Real Reason Why Anthony Joshua Joined Oleksandr Usyk Team Revealed

Conor McGregor made a brutal comment about the upcoming boxing match between the internet sensation Jake Paul and the former two-time heavyweight ruler Anthony Joshua.

The improbable pairing headline a Most Valuable Promotions card that takes place on Friday, the 19th of December from the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. Netflix airs the event.

And though there is considerable commercial firepower set to propel this fight into a mainstream audience that transcends boxing, it has not been bereft of controversy. Not least because of the absurd physical differences between Paul, who is a reasonably big guy himself, and Joshua, who is an actual giant.

And McGregor’s latest statement on the fight is reflective of concerns the wider industry has about this imminent fight.

Joshua isn’t just bringing height, reach, and weight advantages to the ring, as he also has a wealth of experience fighting at a far higher level than Paul, who has fought half his fights against past-prime MMA fighters, and then a selection of inactive boxers. Joshua’s resume, meanwhile, speaks for itself as he has wins over Wladimir Klitschko, Joseph Parker, and Alexander Povetkin, among many, many more.

And, for McGregor, all of that is going to come to a head in Miami and change Paul’s life forever — in a negative way.

“This is an absolute layup fight,” McGregor said in a social media post.

“Jake is stupid and will be altered permanently from this bout.”

“I can’t just sit idly by and watch it happen without making a cool profit from it too,” he added, before remarking on the two bets he’s tempted to make. “I do like ‘KO in first 60seconds’ at 11/1 tho. It’s now about how much / what else? A colossal sum on an outright win is good too. $5m would return win $5.6m.”

The Paul vs Joshua bout is not the only fight on the card as MVP has other notable matches, too, including a super featherweight championship bout between Alycia Baumgardner and Leila Beaudoin, a fight between former MMA stars Anderson Silva and Tyron Woodley, and the MVP debut of Caroline Dubois, who fights Camilla Panatta in a lightweight title fight.
