There’s something magical about a crisp winter day, but as temperatures drop, staying warm becomes more than just a comfort—it’s essential! Cold weather can feel exciting at first, but it quickly becomes challenging without the right preparation. Whether you’re stepping out for a winter stroll, heading to the office, or braving the chill for errands, planning your wardrobe is the key to staying warm, safe, and comfortable. We’re sharing practical tips and style-savvy solutions to help you embrace the extreme cold and frostiest days of the year. With the right layering techniques and cozy essentials, you can stay snug while looking effortlessly chic all winter long.
How To Stay Warm In Cold Weather
Warm Fabrics
Our first tip to staying warm in cold temperatures is to be very strategic about what fabrics you select. If you live somewhere cold, you probably already know that there are certain fabrics that keep your body warm and prevent heat loss…but they are worth repeating! Look for sweaters, base layers, jackets, and coats in fabrics like cashmere, wool, alpaca, faux fur, and down.
Layering
To stay warm during the winter, it’s allll about layering! For extreme cold, you’ll want a super warm base layer, a cashmere sweater, a puffer jacket, and a coat. If you live somewhere that’s cold but not freezing, a cashmere sweater and puffer or coat should do the trick!
Invest in High-Quality Coats & Jackets
To survive freezing cold temps, you need to always have a puffer jacket or coat and a cashmere or wool wrap coat at the ready! But not just any old puffer and coat…they need to be high quality…especially if you live somewhere super cold! Investing in pieces with high-quality fabrics (like we mentioned above) will not only keep you warm, but those pieces will last longer and you’ll wear them for years.
Next, don’t forget about your shoes! You hold so much body heat in your head and feet so if your feet are cold, you will be cold. Some of Erin’s favorite brands for cold, snowy climates include Sorel, Aquatalia, Blondo, La Canadienne, and Ugg.
Winter Accessories
And of course, you can’t forget about warm winter accessories. A cashmere scarf, wool beanie, fleece-lined or cashmere gloves, and cashmere or wool socks are all absolute must-haves for combating the coldest winter days!
How To Dress Warmly In Cold Weather
Puffer Jacket & Cashmere Sweater
This outfit is perfect for anyone who lives in a cold climate that’s not extreme cold. For example, Erin lives in Telluride, Colorado where it can get pretty cold, but the sun and dryness help combat the lower temps. This outfit is something Erin would wear running errands or grabbing the kids from school. She’s wearing her go-to favorite puffer jacket by Sam in a cool navy color. The Sam puffers are SO warm, not too bulky, have a flattering silhouette, and come in fun colors that make them feel more elevated. This jacket is so warm it can even be worn as a ski jacket!
Underneath the puffer jacket, Erin has on a thin but warm cashmere turtleneck sweater. The turtleneck keeps her neck warm and the cashmere is super high quality and soft. Next, she has on a pair of jeans by Mother. If you’re worried about being cold, you could always wear a pair of fleece-lined leggings underneath too. To complete the look, she has on a pair of waterproof boots and warm gloves.
Wool Coat & Puffer Coat
When you need some extra warmth, you’ll want to add a chic outer layer like this chic wool coat. Erin recently got this coat from Quince and loves the shawl collar, longer length, and overall warmth! Underneath the coat, Erin’s wearing a Herno puffer.
Herno is a Telluride-mom favorite that Erin originally found out about from one of the local boutiques. You know that if it’s sold in the local boutiques of a ski town…it’s legit warm! It’s a very luxurious, Italian brand that makes beautiful, lightweight puffers that are chic, effortless, and perfect for layering (but warm enough on their own too!). They’re a little pricey, but if you live in a cold climate or frequently visit a cold climate, it’s worth investing in a coat that’s actually warm that you’ll wear every single year! Complete the look with your go-to jeans, a pair of snow-ready boots, gloves, a scarf, and a beanie for an ultra-warm winter look!

