Man found dead in the middle of Melbourne road | 9 News Australia

A 28-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run this morning shortly after he discharged himself from hospital in Melbourne’s north-east.

Major Collision Unit Detective Sergeant Luke Miller said the man was walking and then appeared to lie down on Manchester Road in Mooroolbark about 1.55am today when he was hit by a small white SUV.

The car did not stop and left the scene in a southerly direction.
