Shock moment Big Brother's Emma says she wants fellow housemate 'bound and gagged' in diary room rant

BIG Brother housemate Emma Morgan admitted she wanted her co-star to be “bound and gagged” on night one in a shock outburst.

The eldest housemate on the ITV2 reality TV series was left slamming enthusiastic co-star Lily, 20, in a furious rant about her over-energetic behaviour.

During the course of the episode, Lily could be seen making a series of noises as well as blurting out a pitchy version of Lady Gaga hit Bad Romance at the top of her lungs despite it being the early hours of the morning.

With fellow housemate Sarah having already described her as a “sensory overload”, it did not take long until Emma was having her say about Lily in a shock Diary Room rant.

She said about Lily: “Lily is very lively and I think we are all a bit tired.

I can see a few people thinking that she should just quieten down things a bit”.

“I do wish that she would fall asleep.

“When I was 20, I had a lot of energy but not quite at Lily’s level.”

In another shocking moment, she then revealed she wished she could have Lily “bound and gagged” in order to stop her from speaking.

She said: “I’d like her to be gagged and bound and put in a box for a few hours.

“I have got a feeling that even Lily is going to burn out at some stage.”

Predicting that her feelings could soon spiral into a row one viewer said: “I can’t wait for the day Emma says that to Lily’s face when she finally snaps.”

Another added: “Emma wanting Lily to stfu im dead.”

A third then wrote: “Gagged, bound and in a box is a CRAZY thing to say Emma.”

Before a fourth penned: “Emma wanting Lily to be ‘gagged, bound and put in a box… bless her’ is so iconic.”

Earlier in the episode, it was Lily herself that was left having an angry rant about another housemate – this time Sarah.

20-year-old Chinese Takeaway worker Lily was left seething about her co-star during a Diary Room rant within minutes of meeting her.

The Warrington native admitted she did not like co-star Sarah upon first impressions.

In a brutal moment, she mocked Sarah and her accent in her first visit to the Diary Room.

Lily said: “First of all, I’m sorry I don’t like Sarah.

“She is just like, ‘hi, I’m Sarah’, sorry, I know that’s offensive!”

Star Wars: The Acolyte cast member calls out Disney for lack of support over ‘racist’ abuse

Star Wars: The Acolyte cast member calls out Disney for lack of support over ‘racist’ abuse

Jodie Turner-Smith has hit out at Disney for failing to protect Acolyte co-star Amandla Stenberg stars from Star Wars trolls.

The British actor played Mother Aniseya in The Acolyte, a spin-off show that was cancelled after being review bombed by viewers who sent “vitriolic” messages to its lead star Amandla Stenberg.

Stenberg has been vocal about their experience, revealing that they received “hyper-conservative bigotry and vitriol, prejudiced hatred and hateful language” after being cast in the show. They said the remarks “really affected me when I first got the job”.

In a new interview with Glamour, Turner-Smith called out Disney for staying silent on the abuse Stenberg was subjected to, stating: “They’ve got to stop doing this thing where they don’t say anything when people are getting f***ing dog-piled on the internet with racism and bulls***. It’s just not fair to not say anything. It’s really unfair.”

She jumped to the defence of her co-star, adding: “She put so much care and thought and love into that, and it’s disappointing to feel like your studio is not having your back in a very public-facing way.”

Turner-smith said studios “that have all the money”, like Disney, should say “this is unacceptable” or “you’re not a fan if you do this” as “they might find that it’s actually more lucrative for them”.

She continued: “Make a really big statement and just see if any money leaves. I bet you it won’t, because people of colour, and especially Black people, make up a very large percentage of buying power. They might find that it’s actually more lucrative for them, but everyone’s using ‘woke’ like it’s a dirty word.”

The Independent has contacted Disney for comment.

This isn’t the first time a non-white actor working on a Star Wars project has found themselves at the centre of racist abuse – John Boyega, who played Finn in the rebooted film trilogy (2015-19), has been open about the racism he faced while starring in the franchise while Kelly Marie Tran, his co-star in 2017’s The Last Jedi, was forced to step away from limelight after receiving a flurry of racist and sexist remarks.

Meanwhile, Moses Ingram had a similar expreience while starring in 2022 spin-off series Obi-Wan Kenobi, with the actor telling The Independent that Lucasfilm executives warned her that she would likely face harassment online from racist Star Wars trolls as a Black woman entering the franchise.

After Ingram’s co-star Ewan McGregor spoke out in support of the actor, Disney shared a statement reading: “We are proud to welcome Moses Ingram to the Star Wars family and excited for Reva’s story to unfold. If anyone intends to make her feel in any way unwelcome, we have only one thing to say: we resist,” the tweet read.

The statement continued: “There are more than 20 million sentient species in the Star Wars galaxy, don’t choose to be a racist.”

“I intend to find out by devouring the lot of it and seeing what I can remember afterwards.”

Sandi Toksvig gives blunt response when asked if she remained friends with Bake Off co-star

Sandi Toksvig gives blunt response when asked if she remained friends with Bake Off co-star

Former Great British Bake-Off presenter Sandi Toksvig has reflected negatively on her time on the hit show, as she revealed she doesn’t stay in touch with her co-host Noel Fielding.

The 66-year-old quit the series in 2020, having presented it for three years and despite receiving “the biggest paycheque of my life”.

In an honest new interview with The Times, Toksvig explained that she did not enjoy her time on the show and doesn’t stay in touch with her co-presenters.

When asked about Bake Off judge Paul Hollywood, she said: “He’s so busy. He drives cars so fast it’s impossible to catch him”. When asked if she was in touch with Might Boosh star Fielding, she said simply: “No.”

She gave a warmer response about judge Prue Leith, saying: “Prue and I are joined at the hip.”

Toksvig, who is also known for hosting QI, described being on Bake Off as “three of the longest years of my life”, adding that she did not understand the point of the show and had never watched it prior to joining.

“It’s not for me. I walked away from the biggest paycheque of my life, but that’s fine. I’d never watched it. I still haven’t watched it. I didn’t understand it.”

Going even further, she said: “Cakes are readily available in the shops. I didn’t enjoy the process. You stand at the end of a long table for hours when Prue and Paul taste everything and we literally didn’t speak or taste anything.

“I used to say, ‘Can we not sit down? I’m not contributing,’ but no.”

She didn’t enjoy tasting the food after filming either, remarking: “Not really. My thing is cheese.”

Pointless presenter and author Richard Osman hit out at Toksvig as he commented on a post about the article, saying: “I honestly don’t think you should present shows you wouldn’t watch.”

Viewers were unnerved by the revelations, as one person wrote: “I loved Sandi on the show, this has tainted it for me.”

“Why take the gig hosting a show you clearly hate?” said another, agreeing with Osman.

However, others defended the comedian as they said, “She is 66 and can happily play the grumpy old lady character that likes a sit-down now.”