Wrap Coat & Cashmere Sweater
This outfit is similar to the first, but instead of a puffer jacket, Erin is wearing a wrap coat by Veronica Beard. This exact wrap coat is sold out, but there are SO many beautiful options out there. We recommend getting one in a neutral color and in a wool or cashmere blend fabric. Layer your wrap coat over a high-quality cashmere sweater for maximum warmth and add your winter accessories like a scarf, gloves, and warm boots.
Wrap Coat & Fleece Lined Leggings
If you love the last look but want something more casual, this outfit is for you! Erin’s wearing a gorgeous black wrap coat over a cashmere sweater. But instead of jeans, she has on a pair of leggings. We highly recommend a pair of fleece-lined leggings for the cold weather. If you’ll be outside for a while, this outfit probably isn’t super ideal…it’s best for running errands or grabbing a quick coffee. Complete the look with a pair of chic black waterproof booties, a beanie, scarf, and gloves for a winter-ready casual outfit.
Puffer Coat & Cashmere Sweater
This last outfit is a simple and traditional winter outfit idea. Erin’s wearing a blak puffer coat by Herno. It has all of the same wonderful qualities as the first Herno puffer we shared above. It’s luxurious, lightweight yet warm, easy to layer, and a longer length for maximum warmth. This has a zipper instead of snaps…so it’s easier to get on/off if that’s important to you. Erin has it on over a warm cashmere sweater, straight-leg jeans, and classic black waterproof booties.

Finding a good present for a man, woman, or child can feel like a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be. Whether it’s for a birthday, anniversary, or just because, the right present can speak volumes about how much you care. The key is to approach the process thoughtfully and creatively. Let’s break it down step by step to make gift-giving not only easy but also enjoyable.
When choosing a gift, start by considering the recipient’s interests, hobbies, and lifestyle. Are they a book lover, a foodie, or an avid traveler? Paying attention to these details can help you find something that feels personal and meaningful. By focusing on what makes them unique, you’ll be one step closer to finding a gift they’ll truly appreciate.
Here Are Easy Tips For Choosing A Good Present For Anyone–Woman, Man Or Child…
#1. Start By Thinking About The Person
The first step in choosing a gift is to consider the recipient’s interests, hobbies, and favorite things. Do they love curling up with a good book, exploring new restaurants, or traveling to exciting destinations? Pay close attention to their lifestyle and preferences to guide your decision.
For example, if you’re shopping for someone who values meaningful and personal gifts, consider something like birthstone necklaces for women. These pieces combine elegance with a heartfelt touch, showing that you’ve put thought into selecting something truly special. By focusing on what makes them unique, you’ll be well on your way to finding a gift they’ll cherish.
#2. Consider The Occasion
Next, consider the occasion. Different events call for different types of gifts. For milestone birthdays, you might go all out with something grand, while a small yet thoughtful present could be perfect for a “just because” moment.

For weddings, anniversaries, or baby showers, personal or keepsake items are often ideal. These gifts carry sentimental value and create lasting memories. When the gift aligns with the occasion, it feels more meaningful and appropriate, leaving a lasting impression on the recipient.
#3. Set A Budget That Feels Right
Let’s be realistic—gifts can add up quickly, and nobody wants to overspend. That’s why it’s so much easier to set a budget early on. Doing this not only narrows down your options but also helps reduce stress.
The good news is that a thoughtful present for anyone–whether a man, woman, or child–doesn’t have to break the bank. Sometimes, it’s the little things—handwritten notes or small, meaningful tokens—that leave the biggest impact. On the other hand, if it’s a special occasion and you want to splurge, go for it! Ultimately, it’s all about what feels right for you and your relationship with the recipient.
#4. Get Personal With Customization
You can always make your gift even more special by adding a personal touch. Personalization is a fantastic way to show how much thought you’ve put into the present. Consider engraving a piece of jewelry, adding their name to a cozy blanket, or creating a photo book filled with shared memories.
For example, if you’re shopping for a new mom, something meaningful—like jewelry for a new mom engraved with her child’s name—can be one of the most thoughtful and beautiful gifts you could give. These small yet significant details can turn an ordinary present into a cherished keepsake.

