and Stacey’s (Lacey Turner) affair to more recently with The Six, viewers know they need to be on high alert.
In tense scenes last year, Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) killed Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters), while protecting her best friend Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).
They covered up what happened with the help of four other women, later framing rapist Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo).
In recent scenes, Linda confessed her involvement to the police.
This year, a major storyline in the build-up to Christmas surrounds Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy).
Desperate for a child with partner Reiss (Jonny Freeman), Sonia turned to IVF after struggling to conceive.
However, amid financial woes, Reiss began stealing money from his comatose wife Debbie (Jenny Meier) to fund the treatment.
After first experiencing a blighted ovum, Sonia later fell pregnant.
Meanwhile, shocking scenes saw the seemingly mild-mannered Reiss smother Debbie to death, eliminating her care costs, but it didn’t end there.
He and Sonia were both arrested for Debbie’s murder during their engagement party and taken away in front of their family and friends.
However, Reiss was shown to have been cleared during the investigation, leading to his release.
With Sonia pregnant and in prison for a murder she didn’t commit, what will the festive season hold for her?
In the build-up to next year’s 40th anniversary – including a live episode – bosses have also brought back several past characters.
Jane Beale (Laurie Metcalfe) and Chrissie Watts (Tracy Ann Oberman) made recent return appearances.
Others, such as Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer), David Wicks (Michael French) and Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) are also on their way back to Walford.

Strictly Come Dancing viewers were left confused and creeped out by a “cringe” group dance performed by the show’s professionals for Movie Week.
During the Saturday (5 October) night episode, the stars showcased a series of performances in the theme of classic movies, including Harry Potter and The Little Mermaid.
The opening skit is part of the programme’s traditional format, but this week the dancers painted their faces yellow and dressed up as Minions for a Despicable Me-themed performance.
Fan favourite Kai Widdrington, who was left without a partner this year, appeared as the film’s villain, Gru, donning a bald head and a prosthetic nose.
However, the light-hearted dance fell flat as viewers begged the performers to “just get on with it”.
“This is the worst thing I’ve ever seen in my life,” wrote one person while another was left speechless, writing: “I can’t caption this. There are literally no words for what I have just seen. Nothing.”
“Just get on with the show please…” begged one viewer, as another seconded: “Just get on with it. The show is long enough as it is without all this ham dram crap.”
Others were left bored and unimpressed, complaining that “that’s two minutes of my life I’ll never get back”.
Some pleaded for the show to get rid of the opening skits altogether: “God please make this awful Strictly pre-titles nonsense stop!!”

But the performances were not without its defenders as one person wrote: “They always have to start movie week with a cringe cheesy VT lol. It’s basically a tradition at this point.”
Another added: “That was enjoyable and to all the adults moaning. Let’s not forget it’s a family show, meaning kids watch too! So shut your pie holes and enjoy it. Now Im gonna let my Footloose!”
One viewer found the people complaining to be the problem: “Anyone hating on that group dance is boring.”

ONE of the Love Island 2024 stars has sparked feud rumours as one Islander wasn’t invited to their girls’ night.
Harriett Blackmore, 24, definitely pulled out all the stops tonight as she hosted an evening for some of her former co-stars at her home.

Newly single Harriett, who was dumped from the villa on day 26, even bought some personalised silk PJs for her guests.
Sharing a snap of them on her Instagram story, it showed that outfits for Samantha Kenny, Uma Jamma and Matilda Drapper.
A number of her co-stars appeared to have not been invited – including Nicole Samuel – who has been down south for the past few days.
The Welsh beauty attended Thorpe Park’s VIP launch for this year’s Fright Nights on Thursday, as well as Tulley’s Shocktober Fest event last night.
Instead, Nicole is enjoying a night out with her man.
Sharing a loved-up video of the pair out together, Nicole confessed: “Back to rugby club nights with my boy.”
Meanwhile Samantha – who was the first to leave the villa – shared a cute picture of her with the host on her story.
The make-up artist was all smiles as she held a glass of fizz in her hand, while the dancer gave a pout to the camera.
Samantha wrote: “Girly pj night.”
Harriett and Nicole’s man Ciaran haven’t seen eye to eye in the past.
At the start of this year’s series, Harriett and Nicole both had their eyes on the Welsh rugby hunk.
However Ciaran decided that he had more of a connection with Nicole and Harriett broke down in tears when he took her to the hide away.
The Welsh couple actually ended up making it all the way to the final and placing second.
That meant that she put all her interest into Ronnie Vint, but he decided to pursue other girls – including Jess White and Tiffany Leighton.

The 11th series of popular ITV2 dating show Love Island created plenty of new couples – but not all of them have managed to go the distance.

During a game of Never Have I Ever, things got very tense between Harriett and Ciaran.
He called her out for being ‘two-faced’ behind his back.
In front of the islanders, he said: “People will make comments and then straight after be all nice to me and say, for instance ‘ah you need to be careful with him’ but then ‘ah you’re actually really good Ciaran with her, you treat her so well’.”
He added: “Cut the bull**** that’s Harriett.”

Harriett got up and stormed off in tears because of his comments.
Later on the feud boiled over in a sweary rant between Harriett, Nicole and Jess.
Taking her make up off for bed, she shouted: “Why are you embarrassing me like that? I’m actually livid. I can’t believe you just did that.
“Also, where’s Nicole right now? Genuinely, because if that was my boyfriend I would be livid,” she demanded.
“Jess and Nicole can fuck off. They haven’t said one word to me,” Harriett spat.
“Honestly not my friends, see you later,” she continued.
Harriett left the villa on day 26 alongside Ronnie.
The pair split up just weeks after the show.

I got a 55inch TCL for my bedroom for less than 300$ new. (hooked up to my PC with a splitter as well). Had it about 4 years now, never had an issue. Have a Samsung speaker bar and woofer plugged into the optical port. The game mode works great, the settings are simple and do everything I need. 👍

I snagged an 83” LG G3 open box for $1599 from Best Buy. I have total tech so it’s covered under their extended warranty. It didn’t include the wall mount but they had it on a stand already – oh and it didn’t include a remote. $30 for a new magic remote and I’ve never been happier as I was ready to buy a 77” B3 that day.

See, I can fit a much bigger TV in the addition on the same table currently used for a 75" Samsung IF it would come with a center stand like a monitor rather than legs at either end.

From a lower end model that also has 4k, hdr and google tv: the smoothing turns on on its own every now and then, and streaming to it with an app like steam or moonlight introduces some sort of rhythmic stutter every ~2 seconds which makes it unusable on it's own despite the low latency.
Also it has a gaming hdmi mode that exclusively works with modern consoles (so no pc), I'm sure it's some spec drm bs but it's still annoying that I can't even test it.
For anyone who's looking at one of these cheap TCL. Also it adds ads on other streaming apps and I'm pretty sure it has spyware similar to chinese android tv boxes.

I love how people have convinced themselves that these microscopic picture differences are worth paying multiples more for more "advanced" display tech. At the end of the day theres very little difference.

Stick with Sony or Samsung for large screens. I have an 85 inch Sony x90 and it’s fantastic. I did a lot of research on these and they are cheap for a reason. If it goes bad, it’s not something you can remove easily. You should be looking for 7-10 years of use out of a big screen like this. You’ll be lucky to get 2 years without dead pixels, or other failures.
