Firefighters rush to blaze at popular Cambridge Christmas fair

Firefighters were called to the fire on Friday (December 19).

Firefighters were called to a fire at a popular Christmas event. Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue were called to Christmas in Cambridge at Parker’s Piece on Friday (December 19, at around 8.30pm.

Firefighters found a skip on fire. A fire spokesperson said: “A crew from Cambridge was called at around 8.30pm to a fire involving a skip on Parker’s Piece, Cambridge. Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire, before returning to their station.”

The Christmas fair has been running since November 13, and is running until December 31.
