Liverpool might have dropped points against Nottingham Forest but remain in control of the Premier League title race after a 1-1 draw at the City Ground on Tuesday night.
Forest went a goal up through talismanic striker Chris Wood – his 13th in the Premier League this season – to send the home crowd into a frenzy in the first half.
But the visitors struck back through Diogo Jota – who scored 22 seconds after coming on as a substitute after the break.
The Portugal international ran on for a corner and somehow found himself out-jumping the towering Wood to equalise for the Reds that saw the spoils shared.

Despite losing points, Liverpool remain top of the Premier League by six points with Forest the closest side to them in second.
Before kick-off, Reds manager Arne Slot revealed that he saw Forest as genuine title contenders.
Indeed, Nuno Espirito Santo’s men are the only side to claim victory over Liverpool in the Premier League – landing a 1-0 win over them at Anfield in September due to a Callum Hudson-Odoi belter.
However, there was no winner on Tuesday night despite Liverpool’s late push.
Mohamed Salah executed a fine volley after the ball rebounded to him from a corner but Ola Aina was in the right place at the right time to deflect it off the line.

Cody Gakpo’s accurate drive from outside the box drew an incredible save from Mats Sels, who saw the strike late before pulling out an outstretched arm.
Despite Forest missing the chance to close the gap to three points, this was an almighty result for them as they look to consolidate a spot in the top four.
With Chelsea and Manchester City both drawing their games 2-2 against Bournemouth and Brentford respectively, it only solidified their confidence of a Champions League place next season.

That feeling was felt around the City Ground, where the fans did not stop singing – providing a top atmosphere reminiscent of the 1970s, when both sides were arguably in their primes.
Liverpool remain the favourites to win the Premier League this season after a roaring start that has seen them lose just once in all competitions.
Slot only joined last summer and could match Jurgen Klopp’s total number of Premier League trophies in one year after the German stood down following seven years in charge.

But more silverware could be on the horizon with Liverpool top of the Champions League league phase after six wins out of six.
They are also in the semi-final of the Carabao Cup, though will need to fight back following a 1-0 defeat to Tottenham in the first leg.
