Andrew Tate will take on Chase DeMoor next weekend as the headline act of the Misfits Mania card in Dubai – but the undercard has undergone a transformation

Dillon Danis has pulled out of his fight on the undercard of Andrew Tate’s boxing debut.

Danis was scheduled to defend his Misfits MMA light-heavyweight title against Anthony Taylor next weekend but has been forced out after suffering an injury in an altercation at UFC 322 last month. Danis and his entourage were involved in a brawl with teammates of Islam Makhachev who became the UFC welterweight champion on the night in New York.

Danis has been banned from all UFC events and could still face legal action from the state. But he claims to have been injured in the altercation and will not feature on the same card as Tate’s boxing debut against Chase DeMoor in Dubai on December 20.

A statement from Misfits read: “Unfortunately, Dillon Danis will not be competing at ‘The Fight Before Christmas‘ event in Dubai on December 20, 2025. Independent physicians have determined that he is not medically cleared to compete at this time due to the melee that occurred at Madison Square Garden last month.

“We want to be very direct: this call is being made solely by medical professionals. Dillon pushed for every possible path to remain on the card, but the doctors were not willing to clear him to compete this month. Misfits Boxing takes athlete health extremely seriously, and we fully expect him back in the Misfits ring in 2026 to defend his Misfits MMA title.”

The fight card suffered another blow when Slim Albaher pulled out of his fight with Neeraj Goyat, citing an injury. He said on social media: “Over the last few weeks, I’ve been pushing through an injury in my right hand while preparing for my fight on December 20th in Dubai. I was extremely excited to make my return to the ring and put on a statement performance, so I kept training and tried to fight through it.

“But the truth is, every session made my hand worse. I reached a point where continuing would risk long-term damage, and after speaking with my coaches and getting medical advice, I have to make the difficult decision to withdraw from the fight. This wasn’t easy at all I’ve been locked in and ready but protecting my health has to come first so I can come back stronger and give the fans the performances they deserve. Thank you to everyone who’s been supporting me. I’ll share more updates soon.”
