Arsenal star William Saliba SENT OFF and after controversial VAR red card against Bournemouth as length of ban revealed
WILLIAM SALIBA saw red to spark controversy in Arsenal’s clash at Bournemouth.
The centre-back earned his first ever sending-off as VAR intervened over a professional foul.
Saliba pulled back Evanilson as the Brazil attacker attempted to burst completely clear in mid-pitch.
VAR Jared Gillett told on-pitch ref Rob Jones to the monitor.
And Jones had no doubts as he waved a red to reduce the Gunners to 10 men.
It means Saliba will be banned for only ONE game.
That’s because it was not for violent conduct, which means a three-match suspension.

‘Absolutely beautiful, the reason why I watch Sky Sports boxing’ say fans as Anna Woolhouse stuns in leopard-print dress
‘ABSOLUTELY beautiful’ Anna Woolhouse had fans amazed with her latest look.
The stunning presenter, 40, appeared on Sky Sports Boxing – hosting the Adam Azim and Ohara Davies fight card.
And she looked stunning in a stylish outfit that drew plenty of comment from fans online.
Anna wore a figure-hugging leopard print dress that showed off her long legs.
She matched the outfit with nude tights and black heels at London’s Copper Box Arena.
The blonde stunner shared her fashion choices on Instagram to her followers.
Many couldn’t help but pass comment.
One wrote: “Leopard on the prowl! Have a great night.”
A second shared: “Wow absolutely beautiful the reason why I watch skysports boxing.”
A third simply posted: “Stunning.”
A fourth added: “Sooooo pretty and classy.”
Anna was at the Copper Box Arena for Azim’s bout with Davies.
Azim passed his acid test, dropping Davies inside eight rounds in what has been described as the best performance of his career.
While Anthony Yarde defeated Ralfs Vilcans by unanimous decision in an unconvincing performance.
Anna is the face of Sky Sports Boxing, often presenting coverage alongside Johnny Nelson.
During her time on the channel, she has fronted the coverage for a number of high profile fights, including the recent Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois fight at Wembley Stadium.
Here’s a look through Anna’s glam life on social media…

PFL results: Johnny Eblen fends off late comeback from Fabian Edwards to win unanimous decision
Johnny Eblen probably didn’t have the performance he wanted but he’ll still leave Saudi Arabia as Bellator middleweight champion with a unanimous decision win over Fabian Edwards at PFL: Battle of the Giants.
A strong start with superior wrestling and grappling kept Eblen up early but Edwards managed a late comeback that nearly shifted the momentum to his favor. Unfortunately, Edwards just waited too long to get movie and Eblen had already racked up enough on the scorecards to hold onto the victory.
All three judges scored the fight 48-47 with Eblen remaining undefeated with the fourth defense of his middleweight title.
“I kind of faded a little bit,” Eblen said afterwards. “I’m pretty satisfied. I wish I could have ended it again. Fabian’s a top level guy. He’s one of the best in the world.”
Eblen wasted no time setting the pace early as he established himself in the center of the cage and continuously found a home for a stiff right hand on Edwards’ chin. While Edwards kept attempting to set up a well-timed uppercut, Eblen avoided that punch before rushing forward and looking for the takedown.
Again and again, Eblen rag dolled Edwards around the cage as the British middleweight struggled to deal with the Bellator champion’s superior wrestling and grappling. As time passed, Eblen’s ability to drag Edwards to the canvas seemed to get easier, although he wasn’t able to produce much offense with the superior position.
Still, Eblen maintained control as he kept moving Edwards around the cage and then bringing him crashing back to the ground.
When the fight did stay on the feet, Edwards finally started to connect with a few shots but he just couldn’t keep Eblen from slipping inside and pressuring him back to the cage again. Because Edwards was so wary about getting taken down again, he was typically only throwing one strike at a time and that was much easier for Eblen to avoid.
Even with Edwards in a defensive posture, Eblen still managed to find a way to consistently toss him back to the ground as time started running out on the two-time title challenger.
It wasn’t until the final frame when Edwards finally started throwing caution to the wind because he knew a finish was the only way he had a chance to win. Edwards stabbed at Eblen with a good lead jab and even threw a few slick inside elbows just trying anything to inflict some damage.
Edwards was also digging to the body with some nasty knees but he just ran out of time before he could produce a knockout to pull off the comeback win. While it certainly wasn’t the last round that Eblen wanted, he still survived the late onslaught to get the decision and retain his title.
Now 16-0 in his career, Eblen’s biggest problem moving forward might be finding worthwhile competition to keep him interested now that he already has a pair of wins over Edwards.

Cyclist Chris Hoy announces that his cancer is terminal
Six-time Olympic cycling champion Sir Chris Hoy has announced that his cancer is terminal.
In an interview with the Sunday Times, he says doctors have told him he has between two and four years to live.
The 48-year-old Scot revealed earlier this year that he had been diagnosed with cancer.
Hoy told the newspaper he has known for a year that his cancer is terminal.
Hoy won six Olympic golds between 2004 and 2012 and is the third most decorated British Olympian of all time.
He retired from cycling in 2013 and in recent years has been a regular pundit and commentator as part of BBC Sport’s cycling coverage.
He had not previously disclosed the type of cancer.
But he told the Times that he had been diagnosed with primary cancer in his prostate, which had spread to his bones – meaning it was stage four.
Tumours were discovered to his shoulder, pelvis, hip, spine and rib.
Sir Chris told the newspaper: “As unnatural as it feels, this is nature.
“You know, we were all born and we all die, and this is just part of the process.
“You remind yourself, aren’t I lucky that there is medicine I can take that will fend this off for as long as possible.”

Ryan Blaney wrecks out of Las Vegas practice in major playoff setback
Ryan Blaney, who is hoping to become the first back-to-back champion in the era of the knockout-style format, will start from the rear of the field on Sunday.
After a get-up-to-speed lap, Blaney’s first true flying lap in practice ended in the outside wall. As the No. 12 Team Penske Ford barreled off into Turn 1, the left-rear tire went down as he bounced over the bumps. The car immediately spun around and slammed the outside wall, driver-side first.
Blaney radioed that “I had no warning” after the impact. “My head hurts,” he added before climbing from the damaged car. Thankfully, he was checked and released from the infield care center soon after.
“I’m alright,” Blaney told NBC Sports. “Just blew a tire into Turn 1. Just stinks. I didn’t feel anything odd down the front stretch. Just a shame it ended our practice early and we got our work cut out for us with a backup car. Hopefully we’ll be able to fight back from it and go to work tomorrow.”
He continued: “It’s definitely a lot to overcome, for sure. Starting in the back and no laps with this backup car … I have confidence that hopefully we can make some hay tomorrow and do it early. You know, try to get up through there. So yeah, it sets us back a little bit but this team — they thrive under that type of pressure. Happy to be with a group like that. Unfortunate situation we’re in but we’ll claw our way through.
As a result of the wreck, Blaney will not take part in qualifying and will have to start Sunday’s race in 37th. As Blaney indicated, he will also go to a backup car. He officially completed one lap in practice, but at 171.652mph, it was about two seconds off the pace.