#5. Think In Terms Of Experiences, Not Objects
The best gifts aren’t always physical items—sometimes, experiences create memories that last a lifetime. Consider planning a surprise weekend getaway, booking a fun cooking class, or securing tickets to a concert they’ve been dreaming of attending. Experiences are also perfect for people who seem to have everything, as they’ll appreciate the thought and effort behind your plans. These moments often mean more than material gifts, leaving a lasting impression on the recipient.
#6. Wrap It Up Nicely
And then, of course, there’s the presentation. How a gift is given can significantly impact how it’s received. Taking a little extra time to wrap it beautifully, add a bow, or include a heartfelt note can go a long way in showing how much you care.
After all, who doesn’t love the thrill of unwrapping a beautifully packaged present? It’s those small, thoughtful details that elevate your gift and make it feel even more special and memorable.
#7. If In Doubt, Keep It Simple
If you’re still stumped, don’t overthink it—classic, universally loved presents like a nice candle, a box of chocolates, or a bouquet of flowers rarely go wrong. The key is to choose something that feels thoughtful and sincere. It’s not always about finding the most unique or expensive present; it’s about the effort you put into showing that woman, man, or child that you care. Sometimes, the simplest gestures can leave the biggest impact.
Final Thoughts
Let the search for the perfect gift be a joyful process, not a source of stress. Focus on the three key factors: the person, the occasion, and your budget. These elements will guide you to that “just right” present.

Personal touches, thoughtful wrapping, and even experience-based gifts can make all the difference. And remember, it’s the thought that truly counts. A gift given from the heart will always be cherished, no matter how big or small.

“The Kardashians” just unveiled its season 6 teaser poster, and Khloe Kardashian‘s Balenciaga dress did not disappoint. Khloe, who posed alongside her sisters and mom Kris Jenner, wore a risqué full-length dress with a bold cutout and the most crafty knotting detailing. Her form-fitting black attire accentuated her silhouette flawlessly, hinting that Khloe is not one to compromise her gym goals.
Khloe Kardashian models a Balenciaga cutout dress for ‘The Kardashians’ Season 6 poster
Season 6 of “The Kardashians” premieres on Hulu this February 6, and the teaser poster is just what the internet needed right now. Joining her family for another run of the hit reality TV series, Khloe Kardashian stunned in a monochromatic Balenciaga dress, as per WWD. The look was similar to those of her sisters and Kris. The slinky outfit, however, stood out for its iconic and risqué features, including a thigh-high slit, bold cutout, and striking knotting. These elements, along with the eminent Kardashian-Jenner charm, further elevated the poster’s refinement.
The outlet reported that Khloe’s dress had a stretchy jersey fabric and perfectly fitted along the curves of her body. Her long dress comprised distinctive knotted features around the bodice, hips, cuffs, and thigh-slit. In addition, it had a noticeably daring cutout to show off her toned physique. As for the neckline, the attire exhibited a subtle plunge and looked unexpectedly dramatic. The Good American co-founder paired the floor-length fit with pointed-toe heels featuring bows in the front to match the knots.
Apart from Khloe, the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner sisters and Kris posed for the shot in almost identical outfits. Kourtney, who stood right above Khloe, nailed a corset-like bodice with sharply structured shoulders and paired it with a skirt. Meanwhile, Kim took the center, posing in a corset-style dress cinched around her waist and pairing it with a dramatic choker. Kendall wore a strapless gown, exposing her bare shoulders while Kylie opted for a sequin dress, similar to some Khy pieces. Finally, Kris posed in an elegant knee-length dress.
On January 22, Oscar nominee Ariana Grande donned a beautiful Celine dress to attend a lunch reception in London. She attended the event with her co-star, Cynthia Erivo. The singer looked like a present herself as she sported a nude piece with a giant bow at the front. For the luncheon, she went with a strapless dress, which allowed her to flaunt some of her arm and upper back tattoos that usually stay hidden.
Ariana Grande’s Celine dress comes with a giant bow
Oscar nominee Ariana Grande is truly a gift who keeps giving to the fashion community as she recently stunned in a gorgeous Celine dress in London. For a recent lunch reception, she opted for a piece that took much inspiration from gift wrapping. While the minidress might look plain at first glance, it comes with a massive bow detailing at the front, which is then topped with some smaller bows.
The strapless dress had a simple A-line silhouette. However, the bodice is adorned with what appears to be one-half of a giant bow. The dress was nothing short of a bow party as the design made use of more bows to form a belt that helped cinch in the waist ever so slightly. Grande paired it with sheer black tights that contrasted the dress’ nude shade beautifully. She completed the look with a pair of black pointed-toe heels that further elevated the chic fit.
For her hairstyle, the singer sported one that she has been going for often as of late. She tied her light hair back into a sleek ponytail, sweeping her baby bangs to the side. She added some shimmer to the look with her white shimmery eyeshadow. However, she kept her lip makeup quite minimal, simply opting for a tinted lip gloss. She also added a healthy dose of blush to bring back some color to her cheeks. Lastly, according to her stylist Mimi Cuttrell’s recent Instagram post, Grande accessorized with a pair of pearl stud earrings from Irene Neuwirth that added to the elegance of the overall look.
Happy Friday, gang – TGIF! It’s been a snowy week here in Athens, and believe me, when the South gets snow, everything shuts down! So we have had a few days of hunkering down at home, which has been nice, actually. It forced me to slow down a bit and focus on small tasks around the house. Though the temperatures are still freezing, we’re back in the sunshine today to celebrate the weekend with a sunny mango passion fruit mocktail and a wonderful Thai-inspired dish – easy and satisfying, the perfect way to kick off another chilly weekend!
Beth’s Casual Friday Outfit
Fridays with Oscar is all about keeping things comfy and casual for the weekend, but with just the right touch of style. Red corduroy pants from J.Crew and a rugby-striped polo sweater from Banana Republic are my go-to combo for today – a bright color combination that will brighten your mood and weekend. It’s cozy, effortless, and perfect for running errands or a casual lunch.
My Vince Silvana Suede Ankle Boots have been seeing a lot of action this winter, which makes their higher price tag 100% worth the investment. The neutral suede goes with virtually any outfit I put together!
Well, it’s a Banana Republic and J.Crew kind of weekend for me too! I recently found these Corduroy Barrel Pants at Banana and I have to tell you they are my new favorite winter pants! They come in petite, the fit is true to size – I am wearing petite 0. The cords are nearly sold out, but this style comes in chino too, and I think I will add the chino version to my list for spring because these pants fit a petite like a dream!

