Blade server installation in record time
Matti starts his record-breaking attempt by throwing in a few power supplies in the bottom, and continues with the mandatory 8 blade servers, making this HP blade chassis half full.
Do not try this at home – this installation method is not strictly within documented acceleration or vibration limits, and should only be used by professional stunt engineers!
A couple of the blades might be where aprs.fi will be living in the near future. 8 CPU cores and 32 GB RAM on each. One of the current servers is blinking happily right above the chassis. A Sun Ultra Enterprise 4500 was just removed from the space which is now filled by the HP. .

When the backplane eventually fails, you'll know why. Once or twice at this blazing speed is tolerable, however, I'm sure that the HP design team did not plan for "speed" when swapping components or blades.

make sure to check the wafers on those blades and connections on the PSUs before slamming items into the chassis.
