Athletic will be without Aitor Paredes due to suspension, having received his third yellow card in the previous Champions League game against Slavia Prague.
Yeray Alvarez is serving a long-term suspension for a doping violation. Injuries to Robert Navarro, Benat Prados, Unai Egiluz, Maroan Sannadi, and Inaki Williams leave the squad stretched, while Aymeric Laporte is also sidelined following the Atletico Madrid match.
