Police remain in attendance at the scene after the body was recovered from the water on Sunday morning.
A body has been recovered from the water in Fife. Emergency crews were alerted to the beach in Kirkcaldy at around 11am on Sunday, December 28.
Officers remain in attendance and enquiries are ongoing. Images from the scene show a number of police vehicles at the promenade.
A large area of the Esplanade has been taped off. Several uniformed officers were also pictured standing at the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11am on Sunday, 28 December, 2025, we received a report of a body being discovered in the Esplanade area of Kirkcaldy. Officers are in attendance and enquiries are ongoing.”
