The Juiciest And Most Viral Reddit AITA Dramas Of 2025

It’s the season of peace and goodwill for all men, right?

Except that, to be honest, all that benevolence can get tiring sometimes – especially if you’re finding your current Christmas company a little trying.

Speaking to HuffPost UK previously, Fiona Yassin, family psychotherapist and founder and clinical director of The Wave Clinic, said it’s best, where possible, to try not to judge those closest to you during the holidays.

But this does not apply, we think, to online dramas, like those shared to Reddit’s notorious r/AmItheAsshole (AITA).

They do, after all, clearly want to know whether you think they’re in the wrong (sanctioned judginess – a true gift!).

Here are some of the top posts from 2025, some of which are funny, some of which are horrifying, and all of which got thousands of upvotes:

“I finally just decided to leave the house the last time he told me because I only had four hours till their arrival. He cancelled.

“Now he is sulking, saying I am the problem because I can’t go with the flow. I have told him multiple times [that] I just need a couple of days’ notice to get things in order. But he insists I am just difficult, uptight and uncooperative.

Reddit’s verdict: Not the A-hole

“I’m currently on a solo trip in Tenerife, all-inclusive to save having to look for places to eat by myself… all tables are tables of eight.

“Last night, I was seated first and had a glass of wine. A family of five got seated at my table. Two adults and three children.

“The mother turned to me and said, ‘We do not wish to expose our children to women drinking alcohol.’ I smiled and said perhaps they should ask to move tables if it was an issue, but I would be drinking the wine.

“I went up to get food, and on [my] return the wine had disappeared. A waiter came over and asked to see my wristband… and said the family had told them I was underage… He was very apologetic and returned with a fresh glass of wine.

“AITA for then requesting the waiter bring me the full bottle along with a couple of shots of vodka?”

“I (23M) bake as a hobby… My sister is pregnant and wanted me to make the cake for her gender reveal.

“I asked her to send me the info so I could prep the inside-classic pink or blue filling. She says, ‘Oh no, I want to be surprised too. Just make it neutral for the reveal, and we’ll all find out together.’ She said she’ll have someone email the info to me later.

“The deadline comes, and I still have no gender. So I make the cake. It’s grey inside. Grey outside. Just full-on cement vibes. I even added little fondant clouds for effect. It still tasted great, but visually? Grim as hell.

“The reveal day comes, they cut into it, and my sister looks pissed… [I] calmly reminded her that no one told me the gender. I literally had no data to work with. I told her I wasn’t about to guess or go full improv on someone’s baby cake.”

Reddit’s verdict: Asshole

“My sister does this thing where she’ll just say something she wants with the expectation that someone will do it for her. For example, if she wants the air conditioning turned on, instead of asking someone to turn it on for her, she’ll keep repeating things like ‘Oh, isn’t it super warm in here?’

Last weekend it was my birthday, so my family and I went out to celebrate. During the meal, she kept making comments implying that she wanted another cocktail, but wouldn’t order it. The waitress even came by and asked if we needed anything, but she didn’t order a drink even when we all did.

“When we all got home, she got really snippy and said that it was super rude that we all got our own drinks and didn’t order one for her. My brother and I brought up that she said no when the waitress asked, but she said that wasn’t the issue. In her opinion, we should’ve known to order her a drink too.”

“I (33f) work in a very small, technical, specific, male-dominated field. I won’t give too much information… let’s just say it’s a subcategory of law.

“Yesterday I went to a bar with a couple of friends who introduced me [a man]… who works in the same field as me… naturally we started talking about our work.

“At one point, we were discussing a point on which we had different opinions, so I explained mine to him. He replied by saying that my opinion was based on nothing while his was based on the work of a professional (you guessed it, me).

“He basically started explaining my work to me, but in a completely wrong way… I asked him if he was sure that that was what the author meant, and he said that he was because it was ‘pretty simple’.

“I didn’t say anything because it was pretty funny to watch.

“At the end of the night… I decided to tell him that I was actually the person who wrote the work he had quoted, and that he hadn’t really understood it. He reacted very badly and got angry, and he told me that I had manipulated him to humiliate him.”

Reddit’s verdict: Not the A-hole

“My friend… downloaded dating apps… for the first time about a week ago.

“She’s also, [in my opinion]… average, looks-wise: not ugly, not super hot.

“Since then, she’s been complaining… that almost all the men there are ugly, short, etc… I asked to see which people she was calling ugly and… it mostly showed people perfectly in her league, as in moderately attractive guys.

“I told her that these guys were all in her league and she should give some of them a chance since she always complains about wanting to be in a relationship.

“She denied that she’s in the same league as them and said that she’s much more attractive than they are. I pointed out that in her own words, she doesn’t match with any of the guys she does find attractive, so she’s not in their league.”

“I made a blanket for my sister in law, Amanda. She’d asked for it in certain colours… I was happy to make it for her.

“When I gave it to her, she was excited, and she started to look it over… After a little bit, she said that she loved the blanket, BUT she couldn’t help but notice some of the little mistakes I’d made along the way.

“She handed it back to me and told me that she loves my progress with it and couldn’t wait to see the finished project. I told her that it was finished. She looked down at it and said that it wasn’t done until it was perfect.

“I was honestly dumbfounded by this… I made this blanket for her for free out of my own free time because I love her. I told her that. She said she knows, and she loves me for it, but that she wouldn’t… be able to focus on anything but the mistakes.

″[I] took the blanket back and said that if she doesn’t want it, I’ll keep it.”
