Frank on Champions League, injury news
Thomas Frank says he is keen for Tottenham to find form ahead of their Champions League match at home to Slavia Prague on Tuesday.
Spurs beat Brentford 2-0 on Saturday, winning a Premier League game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the first time since defeating Burnley on the opening weekend.
But Frank has no time to reflect on a positive day against his old side, instead turning his attention to Europe.
Tottenham vs Slavia ‘good opportunity’
“It’s always good to build momentum, to get more consistent performances,” said Frank. “We will try to build on that.
“We have a good opportunity against a Slavia Prague side who are very direct and physical, man-marking all over the pitch.
“That can particularly make it difficult for us. It is about us making sure we perform well, with forwardness and directness in attacking play.”
Frank’s good mood was slightly tainted by a negative injury update including a hamstring injury that will keep Italy wideman Destiny Udogie out until January.
The Dane described forward Brennan Johnson’s condition as “touch and go”. “There will be a bit of rotation to make sure everyone is full of energy and freshness,” he added.

Mohammed Kudus: Spurs ‘demand a lot’
Mohammed Kudus, who has impressed since joining Tottenham for £55 million in July, was asked how he felt about teammates Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero’s furious reaction to a potentially costly error the winger made against the Bees.
“It’s very important to be honest with each other and demand a lot from each other,” said Kudus. “It was a moment in the game when emotions were everywhere.
“They definitely demand a lot from not just me, but the whole team. It’s part of the game. I just get on with it.”
World Cup 2026 draw: Ghana vs England
Kudus’s Ghana were drawn in a group with England in the 2026 World Cup draw on Friday. “To qualify for the World Cup alone is a big statement from us and shows what we can do,” said the 25-year-old.
“There’s still a bit of time to go, so we just focus here for now, and then we will definitely prepare for that.
“But it’s good to have England in the group. It’ll be interesting. I’m looking forward to it. We are pretty much aware of the side we will be facing. We will definitely be up for it and ready.”
