Prince Andrew’s Ex Claims There’s a ‘Feeding Frenzy’ Amid His Arrest

Published

on

Lady Victoria Hervey, the ex-girlfriend of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor (formerly Prince Andrew) appears to have likened the attention surrounding his arrest to a “blood sport.”

Posting via her X account on Friday, February 20, Hervey, 49, wrote,“There is a feeding frenzy going on right now which can only be compared to a blood sport like fox hunting.”

Hervey did not mention Andrew directly in the post, but she has been a staunch supporter of the former royal in the past as controversy swirled surrounding his ties to the late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Andrew was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office on Thursday, February 19, which was also his 66th birthday.

Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright later said in a statement, “Following a thorough assessment, we have now opened an investigation into this allegation of misconduct in public office.”

“I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office. What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities. In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and cooperation,” Charles, 77, said in a statement issued by Buckingham Palace on Thursday. “Let me state clearly: the law must take its course.”

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested at his Sandringham estate in Norfolk, England, on Thursday, February 19 — his 66th birthday. The United Kingdom’s Thames Valley Police confirmed that they had “arrested a man in his sixties from Norfolk on suspicion of misconduct in public office.” While they did not reveal the suspect’s identity, due to national […]

Hervey has publicly defended Andrew since the royal’s association with Epstein resurfaced in 2019. Following Andrew’s infamous BBC Newsnight interview in November 2019, Hervey surprisingly suggested the shocking TV appearance proved his innocence to her.

“I watched it and I thought, there is no way, if he is guilty, that he would go onto television and do an interview like that. There’s no way,” she insisted to Good Morning Britain at the time.

Andrew was sued by Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre over sexual assault allegations in 2021 and settled the lawsuit for a private sum the following year. Hervey frequently spoke out in defense of Andrew, who has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing. Giuffre died by suicide in April 2025.

In a Good Morning Britain interview in 2019, Hervey claimed had a short-lived romance with Andrew after his split from Sarah Ferguson. (Andrew and Ferguson wed in 1986 and welcomed two children, Princess Beatrice, 37, and Princess Eugenie, 35, before divorcing in 1996.)

“It was not really [dating], we had a couple of dinners together,” she told the British morning show at the time. “And that was around the same time [as I met Epstein], I think it was around 1999, 2000.”

5 Best Thrillers on Netflix, Prime Video and More, Ranked by Rotten Tomatoes Score (February 2026)

Everyone loves a good thriller. A hard-boiled mystery, a chilling crime procedural or an atmospheric neo-noir — there are so many movies to choose from, and they’re all accessible on streaming.

Watch With Us loves every kind of suspense flick, and we can always find what we’re looking for on platforms like Netflix, Prime Video and HBO Max.

This February, we’ve ranked the five best thrillers you can watch right now on streaming.

Our picks include Saltburn starring Barry Keoghan and Jacob Elordi, and M. Night Shyamalan‘s Trap, about a loving father who is secretly a serial killer.

Rotten Tomatoes score: 56 percent

Teenager Riley (Ariel Donoghue) has a great relationship with her dad Cooper (Josh Hartnett), and she’s excited to spend some quality time with him at the concert for her favorite pop musician (Saleka Night Shyamalan). However, Riley has no idea that underneath his goofy smile and dad jokes, Cooper is a serial killer called The Butcher, and he’s being hunted by the FBI. While at the venue, Cooper becomes aware that the authorities tracked his attendance and plan to trap him there, getting him in cuffs once and for all. But Cooper is crafty, and he stays one step ahead of the police while giving his daughter a day she’ll never forget.

Wild and over-the-top like any M. Night Shyamalan movie, Trap might not be quite what it is without Harnett’s singularly psychotic and scenery-chewing performance. If you can excuse some plot holes, inconsistencies and threads that straight up just don’t make sense, Trap is a fantastic time at the movies. The dark humor and atmospheric tension are perfectly cultivated around what is effectively a one-man show for Harnett’s talents.

