The best Christmas hampers, from Fortnum and Mason to John Lewis
We tested dozens of hampers at the Telegraph office, judging each one on five metrics. First, the number of products and how they compare to the overall cost of the hamper.
Second, the variety of products and whether there was there a good mix of sweet and savoury treats and drinks. We also considered what, if any, the non-food items added to the hamper.
We assessed the hampers on presentation and sustainability, too. Delight was another factor: will the recipient be wowed upon opening it? Finally came reusability, which is a significant part of the charm of hampers.
Why you can trust Telegraph Recommended
No brand or retailer ever sees Telegraph Recommended articles before publication and we don’t accept payment in exchange for favourable reviews, nor do we allow brands to pay for placement in our articles.
Our team of in-house consumer journalists curate our gift guides, recommending brands and products that have previously been tested or approved by the Recommended team.
We also ask our readers to give feedback on their favourite gifts via surveys, which may also be included. Visit our Who We Are page to learn more.
