Wynn Al Marjan Tower Reaches Peak Height

Wynn Al Marjan Island has announced a major construction milestone, achieving structural completion for what is set to become the Middle East’s first fully integrated resort.

The development, led by Wynn Resorts in partnership with Marjan, has reached its highest structural concrete point at 283 metres across 70 floors, just 27 months after foundation works began.

Once the spire is installed in 2026, the tower will reach its full architectural height of 352 metres, making it the tallest man-made structure in Ras Al Khaimah by more than 100 metres.

The project remains on track for a Spring 2027 opening.

Construction has now transitioned from structural works into a full interior build-out. All 1,530 guest accommodations have reached structural completion with interior fit-outs underway across 1,504 rooms and suites. Facade installation on the main tower is 79 per cent complete while surrounding low-rise buildings have reached 99 per cent structural completion.

Set across more than 60 hectares, Wynn Al Marjan Island will feature 1,217 resort rooms, 297 Enclave suites, two Royal Apartments, four Garden Townhomes and 10 Marina Estates.

The resort will include 22 restaurants, lounges and bars, a beach club, a spa and beauty destination, a retail parterre, 12 pools, a 420 metre white sand beach and a deep water marina capable of accommodating superyachts.

Additional facilities will include Coral Court, a dedicated celebrations and events venue, and The Showroom, a purpose-built theatre space.

Wynn Al Marjan hits structural milestone

To mark the topping out milestone, senior executives from Wynn Resorts, Wynn Design and Development and Marjan gathered at the summit of the tower overlooking the Arabian Gulf. Attendees poured the final concrete and received commemorative steel bars taken from the structure.

Max Tappeiner, President of Wynn Al Marjan Island, said: “Reaching the tower’s highest structural point in just over two years is a defining moment for the project and a testament to the teams delivering it. Wynn Al Marjan Island is reshaping the skyline of Ras Al Khaimah and anchoring a destination designed for guests who expect the very best.”

Abdulla Al Abdouli, Group CEO of Marjan, said: “This development is the centrepiece of a new global destination taking shape in Ras Al Khaimah. This milestone brings us closer to welcoming visitors to a resort that will elevate the emirate’s hospitality offering and deliver long-term value for the tourism economy.”

Barry Lewis, CEO of ALEC Holdings, said: “The adoption of advanced building technologies has allowed us to streamline workflows and maintain precision at scale. As the project moves into its next phase, our focus remains on delivering a world-class destination.”

Key construction milestones to date include the completion of the tower’s structural concrete, full structural completion of guest accommodation, near completion of low-rise structures and more than 438,000 cubic metres of concrete poured. The project has generated more than 18,000 construction jobs so far.

In parallel, Wynn Resorts and Marjan are advancing a second joint venture on Al Marjan Island, Janu Al Marjan Island, which was announced in November 2025 and is now under construction. The project will bring Aman Group’s Janu brand to Ras Al Khaimah, with an opening planned for late 2028.