I have had my eye on the Franco Sarto Riley Loafer for months now, this color combination works with so many things in my wardrobe! But this loafer style comes in a few different finishes. Franco Sarto is a well-made, affordable brand that I love for their on-trend, yet classic styles.
This Mango Coconut Passion Mocktail is like tropical sunshine in a glass! It’s a welcome sip of tropical flavors as we experience arctic temperatures, here in the South. The cilantro and jalapeño give it a nice herby bite, but they are optional if you prefer to leave them out.
1cupmango juice
1cuppassion fruit juice
1cupcoconut water
3-4sprigs of cilantroplus more for garnish
3-4jalapeño slicesoptional
Thai Basil Beef Rolls
I am a big lover of Southeast Asian cuisines and these Thai Basil Beef Rolls are perfect! All of my favorite flavors and textures are there; the savory spiced beef with the cool crunch of cucumbers and the refreshing flavors of basil and cilantro is a heavenly combination. I think they would make a great addition to an appetizer spread…maybe for the Super Bowl? You can certainly use smaller tortillas and fill them a little less to get smaller, tightly rolled taquito-like beef rolls to serve a crowd.
1 ½poundsground beefor chicken or pork
black pepper
4clovesgarlicchopped
1tablespoonfresh grated ginger
1-3teaspoonsChinese 5-spice
1/3cuptamari or soy sauce
1/4cupThai chili sauce
1/4cupchopped green onions
4Persian cucumberschopped
2cupscilantrochopped
1/2cupThai basilchopped
1/3cupchopped roasted peanuts
8-10flour tortillaswarmed

In a large skillet, cook the beef with black pepper over medium heat, breaking up the meat as it cooks until browned, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic, ginger, and Chinese 5-spice, and cook another minute. Add the tamari and sweet Thai chili sauce. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until the sauce coats the beef, 3-5 minutes. Stir in 2 tablespoons of chopped green onions. remove from the heat.
Place one tortilla at a time in the microwave for 15 seconds. Spoon the beef down the center, then top with cucumber, cilantro, basil, green onion, and peanuts. Fold the tortilla over the filling. Then fold the sides and ends of the tortillas over the filling and roll forward. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
Serve warm with extra soy, chili garlic sauce, and toasted sesame oil for dipping. To make this a dinner, serve with rice on the side.

