Britons have been warned of a product listed on Amazon which poses “a serious risk of suffocation” to children under the age of three.
The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) shared a warning today to the public on the dangers of the product.
The product did not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
The import of the product was rejected at the border.

Product Description: A set of white, inflatable bed rail bumpers for a toddler’s bedsides.
The OPSS said: “This product presents a serious risk of suffocation due to the possibility of entrapment between the product and cot side/cot mattress.
“There is also the possibility of strangulation from the attachment straps or the child burrowing between the product and mattress.
“If a child under three is placed on their bed in between the product and were to move their face up against the inflatable product or gets trapped between the two, they will no longer be able to move or breathe, causing them to suffocate.”
The Local Authority Trading Standards notified the product recall.
