Three teenagers have been charged with murder after a 17-year-old boy was fatally stabbed in Bedford.

Thomas Taylor was attacked shortly before 6pm on Wednesday as he walked along Greenhill Street, near a bus station in the town centre.

Thomas, a student at Bedford Academy, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital, but he died a short time later.

Ahmed Adam, 18, of Kempston, and two other males aged 16 and 17, who cannot be named for legal reasons were charged with murder on Saturday, Bedfordshire Police said.

The trio have been remanded into custody and will appear at Luton Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