16 winter travel essentials
In this post, we’ll be sharing a comprehensive guide of the BEST winter travel packing essentials and tips for your next cold-weather trip. These carefully selected items will not only keep you warm but also help you elevate your travel style. Whether you’re a seasoned traveler or heading on your first winter vacation, these tips and shopping finds will ensure you’re fully prepared for any winter adventure.
How to Prepare for Winter Travel
Before we dive into the must-have winter travel essentials, let’s discuss how to prepare for your trip first. Packing for a winter vacation is a little different from other seasons, but with the right approach, you can enjoy your trip without being weighed down by bulky luggage.
Check the Weather Forecast
The last thing you want is to pack the wrong winter gear for your destination, so before you even start packing, check the weather forecast and plan accordingly. If snow is expected, make sure you have comfortable, waterproof snow boots, warm base layers, and a weather-proof warm puffer coat. If you’re heading somewhere milder that doesn’t get snow, your coat or even a jacket and base layers will work.
Consider Your Itinerary
Next, you’ll want to make sure you’re properly prepared for your activities. Will you be skiing or snowboarding? Planning to snowshoe or do lots of sightseeing? Staying inside, visiting the spa, or prioritizing fine dining at new restaurants? Knowing your itinerary will help simplify clothing choices and should be one of the first factors to consider while planning out your packing list.

Create a Packing List
Now with the weather and your itinerary in mind, it’s time to make your list! The key to packing light for winter is creating a strategic packing list. Start with your must-haves, like winter clothes and accessories, then build from there. Pick a color story for your outfits and create a simple, curated capsule wardrobe for your trip. It’s really all about layering here—create a system that allows for maximum versatility so you easily mix and match everything.
Pack Smart with Packing Cubes
For your winter trip, packing cubes are a game-changer, especially compression packing cubes. They help organize your clothes, keep your packing light, and maximize space in your suitcase. We recommend packing them by item type…pants in one, tops in another, etc. – and utilize various sizes of cubes to maximize the space in your bag.
Winning Carry-on Suitcase
Your main suitcase is also an important consideration. If you want to travel light with a strategically packed suitcase, we definitely recommend a carry on. Packing in just a carry on also means less time in the airport and no chance of lost luggage. One of Erin’s favorite carry-on’s – This suitcase by Beis. She says it’s very similar to her Tumi suitcase but for a fraction of the price. Whether you are driving or flying, this suitcase and a mini weekender tote bag will be all that you need.
What to Pack for Winter Travel
Now that we’ve covered how to prepare for your winter trip, let’s talk about the specific items you’ll want to pack inside of your suitcase and mini weekender tote. Below are the Top 16 winter travel essentials you need to help you stay warm, comfortable, and stylish no matter where your travels take you.
#1 | Chic & Comfy Travel Day Outfit
Let’s kick things off with your travel day outfit. Layers are key—you’ll want pieces you can easily add or remove if you get warm or cold on the plane, train, or in the car. Plan to wear your outerwear on travel day since it’s your bulkiest piece—this simple trick will save so much room in your suitcase. Erin’s go-to travel set is the Spanx AirEssentials black loungewear set pictured above. It’s lightweight, wrinkle-resistant, and effortlessly chic. Plus, you can wear the pieces together or mix and match them with other items in your suitcase.
If you’re shopping any of the SPANX AirEssentials pieces shared above , make sure to use code ERINXSPANX for 20% off + free shipping!
#2 | Base Layer – Top and Bottoms
A solid base layer is essential for any winter trip, especially if you’re braving the cold. Merino wool is a top choice for warmth, moisture-wicking, and breathability (make sure it’s the soft version and not scratchy). Your base layer is ideal for layering under your clothes and will keep you dry and extra warm during outdoor activities. Cashmere (pictured above) is another amazing option—it can be three times warmer than wool! Erin loves both fabrics for skiing and winter travel, but prefers cashmere for its added warmth, and luxurious texture and softness. We’ve linked our favorites below!
Make sure to choose a top that you’re comfortable wearing on its own in case you need to remove your extra layers throughout the day!

