Coronation Street hunk working at very normal job five years after dramatic soap exit
ONE of the hunks from Coronation Street is now working a very normal job after his soap exit.
It’s been five years after his dramatic ITV soap departure in 2019 and he’s seemingly opted for a career change.
Paddy Wallace, 44, first made his Coronation Street debut in 2016 as Jude Appleton.
He stayed on the long-running serial drama for three years as a firm fan favourite.
On the show, he tracked down his long-lost mother Mary (Patti Clare) who was living on the infamous Salford street.
According to Instagram, the actor now works as Head of Sales at The Furniture Show.
His LinkedIn suggests that his role is based at the Clarion Events company in Manchester.
It is sure to be a busy time for the star who now has a high level role at the ‘UK’s largest trade show’.
The company’s Instagram profile says the event will return to the NEC in Birmingham in January 2025.
However, he is still in touch with his on-screen mother as he was pictured with her on social media.
Posting a beaming snap with his children and Patti on his Instagram grid page, he wrote: “A lovely morning catching up with my wonderful pal and other Mum! Inimitable @patti.clark5 x.”
On the soap, his character was abandoned as a baby and left on the steps of a hospital before he was adopted and raised by a loving family.
Mary previously tried to look for her son and Jude later uprooted his family to Weatherfield after his baby son George was born.
He later admitted that he lied to his wife Angie (Victoria Ekanoye), who soon threw him out of the house.
Jude was spotted in Blackpool in 2019 as Mary stood by her son, only to then be left £800 out of pocket after he conned her.
Coronation Street’s 2024 shock exits
Corrie has said goodbye to several cast members this year. Let’s break down who’s left the famous soap:
Eliza Woodrow (Savannah Kunyo) has said farewell to Corrie to start a new life in Germany.
The youngster moved to live with her dad Dom Everett, who went back on the £10,000 bribe Eliza’s grandfather Stu had offered to keep him out of her life.
Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) will bow out of the soap this summer when he loses his fight with motor neurone disease (MND) in tragic scenes.
After being diagnosed last year, the fan favourite was devastated to learn he only had months left to live.
Viewers know he is planning to take his own life to end his suffering.
Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) departed the cobbles after being offered the opportunity of a lifetime to study in America.
Though she struggled to decide with her stepdad Paul’s impending death from MND, she was convinced she had to live her life to the full.
Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) has struggled with the sudden departure of his father Peter from the cobbles.
The Weatherfield legend left his family and loved ones behind on Boxing Day, 2023, when his wife Carla Connor encouraged him to travel around the world with a friend.
Simon’s been on a downward spiral ever since and his exit could end in tragedy.
Alya Nazir is set to leave the cobbles as actress Sair Khan prepares to go on maternity leave ahead of the birth of her first child.
It looks likely she’ll be heading to Dublin after securing a lucrative new job, leaving her colleague and fling Adam Barlow behind.
Show stalwart Sue Cleaver, who plays Eileen Grimshaw, is taking a break to star in the Sister Act The Musical UK tour. She will be back filming in May once her dates on the tour come to an end.
Her character left the Street after her son Jason broke his back after falling off a moped in Asia.
Coronation Street is available to watch on ITV1 and stream on ITVX.

Marvel fans ecstatic to see one detail in new trailer for Daredevil: Born Again
Marvel has released a preview of its entire slate of TV shows for 2025, which included a much-anticipated glimpse of Daredevil: Born Again, which has delighted fans.
Ahead of the finale of Agatha All Along, a montage previewing all of Marvel’s Disney+ shows seemingly leaked online featuring footage of some major forthcoming titles.
It included live action series Daredevil: Born Again, Ironheart and Wonder Man as well as the animated shows What If…? Season 3, Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man, Eyes of Wakanda and Marvel Zombies.
Easily the biggest among these is the new Daredevil series which will see Charlie Cox return as blind attorney Matt Murdock for a reboot of the Netflix original series, which was based on the comics created by Stan Lee and Bill Everett.
The new trailer shows that Vincent D’Onofrio will be returning as Kingpin and Jon Bernthal reprising his role as The Punisher. Various action scenes are also shown in the trailer but one moment has got fans very excited.
In one snippet, Daredevil can be seen diving from a rooftop and using his billy club to swing from another building, as Spider-Man would with his webbing.
This is a common thing that Daredevil does in the comics but until now has not been featured in any of the live-action adaptations of the character on screen.
Many fans have reposted the scene on X/Twitter and are understandably exhilarated by the prospect of seeing a famous trope brought to life.
One person asked: “Are we about to live in a world where Daredevil has better swinging scenes than Spidey?”