Rotten Tomatoes score: 58 percent

Disillusioned Los Angeleno Sam (Andrew Garfield) floats through his life without direction, majorly behind on his rent payments, spending most of his time playing video games or hanging out with his hipster friends. When he meets his beautiful new neighbor, Sarah (Riley Keough), Sam suddenly gets a jolt of adrenaline that wakes him from sleepwalking. But the day after he meets her, Sarah goes missing, and Sam is desperate to get her back. He suddenly finds himself trying to untangle a knotty web involving missing moguls, underground bunkers and codes hidden on cereal boxes. It all leads to a massive conspiracy at the heart of Los Angeles.

Under the Silver Lake was treated unfairly by its distributor, ultimately getting pushed back twice until it was shown in a few theaters in April 2019 and then immediately dumped on streaming. Since then, the film has steadily gained a cult following who defend its status as a modern noir masterpiece. With its languid pace, eerie atmosphere and bizarre narrative, Under the Silver Lake is heavily indebted to its film noir inspirations but is its own unique and unforgettable experience.

Rotten Tomatoes score: 59 percent

While descending through the circles of Hell, Jack (Matt Dillon) explains to Virgil (Bruno Ganz) his mortal life as a failed architect and successful serial killer for the past twelve years. Jack waxes poetic about five of his most elaborate kills, which he attempts to justify to Virgil as necessary works of art that have given his life meaning. His victims include an abrasive woman who irritates him (Uma Thurman), a simple-minded girlfriend he abuses (Keough), a mother (Sofie Gråbøl) with two young sons and an unfortunate homeowner named Claire who happens to open her door for him (Siobhan Fallon Hogan).

Divisive and discomforting, The House That Jack Built is macabre, gruesome and darkly funny, led by a performance from Dillon that is somehow charismatic in just how disturbing it is. None other than master provocateur Lars von Trier could have crafted a wild film such as this, and while The House That Jack Built demands you look at it, you might find it impossible to turn away. In addition to being bitingly funny, stylish and compelling, it offers a stimulating exploration of art and violence.

Rotten Tomatoes score: 72 percent

Scholarship student Oliver (Keoghan) has difficulty fitting in with his posh peers at Oxford University, but finds surprising companionship with Felix (Elordi), a wealthy student who sympathizes with Oliver and his difficult upbringing. In an ultimate act of kindness, Felix invites Oliver to stay with him at his family’s massive country estate over the summer holiday, which Oliver readily accepts. But soon after Oliver arrives at the mansion — known as Saltburn — horrifying events begin to happen to Felix’s family, and we come to learn Oliver’s summer plans don’t just involve relaxation.

Sumptuously directed by Wuthering Heights‘ auteur Emerald Fennell, whose production design and cinematography make the visuals an aesthetic delight, Saltburn is Call Me by Your Name by way of The Talented Mr. Ripley. Elordi, Keoghan and Rosamund Pike are the true standouts of the film, but Richard E. Grant, Archie Madekwe and Carey Mulligan are also terrific in some high camp performances. The movie mixes laugh-out-loud humor with outrageous scenes of provocation, and it succeeds more as a fun, pulpy thriller than the satire it’s trying to be.

Rotten Tomatoes score: 84 percent

Contract mafia hitman Ghost Dog (Forest Whitaker) carries out his hits with ghostly precision, a result of adhering tightly to the ancient code of the samurai. Ghost Dog commits his life to serving a mobster named Louie (John Tormey), who saved his life many years ago. When Louie instructs Ghost Dog to kill Handsome Frank (Richard Portnow), who’s been sleeping with the daughter of local mob boss Vargo (Henry Silva), Vargo sends for Ghost Dog to be killed to avoid being implicated in Frank’s murder.

Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai is a gripping blend of samurai philosophy, gangster movies and hip-hop culture, anchored by a profoundly moving performance from Whitaker as a man who is isolated, lonely and out of touch with reality. Carried by a memorable soundtrack produced by RZA, Jim Jarmusch‘s unique direction helps to craft a hypnotic pace and stylish atmosphere, as the film deftly explores themes pertaining to loyalty and personal codes of ethics and morality.

