Meraas, part of Dubai Holding Real Estate, has awarded an AED340 million contract to Al Sahel Contracting for the development of Riwa, a new residential complex within Madinat Jumeirah Living. The project will add 244 premium apartments to one of Dubai’s most sought-after neighbourhoods, with completion scheduled for the third quarter of 2027.

Riwa will consist of three residential buildings of ten storeys, offering a mix of one- to three-bedroom units alongside a four-bedroom penthouse. The award marks the latest chapter in the established partnership between Meraas and Al Sahel Contracting. The contractor is close to completing the fifth phase of Madinat Jumeirah Living, having already delivered four earlier phases within the master community.

Designed to complement the modern heritage aesthetic of Madinat Jumeirah Living, Riwa will feature contemporary facades and interiors described by Meraas as refined, light-filled and spacious. The developer says the apartments have been planned with elevated finishes and layouts that reflect its approach to sophisticated urban living.

Khalid Al Malik, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Holding Real Estate, said, “Riwa represents the latest chapter in the evolution of Madinat Jumeirah Living, one of Dubai’s most desirable addresses. It encapsulates the city’s ambition to create extraordinary homes that bring together design excellence, comfort and community spirit. This milestone highlights our commitment to shaping neighbourhoods that inspire pride and belonging.”

Moustafa Ali Moustafa Hasan, General Manager of Al Sahel Contracting, said, “Being entrusted with the construction of Riwa marks another proud moment in our enduring partnership with Meraas. This contract reaffirms the confidence placed in Al Sahel to deliver world-class developments that embody Dubai’s architectural and lifestyle vision.”

Madinat Jumeirah Living has continued to attract buyers seeking proximity to prominent landmarks including the Burj Al Arab and wider Jumeirah district. The launch of Riwa comes amid sustained demand for premium apartments across central Dubai locations, supported by population growth, long-term residency programmes and steady investor appetite for branded and community-led developments.

The new complex forms part of Meraas’ broader development pipeline as the company advances residential, leisure and mixed-use projects across the city.
