Zack Polanski Fires Back After Cabinet Ministers Attack
Zack Polanski has used a four-letter word to slam a cabinet minister after Steve Reed accused him of being a “con artist”.
The housing secretary attacked the Green Party leader in an interview with HuffPost UK by referring back to Polanski’s past job as a hypnotherapist.
Polanski was notably interviewed by The Sun in 2013 about the possibility of being able to enhance breast size.
Reed said: “You have to question the morality of an individual who used to make money by pretending he could hypnotise women to get them a bigger bra size.
“That is the action of a con artist, not a serious, caring individual.”
The Green Party leader fired back on X, writing: “Steve Reed – Housing minister – launches a Christmas Day attack. And it’s their usual shit.”
The Green Party leader has often been questioned about that past encounter with The Sun.
Speaking to the BBC after being elected the Greens’ new leader, Polanski said: “I apologised for that 12 years ago, and one of my favourite politicians, Tony Benn, often said, ‘I don’t care where you came from, I care where you’re going’.”
Polanski’s spat with Reed comes as his party rises in the polls, and are even beating Labour according to one FindOutNow survey.
The pollsters put Reform on 31%, the Tories on 20%, the Greens on 18% and Labour on 14% while the Lib Dems lag behind on 11%.
Polanski also released a Christmas Day message on social media at 3pm about the need to end the “demonisation” of small boat migrants.
It caused a stir, partly because the timing meant it clashed with the King’s Speech.
Amid the backlash, Polanski wrote on X: “The Guardian accused me of hubris because I dared post at 3pm. The Calais Appeal donations are shooting up. Maybe the King might like to donate too? Or maybe the Government could actually implement a fair & managed migration system? A Christmas miracle!”