#3 | Layering Pieces – Sweaters and Jackets
Layering is key in the winter, and having a few sweaters and a couple of jackets will allow you to adjust your outfit depending on the temperature. When choosing your sweaters, make sure they are warm and light enough to layer under your jackets and blazers. You can also wear them on their own if the temps are a little warmer. We love to pack a sporty and chic cashmere hoodie.
A cozy jacket and a tailored, flattering blazer are great, versatile pieces to pack as well. Simply choose the type of jacket that feels aligned with your style and planned activities. We recommend one lightweight blazer, and a more elegant wrap or duster coat. If it’s going to be really cold, a packable puffer is another must-have on your trip.
#4 | Fleece Lined Leggings
When temperatures drop, fleece lined leggings are an absolute lifesaver. These (or your base layer bottoms) can be worn under your jeans to provide extra warmth on the coldest of days. This layering works best with wide-leg jeans, like these best-selling jeans – one of Erin’s all-time favorites! These leggings are lightweight, comfy, and can even be worn on their own for a sporty look on milder days.
PRO TIP: You can pack either a base layer or fleece-lined leggings. You shouldn’t need both.
#5 | Cashmere or Merino Wool Socks
Cashmere and merino wool socks are a game-changer in cold weather. These cozy socks are perfect to keep your toes warm and dry during long walks or outdoor activities. Both fabrics also naturally repel moisture, so you don’t have to worry about wet, cold feet ruining your trip.
#6 | Winter Boots and Shoes
A pair of high-quality winter boots is a non-negotiable essential. Whether you’re walking through the snow or navigating slushy city streets, your feet need protection. Ever had a day ruined from cold, wet feet?? That is NOT what you want on your trip! Water-resistant boots with thick insulation and a sturdy sole will keep your feet warm and dry all day long. You’ll want at least 1-2 other pairs of shoes on your trip, so we recommend a dressier boot as well as a stylish sneaker. Wear your bulkiest shoe on travel day to allow for more space in your suitcase!
#7 | Cashmere Lined Gloves
A warm, cozy pair of gloves or mittens is a must-have for any cold-weather destination. Look for gloves made from leather, merino wool or cashmere with tech-friendly features that allows you to use your phone. You’ll want something that keeps your hands warm but is still functional for making phone calls and documenting your memories! We’ve linked a few of our favorites below.
#8 | Winter Scarf
A winter scarf is the perfect accessory to complement your cold-weather wardrobe. Choose one made from wool or cashmere for the ultimate warmth and comfort. A scarf is not only stylish but practical—it’s perfect for wrapping around your neck and face when the wind picks up. You can also wrap it around your shoulders at dinner or on the plane. This first one that Erin is wearing above is a cashmere and silk blend, lighter weight and comes in a ton of colors. The second option is 100% Mongolian Cashmere for ultimate warmth and luxury. Both can double as a wrap or even a blanket on travel day as well. We’ll link them below…
#9 | Hats and Beanies
Keep your head warm with a stylish beanie or hat. By the way, remember how your mom used to tell you that you lose all the heat from your head, we looked it up and that’s actually not true. 😉 That said; wearing a hat can keep you extra warm! Choose a cozy wool or cashmere cap with a lined interior for extra insulation. A knit beanie offers a minimalist vibe, while a cozy cashmere baseball cap brings a sporty twist to your look. This baseball cap actually has a soft lining that we’ve never seen before – it’s awesome!
#10 | Winter Coat
A high-quality winter coat is essential for staying warm during cold-weather trips. Erin’s wearing a puffer by Herno above. This one of her all time favorite brands, perfect for life in the snowy, mountain town of Telluride, CO. Herno, an Italian brand, makes wonderful, lightweight puffer coats that can be worn on their own or under another coat for maximum warmth! They also pack really well and won’t take up a ton of room in your suitcase.

