Gogglebox favourites have been showered with support after sharing a heartfelt festive message with their fans. Dave and Shirley Griffiths, who first graced our screens on the Channel 4 show in 2015, have remained a hit with audiences throughout their ten-year stint on the programme.
The couple from Wales have consistently delighted viewers with their sharp-witted commentary on the week’s television highlights. They were part of the line-up for the 26th series of Gogglebox, which recently aired on Channel 4, alongside returning fan-favourite duos such as best mates Jenny and Lee and siblings Sophie and Pete. The latest series also welcomed five new families to the show.
The newcomers include pals Jake and Calum, married duo Andrew and Alfie, mother and daughter-in-law Sara and Lara, sisters Rosie and Susie, and the Gordon family hailing from Surrey, reports the Mirror. Off-screen, Dave and Shirley shared a charming selfie amidst Christmas decorations, along with a warm holiday message for their followers.
On Wednesday evening (December 17), the pair took to Instagram to post a photo of themselves smiling brightly at the camera. Their caption read: “Hoping everyone has a great Christmas and a great new year #gogglebox #christmas.”

In November, Dave and Shirley commemorated their golden wedding anniversary, marking the milestone with a throwback photo. Dave captioned the post: “50 years on November 15 I wed the lovely Shirley. Happy anniversary darling, here’s to making more happy memories.”
