Manchester United duo Kobbie Mainoo and Bruno Fernandes are likely to miss their game against Newcastle United, Ruben Amorim has confirmed.
Fernandes suffered what appeared to be a hamstring injury against Aston Villa in the first half, and he failed to emerge for the second 45 minutes, substituted at half-time for Lisandro Martinez. Mainoo missed the game with a supposed calf injury, leaving United short of options in the middle of the park.

Speaking after the loss against Aston Villa, Amorim has confirmed that Fernandes has suffered a soft tissue injury, and he’s likely to lose ‘some games’.
Amorim also shared an update on another midfielder, Mainoo, after he was missing from the squad to face Aston Villa. The Man Utd manager said that Mainoo, alongside Fernandes, won’t be fit to face Newcastle in their next match.
