Shia LaBeouf has never been far from controversy, but his latest arrest in New Orleans has cast fresh light on the personal struggles behind the headlines. 

Just days after being released from jail following a drunken bar brawl, new details emerged about his crumbling marriage to Mia Goth. 

According to a source close to the couple, Goth quietly ended their relationship months ago, citing LaBeouf’s erratic behavior and constant fights as the breaking point.

When Shia LaBeouf exited the New Orleans jail wearing the same clothes from the night before, there was no bodyguard, no agent, and no sign of support. 

The 39-year-old had been arrested after a drunken bar fight that required paramedics. 

Instead of retreating quietly, he jogged two miles back toward the heart of Mardi Gras celebrations, beer in hand.

The troubling scene followed what a source describes as a much deeper personal blow. According to the insider, LaBeouf’s wife, Mia Goth, ended their tumultuous marriage five months ago. 

The source explained that the “Frankenstein” actress made the decision herself. 

“Mia broke it off with him, because his behavior was erratic and she didn’t want to deal with it any more as they were always getting into fights. It doesn’t look like they will be getting back together either,” they told the Daily Mail. 

For LaBeouf, who once said Goth “saved” his life during a 2022 rehab stint, the loss appears to have hit hard.

Those close to the couple say the split was not sudden but the result of long-standing strain. 

Mia Goth met Shia LaBeouf in 2013 on the controversial film “Nymphomaniac.” They tied the knot in Las Vegas in 2016, divorced in 2018, reconciled two years later, and welcomed daughter Isabel in March 2022.

However, the actor’s personality reportedly made stability difficult. As one source put it, “Shia is not the easiest person to be with. He is a very intense individual, very opinionated and goes to the beat of his own drum.” 

The insider explained that friends, colleagues and lovers all seem to have trouble handling him and being around him for a long time.

At the same time, that intensity appears to be part of what draws people in. 

“But that is also a reason they are attracted, or want to be in his presence, because he is a very interesting guy – a one of one, very intellectual. He is somebody people gravitate to, so it is a bit of a Catch-22,” they added.

For Goth, however, motherhood seems to have shifted her priorities. 

In October, she reflected, noting that she didn’t have time for “bullsh*t” like she did in the past, which she revealed “helped a lot.”

LaBeouf’s struggles did not begin with fame. Born in Los Angeles, he rose to prominence at 13 on Disney’s “Even Stevens,” but his childhood was marked by instability. 

His father, Jeff, a Vietnam veteran, struggled with addiction and once served prison time. His mother Shayna separated from Jeff when LaBeouf was three.

The “Transformers” star has said much of his turmoil stems from childhood PTSD. At nine, while living with his mother in Tujunga, he overheard her being raped next door, a trauma that has haunted him.

His adult life has included multiple arrests, public intoxication incidents, and racist rants. He famously clashed with Alec Baldwin during a Broadway production after allegedly harassing him in rehearsals. 

Also, in 2020, former girlfriend FKA Twigs filed a lawsuit accusing him of abuse, though LaBeouf denied the claims and a settlement was reached.

Shia LaBeouf’s father has long voiced concern. After his altercation with Baldwin, Jeff moved to Costa Rica. 

In 2019, he reflected, “Every parent worries when their children are doing bad.” 

He acknowledged recognizing the pattern, noting that when LaBeouf began getting into trouble, he hoped and prayed it would end. Unfortunately, things got worse. 

Jeff revealed how frightening his son’s behavior had become. He said, “A week before that, he scared the f-ck out of me. I told him, ‘Please leave. Don’t hurt me.’”

Eventually, Jeff admitted he felt powerless. “You know, it’s out of my hands. It’s more than I have the knowledge or the capacity to fix. Please, God — if there is a God, and I believe there is — do whatever you do to help him,” he shared.

“The Blind Side” actor Quinton Aaron has shared an update on his health and recovery weeks after he was rushed to the hospital for a medical emergency in January.

Amid his health battle, his “wife” was served with a restraining order, and Aaron reassured fans that he would provide more clarity about the situation when he fully recovers.

After suffering from a spinal stroke in late January, Aaron is sharing a photo from the hospital where he is still recovering. In the picture, the actor is seen with tubes over his mouth, posing alongside his brother, Jarred, with whom he has grown even closer amid his health crisis.

Reports note that the 41-year-old has been communicating with his relatives via text messaging and FaceTime. His family shared that he is “awake, fully alert, interacting with his family and approved visitors.” Moreover, Aaron has regained “feeling in his legs,” a hopeful sign that his recovery is going well.

In a statement to People, Aaron said, “I went through a lot, but I’m focusing on God, my recovery, my family and close friends as well as my career.”

In late January, Aaron was rushed to the hospital after an incident at his home. He was walking up the stairs when his legs suddenly stopped working, causing him to take a tumble.

Initial reports stated that the actor was on life support and had a blood infection. After a few days in the hospital, it was determined that he had suffered a spinal stroke, a condition wherein blood doesn’t flow to the spinal cord due to blood clots.

As previously reported by The Blast, Aaron’s wife, Margarita, was beside him throughout the ordeal and consistently shared updates about his health. “He’s a fighter. He’s a very strong fighter,” she said.

In the middle of the actor’s recovery, his family shared that they had concerns about Margarita, specifically about the legitimacy of her relationship with Aaron.

According to The Blast, the family found out that Margarita was still married to another man, information that was confirmed by her daughter and niece. “We have found some alarming details. We, as a family, believe Margarita isn’t who she claimed to be to us. This has caused us to want to investigate her further,” Aaron’s family said.

Margarita and Aaron met online and married in 2024. In a statement to TMZ, Margarita said she and the actor “got spiritually married.”

