No shade or anything, but Linux is literally full of crap
This website is dedicated to actively tracking the usage of obscenities in the Linux kernel source code over time
It’s actually capable of tracking ANY word, but front and center on the home page are these line graphs comparing kernel versions versus numbers of times a bunch of naughty words have been mentioned within comments – and “crap” has everything else beat by a mile – unless there’s another bad word we’re forgetting about, at least
It’s funny, because there used to be a running joke about how often the F word was mentioned by different developers in the code here – but they cleaned it up a few years back, only for everyone to wind up becoming a lot more dependent on the ol C word – that’s what we call crap, right?