Jeana Turner Accuses ‘ANTM’ Of Emotional Manipulation After Makeover

Published

Tyra Banks at The Daily Front Rows 9th Annual Fashion L.A. Awards

An “America’s Next Top Model” alum is speaking out years after her controversial makeover aired, and she’s not holding back. Jeana Turner, who appeared on Cycle 24 of the long-running reality competition, claims she was misled by production before receiving the infamous head-shaving transformation that shocked viewers in 2018. Her comments come on the heels of Netflix’s new docuseries examining the show’s legacy, which she says only begins to reveal what contestants actually experienced behind the scenes.

Jeana Turner Says Netflix Doc Only ‘Scratches The Surface’

“America’s Next Top Model” alum Turner says she was misled by Tyra Banks and her team before receiving her infamous head shave makeover in 2018.

Turner spoke with the Daily Mail days after the release of the Netflix docuseries “Reality Check,” described by the streamer as Banks and a collection of “models, judges and insiders” reminiscing on “the reality show’s complicated legacy.” She said that after watching the three-episode limited series, she felt it was only “scratching the surface” of the “harsh treatment” and “emotional manipulation” the hundreds of models who populated the show’s casts had to endure.

The Nashville-born model was 24 when she appeared on 15 episodes of the hit reality series during its 24th season in 2018.

The Infamous Head-Shaving Makeover That Shocked Viewers

Turner, who was diagnosed with alopecia when she was 10, was involved in a number of uncomfortable sequences on the show, most infamously, on the third episode of the season, titled “Beauty Is a Trademark.”

In the episode, which aired in January of 2018, Banks and producers ordered Turner to shave her head in front of the cameras and model bald during a makeover-themed segment. (She had worn wigs on the runway prior to that point in her career.) “What I was told was, ‘We know that you lost your hair during your childhood so we’re going to replace the hair that you lost,’” Turner told the Daily Mail.

Turner, who presides over a beauty business Haus Of Anomali (which offers wigs, hair pieces and extensions), said she originally believed she would be receiving a high-end wig as part of the makeover. “For me, I’m thinking OK that’s exciting because this is ‘America’s Next Top Model’ and I’ve struggled with wigs my entire life,” she said. “I’ve struggled for so long to restore the hair that I initially lost as a child; the texture, the color, everything.”

Shocking Moment Left Jeana Turner Feeling Misled

Turner said she was confident she was working with industry professionals capable of delivering the transformation she envisioned. “So I’m like if there’s anyone that can do it, its Tyra Banks and her makeover team, of course, so I got really excited,” she said.

But according to Turner, the moment quickly took an unexpected turn when stylist Law Roach revealed what was actually planned. “They were like ‘Hey Jeana, you know how we told you we were giving you a wig?’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah.’ He said ‘Psych,’ and he takes out a razor, a regular razor that you would shave your armpits with, and was like ‘Psych, we’re BIC-ing your head!’”

Turner described freezing as she processed what was happening while cameras continued rolling. “I’m one of those people that is like so hyper aware of cameras and who’s looking at all times,” she said. “I didn’t want to, at the time, put myself in a vulnerable position that kind of exposed how raw I actually felt at that time. I was just trying to gather my own thoughts, and just like figure it out, so I kind of just froze. I think I was maybe in a shock a little bit.”

Emotional Impact Of The Experience

Turner said her feelings shifted to anger as she realized how different reality was from what she believed had been promised. “They told me I was getting hair to now that they’re taking my wig off and also shaving what little bit of hair that I have,” said Turner, explaining that the hair being removed carried deep personal meaning because she had been growing it since childhood.

Turner also reflected more broadly on how contestants’ experiences often extended beyond what viewers saw on television. “What people saw was a version of events, but it wasn’t necessarily the whole picture,” Turner said. “At the end of the day, across 24 cycles, I think there’s been 400 and something contestants, you know that’s 400 and something different experiences from that show, and some a bit more traumatic than others. But for many of us, the impact went beyond what made it to air.”