#11 | Outer Layer – Waterproof Trench
IF it looks like rain on your trip, swap your wool/cashmere coat for a waterproof trench coat. It’s an elegant way to stay dry during those rainy, winter days. The trench coat is light enough to layer over sweaters and can easily be dressed up or down, making it perfect for both sightseeing and casual dinners out. Erin picked this one up at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale last year and loves the leather piping detailing and water resistant features. It has limited stock, so we will link some similar options for you as well. We highly recommend packing an umbrella too. You’ll be SO glad you have it if you have to walk in the rain!
PRO TIP: Wear your packable puffer under your trench for added warmth.
#12 | Winter Sports Gear – Ski Suit
If you’re planning on hitting the slopes, you’ll need to pack your winter sports gear, including a durable, insulated ski jacket and water-resistant ski pants, as well as ski goggles, a helmet and gloves/mittens. Look for gear that’s both stylish and functional like the ski jumpsuit Erin is wearing above by Goldbergh. If it’s going to be below 20 degrees though, opt for separates to ensure you are warm enough for a day on the slopes. If you plan on taking your own skis – your packing list will be a bit different and won’t quite fit into a carry-on only 😉. You can always rent all the ski gear including a helmet once you arrive at your destination. Find more stylish, functional ski gear that Erin loves here.
#13 | Chic Polarized Sunglasses
Sunglasses may not be the first thing you think of when planning out your winter travel packing list… but they really are a must-have! Protecting your eyes is always important, but especially in the winter months. If there’s snow around you, things are inherently brighter… everywhere. A cool, chic pair of polarized shades will keep you protected and ready to take in all of the sights around you!
#14 | Skin Care Essentials for Cold Weather
Next on our list of winter travel essentials, is great skincare to keep your skin hydrated. Dry winter air can be tough on your skin, so be sure to pack moisturizing essentials like lip balm, hand cream, and a rich facial moisturizer. In winter months, Erin LOVES using a little extra of her go-to No. 9 face oil by Colleen Rothschild. It is so important to keep your skin hydrated and glowing, even in the coldest climates. Make sure to check out this post on even more tips for keeping your skin hydrated on a plane.
#15 | Chic Crossbody Bag
Next, a small, chic crossbody bag is a must-have for any trip, and this cold-weather trip is no exception. Above are two that Erin loves to travel with – and we know you will love them too! The super lightweight brown toned leather bag is the perfect size, comes in multiple color options, is sturdy, AND affordable. This black leather handbag by Loeffler Randall also has a gorgeous woven design, will fit all your essentials and will match everything you pack. Both colors are very neutral and versatile. If you are flying to your destination, slip this bag into your personal item bag or your carry-on so you meet the 2 bag limit for carry-on bags.
#16 | Luxurious Pajamas
Cozy, luxurious pajamas like the ones Erin is wearing above will give you an extra layer of comfort on your winter travels. Erin’s been wearing and loving these ultra-soft PJ’s by Eberjey for years. They come in so many colors, you’ll want to order multiples once you experience how soft and comfy they are. Warm, comfy slippers are a nice-to-have on your trip as well. Not essential, but a small but impactful luxury that will keep your feet toasty. Grab your silk sleep mask too, to help you really sleep well on your trip.
Packing for a winter trip doesn’t have to be overwhelming. With the right winter travel essentials, you can stay warm, stylish, and comfortable—without overpacking. Yes, even in a carry-on! Focus on versatile pieces like base layers, cozy boots, and chic accessories to keep things effortless and functional. Stick to a cohesive color palette, ensuring everything mixes and matches, and you’ll have a wardrobe that works effortlessly. Travel light, stay warm, and enjoy every moment of your winter adventure!

Loan move with buy option clause not mandatory, salary covered by AC Milan with contract agreed.
AC Milan have agreed to sign Manchester City captain Kyle Walker on loan for the remainder of the season, with an option to make the deal permanent in the summer. The 34-year-old full-back, who has been key to City’s six Premier League title wins under Pep Guardiola, is set to travel to Italy for a medical to finalize the move. Walker, who joined City from Tottenham Hotspur in 2017 for £50 million, expressed his desire to explore opportunities abroad after his last appearance against West Ham on January 4.
