Jason Fraser Anderson’s family have arranged a community search in the hopes of finding the 33-year-old, who disappeared on Friday, December 12.
Police have released CCTV images of a man who has been missing for 12 days. A desperate search is underway to trace Jason Fraser Anderson, 33, who was last seen in Catrine in East Ayrshire.
Jason was last spotted around 6pm on Friday, December 12. He has not been seen or heard from since. Almost a fortnight on, police say they are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.
Jason is described as 5ft 7in, of medium build and with short, fair-coloured hair. As his disappearance nears the two-week mark, Jason’s family has organised a search of the woodlands close to where he vanished for this weekend.
Frankie Fraser, Jason’s brother, posted on Facebook on Christmas Eve: “We want to sincerely thank everyone who has shared the posts about my brother.
“Unfortunately, he still hasn’t been found yet or made any sort of contact and we’re all extremely concerned for his safety.
“We would be greatly appreciative if anyone could help in any way to support us in the search, we are organizing a search party on December 28 to search the wooded areas of Catrine and surrounding areas.
“We will be meeting at Mirza Stores in Catrine, 69-71 Sorn Street at 10am, and any help would mean a lot to us during this difficult time. Please join us if you can. Thank you again for your support.”
Chief Inspector Stuart Dougan said: “We remain extremely concerned for Jason’s welfare and we are keen to find him as soon as possible to ensure that he is safe and well.
“Extensive searches and enquiries are being carried out to trace him and establish his movements since he was last seen.
“We are appealing to the family and friends of Jason, have you heard from him or seen him since Friday, December 12? If so, I am asking you to contact the police and make us aware that he is ok.
“We also urge Jason, if he sees this appeal, to contact us or a family member and let us know he is safe and well.”
Anyone with information on Jason’s whereabouts should contact Police Scotland through 101 quoting incident number 0991 of December 18, 2025.