Adam Driver’s ‘Star Wars’ Film Gets New Update From ‘Disappointed’ Director

Published

Steven Soderbergh attends premiere of 'Black Bag' at AMC Lincoln Square in New York on March 9, 2025

Director Steven Soderbergh is finally breaking his silence on “The Hunt for Ben Solo.” The project was officially announced by Adam Driver last year. The “Star Wars” actor revealed that he and Soderbergh had worked on the project for about two years before it was scrapped by top Disney execs, who didn’t understand how his character, Ben Solo, could still be alive after the events of 2019’s “The Rise of Skywalker.”

The sequel trilogy kicked off with 2015’s “The Force Awakens,” in which Adam Driver played the villainous Kylo Ren. He continued the role in 2017’s “The Last Jedi,” but was eventually redeemed in 2019’s “The Rise of Skywalker.” Unfortunately, he gave his life force to Rey (Daisy Ridley) after defeating Emperor Palpatine in order to bring her back to life, and seemingly faded into the Force himself.

Although Lucasfilm approved the idea, Disney executives later pulled the plug, saying they didn’t understand how Ben Solo could still be alive. In a new interview with BK Mag, the Oscar-winning filmmaker said, “It was no surprise” to hear that former Lucasfilm exec Kathleen Kennedy was frustrated by the film’s cancellation during her exit interview.

Soderbergh Said He Put In Over Two Years Of ‘Free Work’

“We were all frustrated,” Soderbergh said. “You know, that was two and a half years of free work for me and Adam and [writer] Rebecca Blunt. When Adam and I discussed him talking about it publicly, I said, ‘Look, do not editorialize or speculate about the why. Just say what happened, because all we know is what happened.’ The stated reason was, ‘We don’t think Ben Solo could be alive.’ And that was all we were told. And so there’s nothing to do about it, you know, except move on.”

“I’d kind of made the movie in my head, and just felt bad that nobody else was going to get to see it,” he continued. “I thought the conversation was strictly going to be a practical one—where they go, what is this going to cost? And I had a really good answer for that. But it never even got to that point. It’s insane. We’re all very disappointed.”

Adam Driver Revealed The Movie’s Existence In October 2025

In October 2025, fans were shocked to hear Adam Driver reveal that the movie had been in the works when he was promoting his latest film, “Father Mother Sister Brother,” in an interview with the Associated Press.

“I always was interested in doing another ‘Star Wars,’” Driver said. “I had been talking about doing another one since 2021. Kathleen (Kennedy) had reached out. I always said: With a great director and a great story, I’d be there in a second. I loved that character and loved playing him.”

Soderbergh and Rebecca Blunt outlined a story that was pitched to Kennedy, Lucasfilm vice president Cary Beck, and Lucasfilm chief creative officer Dave Filoni. Scott Z. Burns was brought in to write the script, which Driver called “one of the coolest (expletive) scripts I had ever been a part of.”

Adam Driver Claims Lucasfilm ‘Loved The Idea’

“We presented the script to Lucasfilm. They loved the idea. They totally understood our angle and why we were doing it,” Driver says. “We took it to Bob Iger and Alan Bergman, and they said no. They didn’t see how Ben Solo was alive. And that was that.”

“It was called ‘The Hunt for Ben Solo,’ and it was really cool,” he added. “But it is no more, so I can finally talk about it.” Although he didn’t reveal much of the film’s plot, he did emphasize that it was going to be a character-driven film along the lines of “The Empire Strikes Back.”

“We wanted to be judicial about how to spend money and be economical with it, and do it for less than most but in the same spirit of what those movies are, which is handmade and character-driven,” Driver says. “‘Empire Strikes Back’ being, in my opinion, the standard of what those movies were. But he is, to me, one of my favorite directors of all time. He lives his code, lives his ethics, doesn’t compromise.”

At the time, Soderbergh released his own statement, saying, “I really enjoyed making the movie in my head. I’m just sorry the fans won’t get to see it.”