Another said: “Daredevil swinging with his billy club is everything to me, I waited SO long to finally see this”
A third wrote: “DAREDEVIL USING HIS CLUBS TO SWING OFF BUILDINGS!”
A fourth added: “Daredevil using his clubs to go from building to building looks so cool.”
It comes after Cox reportedly asked for his stunt double Chris Brewster, to work on the programme alongside him. Brewster starred as Cox’s stunt actor in the Netflix series, which came to an end in 2018 after three seasons.
Appearing on an episode of the Ikuzo Unscripted podcast, Brewster divulged that Cox had put in the request to bring him back but that it was sadly rejected multiple times.
He also claimed that “nobody” who had previously worked on all three seasons of the original Netflix Daredevil series was asked to return.
“But ultimately, Born Again, I had no doubt that they were going to reach out to me. Charlie [Cox] specifically requests me on everything, and he always goes out of his way and fights for me to be there,” said Brewster.
“And he asked them over and over to bring me in, and I never even got a phone call. Ironically, nobody that worked on seasons one, two or three went back.”

Watch the awkward moment MAFS UK bride’s MUM is accused of flirting with groom and says ‘I’d snap him up’
MARRIED At First Sight star Lacey‘s mum makes another appearance in the upcoming homestays following fan backlash.
But things don’t go to plan as she begins to flirt with her son-in-law Nathan and jokes that she’d “snap him up”.
Lacey heads home to visit her mum and sister Paige as the process nears the end.
In a preview clip for Thursday’s episode, Nathan is seen doing some DIY as he picks up a paint brush.
But Lacey’s mum uses it as an opportunity to enjoy some flirty banter with the young lad, 24.
She cheekily rubs his shoulders, prompting Lacey to warn her: “Mum, stop flirting with my man.”
The smitten mother-in-law then tells the camera: “If only he was 20 years older, I’d snap him up.”
Earlier this month, viewers watched as Lacey’s mum and sister Paige divided fans during “meet the in-laws” week.
However, fans hit out at “the mother in law from hell” after a disastrous visit.
First, her mother cornered Nathan in the kitchen and intensely quizzed him about whether he actually fancied Lacey – or sister Paige.
The barrage of questions continued over dinner, before the mother in law burst into tears when Nathan made a joke about her cooking.
Vegetarian Nathan ‘bantered’ that the chicken fajitas she had whipped up for them ‘looked like they were from the bottom of the bin’.
Fans were aghast at how the visit went and felt sorry for Nathan, who suffers from ADHD.
Writing on X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan blasted: “Lacey’s mum = mother in law from hell.”
Another added: “Laceys mum is MONSTER IN LAW.”
A third chimed in: “Oh Lacey’s mum is awful the mother in law from hell I would be so embarrassed I feel so sorry for him.”
But Lacey jumped to her mum’s defence.
Posting on Instagram, she wrote: “Hey everyone, wanted to clear a few things up, my mum did NOT know Nathan was vegetarian also she had no say in what we was eating, she just was told ur making fajitas!” she posted on her Instagram Story.
She added: “You need to remember it is edited for entertainment and to take it with a pinch of salt!”
This isn’t the first time Lacey’s mum has come under fire by fans.
She found herself in the spotlight during her daughter and Nathan’s wedding episode earlier in the series.
As he made his big entrance for the first time, she shouted across the wedding venue about his appearance.
“Wow, wow, oh my god. Can we swap?!” she yelled.
“Oh wow!” she added, before gasping and holding placing her hands on her face in shock.
Sitting in the front row, Lacey’s mum then continued towards Nathan: “Mummy’s got the approval, she likes!
“Very handsome man, very very handsome man.”
Fans were very quick to brand her “inappropriate”, with one adding: “Genuinely think I would die if my mum acted that way around my husband.”

