44-year-old man from York arrested at York Christmas Market
North Yorkshire Police have shared that a local man has been remanded in custody after three police officers were assaulted at York Christmas Market.
Officers responded to the incident after receiving reports that a man was “causing disorder”.
A 44-year-old man from York has been charged with two counts of assaulting an emergency worker, one count of assaulting a police officer, and one count of criminal damage.
“He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at York Magistrates’ Court in the morning,” said a spokesperson for the force.
