Strictly Come Dancing’s Lewis Cope and Katya Jones are preparing to reunite on the dance floor again following their unexpected departure from the BBC hit show.

The duo were eliminated from the competition just two weeks before the final, after finding themselves in the bottom two alongside Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin.

However, fans will soon have the opportunity to see them perform together again. They have revealed plans to host a one-off workshop in Lewis’s hometown of Hartlepool.

Sharing the exciting news, they shared a video on Katya’s Instagram stories as the Emmerdale actor announced: “So a lot of people have been messaging us and commenting and saying they want to dance with us. Katya jumped in and added, “So we’ve decided that we want to dance with you.”

They provided a link for tickets to the event, which is scheduled for Sunday, 22nd February, from 10am to 11:30am. General admission is priced at £75.00, plus a £2.00 booking fee.

This reunion follows their surprising exit from the dance competition during the quarter-finals, despite being tipped as favourites to win.

At the time, an emotional Katya responded: “I think you have created so many moments for Strictly Come Dancing that will be in the history books, you will be remembered as the best male celebrity we ever had on the show.

Reflecting on the influence of the show, Lewis added, “What is life without people. I’ve seen how it’s brought people together.” It seems to lift people up. It’s brought my family, four generations, together every Saturday night.

“Young boys who thought it wasn’t accessible have started dancing. If you’ve changed one person’s life like that, then that’s enough.”

Following their exit, Karen Carney and Carlos Gu went on to win and lift the Glitterball Trophy.
