ITV I'm A Celebrity makes major change to trials rules

It’s reported that a new rule change will stop celebrities from doing more than two Buchtucker trials in a row.

The change follows years of fans complaining that it is often one celebrity chosen by the public to take on the trials.

Previously, Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullogh was voted to do seven Bushtucker Trials in a row.

Now, the new rule will allow all the celebrities to take on the trials, according to The Mirror.

I’m A Celebrity to make major rule change to trial voting

Discussing the rule change, a source told The Mirror: “Celebrities all want the opportunity to take on a Bushtucker Trial and bring home stars for camp.

“Viewers would much prefer to see different celebrities take on the iconic Bushtucker Trials as opposed to the same person every day.”

Adding: “This is a great move for fans of the show so we don’t see the same faces doing the trials, as well as uncovering new favourites.

“Plus it’s a win-win for the celebs too, who are keen for more chances to get their personalities across.”

The change comes after I’m A Celebrity bosses took on feedback from previous stars of the ITV show.

Over the years, the series has often seen the same celebrity be voted to take on the trials repeatedly.

In 2016, actor Adam Thomas completed 12 trials, in 2019 EastEnders star Jacqueline Jossa did 10 and in 2012 Helen Flanagan was voted for seven.
