Aldi confirms Specialbuys schedule changes for limited time

The budget supermarket always launches new Specialbuys twice a week – on Thursdays and Sundays – but as the Christmas period gets underway, the schedule will need to change.

During the festive break, Aldi has confirmed some changes to its schedule.

Specialbuys are additional items found in the middle aisle of Aldi and can include anything from BBQs to kitchen appliances and sports equipment.

When will Specialbuys be available to buy at Aldi this Christmas?

As Thursday this week is Christmas Day and stores are closed, the supermarket will not be launching its Specialbuys, and instead the next release will be on Sunday, December 28.

Specialbuys on Sunday include key household items like a 3-tier airer, a spray mop and candles.

With the New Year only a few days away now too, the schedule will change again at the start of 2026.

Instead of Thursday and Sunday, the first week of January will see Specialbuys released on Friday, January 2 and Sunday, January 4.

From January 2, shoppers can expect to see fitness equipment in the middle aisle, while from January 4, school uniforms and kitchen appliances like an air fryer will be available.

When is Aldi open over Christmas?

Like most shops and supermarkets, Aldi has tweaked its opening hours over the Christmas period.