At that time, Jarred said they wanted to wait for Aaron to recover before telling him about their concerns over Margarita.

On February 18, TMZ reported that Jarred filed a temporary restraining order against his brother’s “wife.” Based on the documents that were obtained, her legal name is Margaret DeLeon.

The petition was granted, and Margarita is ordered to keep her distance from Jarred and Aaron’s family members, and most likely Aaron himself.

Margarita said that Jarred is retaliating against her, adding, “I haven’t done wrong to Quinton. Quinton would not want this and Jarred is being selfish.”

Global music star Bad Bunny is expanding his career beyond music, landing his first leading role in a feature film set in his homeland, Puerto Rico.

The project places Bad Bunny alongside an ensemble of established actors, signaling a new chapter for the performer and widening his influence in the entertainment industry.

On February 18, Deadline announced the cast for the upcoming film “Porto Rico,” the directorial debut of Grammy-winning Puerto Rican rapper René Pérez Joglar, more famously known as Residente.

According to the report, the historical drama will feature Bad Bunny, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, in the lead role. Joining him are Hollywood heavyweights, including Edward Norton, Javier Bardem, and Viggo Mortensen.

Residente and Bad Bunny are linked by their fierce commitment to their country, their people, and the causes they champion, and the former has always wanted to make a movie about his country.

“I have dreamed of making a film about my country since I was a child. Puerto Rico’s true history has always been surrounded by controversy. This film is a reaffirmation of who we are — told with the intensity and honesty that our history deserves,” Residente shared.

Although there aren’t many details shared about the movie as yet, Residente spoke about co-writing the script with “Birdman” screenwriter Alexander Dinelaris back in 2023.

Apart from selecting Dinelaris for his writing talent, Residente shares a personal connection with him, as both of their grandmothers were born in Puerto Rico. “I was looking for someone who not only is talented but also connects with the subject matter. I found both in Alex,” Residente said.

“Porto Rico” will focus on the life of José Maldonado Román aka Águila Blanca, a Puerto Rican revolutionary, who led ex-convicts in a fight against colonialism.

Dinelaris said that this is their chance to share a part of Puerto Rico’s history that not many around the world know about. “It’s a story about the spectacular courage and resilience of someone unwilling to bend the knee at any price.”

Norton also talked about the film, saying, “Everybody knows what a poet of language and rhythm René is. Now they’re going to see what a visual visionary he is as well. And bringing him and Bad Bunny together to tell the true story of Puerto Rico’s roots is going to be like a flame finding the stick of dynamite that’s been waiting for it.”

Bad Bunny isn’t new to acting. He has appeared in movies, such as “Bullet Train,” “Cassandro,” “Caught Stealing,” and “Happy Gilmore 2,” as well as TV shows, including “Narcos: Mexico” and a guest appearance on “SNL.”

In an interview with Rolling Stone in January 2025, Bad Bunny shared his excitement over acting in different films, describing the experience as “bad-ss.”

When asked whether he would be open to being a full-time actor, he replied, “I’d do it. I’m always going to make music, but I’d spend some time just making films and dedicating myself to acting.”

Bad Bunny has made it big in the music industry, but he revealed that he had always loved acting since he was a child. When his mother learned that he would be starring in movies, she was thrilled for her son.

Mia Goth is reportedly “concerned” for her estranged husband, Shia LaBeouf, following his recent run-in with the law.

It comes amid reports that Shia LaBeouf uprooted his life from L.A. in hopes of a fresh start in New Orleans following a quiet split from Mia Goth.

However, there appears to be no animosity between them as they continue to co-parent their daughter, Isabel.

Following LaBeouf’s recent trouble with the law, where he was arrested, sources close to the “MaXXXine” actress told TMZ that she remains deeply “concerned” for the father of her child, even though she has since gotten over him.

They seem to have maintained a cordial relationship amid their marriage problems, with sources noting that they sometimes talk when he wants to connect with their daughter.

The estranged couple first got together in 2012 on the set of “Nymphomaniac: Vol. II,” after which they started dating on-and-off until they tied the knot in 2016. However, their marriage reportedly got strained in 2018, which led to a temporary split.

He reportedly made the decision with family in mind, as he’s very close to his dad, Jeffrey, who lives in the area. LaBeouf has been living alone in the area and seems to be relishing his time in the Big Easy, telling people he came there to “reset and refocus.”

Reports suggest he has been telling people he’s sober and plans to focus on keeping things straight.

Locals in the area also know him for his black and gray Ram truck, as he frequently cruises around town in the big automobile.

News about his marriage troubles comes amid LaBeouf’s recent run-in with the law that saw him arrested and charged on two counts of simple battery and a misdemeanor.

According to the New Orleans Police Department, LaBeouf was taken into custody around 12:45 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, as officers were called to a business on Royal Street due to claims of “a simple battery where two victims (two adult males) reported being assaulted.”

“Investigators say a man identified as 39-year-old Shia LaBeouf was reportedly causing a disturbance and becoming increasingly aggressive at a Royal Street business,” the police report claimed.

It continued, “A staff member attempted to eject Mr. LaBeouf from the establishment. Once removed from the building, the victim reported being struck by LaBeouf, who used his closed fists on the victim several times.”

The police statement also noted that “the victims reported that LaBeouf left, but then came back, acting even more aggressively,” as several people attempted to pacify him.

Cops said, “Multiple people attempted to hold him down — he was eventually let up in hopes that he would leave — but he reportedly again struck the same victim with closed fists to the victim’s upper body. LaBeouf then reportedly assaulted another person, punching him in the nose.”

A viral video containing the altercation LaBeouf was involved in has since hit the internet, in which he can be seen getting beaten up by a man amid attempts to restrain him.
