Emergency crews attend crash in busy Bolton junction

The crash occurred in the middle of the Trinity Street junction, one of Bolton’s busiest routes, connecting towards the town’s shopping district and Blackhorse Street.

Three police cars attended the scene, along with an ambulance crew who carried out precautionary checks on those involved.

The passengers appeared to be well and were seen stepping out of the ambulance.

The vehicle suffered minor damage, primarily to the front-left wheel and surrounding area.

A brief police cordon was put in place, restricting traffic in several lanes of the junction leading towards the town centre. A recovery truck later removed the car while officers directed traffic to keep vehicles moving safely.

The incident caused minor delays as the damaged vehicle was blocking traffic at the centre of the junction.
