From 30 years of data, itās not only the attention to terminating quality, the installation and method is as important as any old sparka can and do lash in data and believe me Iāve seen some right abortions in my time.
With ever increasing data rates and thicker data wires installation methods are becoming increasingly important with considerations that lighting is moving mote towards data cabling with control manage systems in domestic settings.
Oh and no more than a 45 degree bend once stripped as bending distorts the surface of the copper wire, creating a break or a bottle neck in the electron flow.
Seeing as Iām now a data engineer, training to become a sparky aswell Iām learning the more in-depth science and mathematics (alotā¦.ALOT of that!!) and itās fascinating science, even at 52 this not quite old dog, is learning new tricks.

Instead of untwisting the cables with the pvc, take a small laptop screwdriver – place between the bottom twist and pull up. you will get PERFECTLY straight cables to use

for commercial network installs.. make sure you put into your bid the pre-made cables of assorted lenghts.. saves you time from having to make cables for your patch panels and service locations.

Pass through connectors cause shorts. Shorts ruin switches. Its always a shitty old crimper that cant cut as well after making a few cables or some sparky using his dykes to cut the ends. Just be a man and use end connectors.
I have pictures of one, 25 feet in the air connected to a POE camera that went up after plugging in. Sparkys didn't want to rerun and thought they could charge an extra 6 hours of labor at "apprentice rate". Didn't let that shit slide once.

never had luck with passthrough terminations…always at least one weak connection. learn how to do it right and with a traditional connector, and you won't go wrong.