Stephen Colbert mocks Trump’s ‘weird’ childhood family rule
Stephen Colbert has reacted to Donald Trump’s recent outlandish remarks he made at a rally in Georgia.
On Monday (October 28) evening, the former US president defended himself against accusations that he is a fascist while speaking to rallygoers in Atlanta. “I’m not a Nazi. I’m the opposite of a Nazi,” Trump told the crowd. “Y’know, years ago, my father – I had a great father, he’s a tough guy – he used to always say, ‘Never use the word Nazi.’ And he’d say, ‘Never use the word Hitler, don’t use that word.’”
During the latest episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the late-night host responded to Trump’s unconventional family rule, saying: “Well, that’s just weird. You can’t say Hitler? What does that mean? It’s not a swear word.”
Mimicking Trump’s voice, Colbert joked: “My dad used to say, ‘You can’t say Hitler, OK? Don’t you dare take his name in vain.’ And he would make me put a quarter – anytime I would – he would make me put a quarter in the ‘Hitler jar’ and when it got filled, he would send it to my uncles in Argentina.”
Trump, 78, has continuously denied claims made by former officials of his first term administration that he’s a fascist. In an interview with the New York Times published last week, former chief of staff John Kelly said that Trump “fits the definition of fascism.”
“Looking at the definition of fascism: It’s a far-right authoritarian, ultranationalist political ideology and movement characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy,” he said. “In my experience, those are the kinds of things that he thinks would work better in terms of running America.”
Shortly after, 13 former members of Trump’s administration wrote a letter in support of Kelly’s comments, saying: “There are moments in history where it becomes necessary to put country over party. This is one of those moments. Everyone should heed General Kelly’s warning.”
Kelly previously claimed that Trump privately praised Hitler and expressed envy at his control over the military.
The Trump reelection campaign has vehemently denied Kelly’s claims, telling The Independent: “This is absolutely false, President Trump never said this.”

Who went home on Dancing with the Stars week 7 elimination?
Season 33 of Dancing with the Stars has shimmied its way onto screens, welcoming a new cast of celebrity contestants ready to put their skills to the test for a chance to win the coveted Mirrorball trophy.
The popular dance competition series – the American version of the UK’s Strictly Come Dancing – has welcomed back Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribiero as co-hosts.
Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Hough’s older brother, Derek Hough, have returned to judge the competition.
Among the star-studded lineup competing this season are former NBA player Dwight Howard, Bachelor franchise stars Joey Graziadei and Jenn Tran, Olympians Ilona Maher and Stephen Nedoroscik, and Family Matters and Die Hard actor Reggie VelJohnson.
Find out below which celebrity’s dance moves didn’t make the cut. This article will be updated weekly.
DWTS airs Tuesdays on ABC at 8pm, with episodes available to stream on Hulu the next day.
Week Two: Oscars Night, Double Elimination
Anna Delvey
Controversial addition convicted fraudster Anna Delvey was one of two eliminations on the show’s first round of cuts.
For her final performance, she and her professional partner Ezra Sousa danced the Quickstep to “Suddenly I See” from the 2006 comedy Devil Wears Prada.
Following her elimination, Delvey was asked by host Hough what she would be taking away from her time on the show.
“Nothing,” the Russian-born con artist bluntly replied.
Tori Spelling
Beverly Hills, 90210 star Tori Spelling was also eliminated. She and her dance partner Pasha Pashov performed the Rumba to “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman for their final routine.

Reacting to her elimination, Spelling told ExtraTV that she was “sad.”
“I feel like I just started my journey, and I was changing so much and really finding myself through this,” the actor said. “I have an amazing [dancing] partner and now friend in life. I’ll be sad. We all got close, really fast. And you hear that happens, but you’re all thrown into this very unique situation in a short amount of time. So I’ll miss my dance family, and I’ll miss dancing with my partner every day.”
Week Four: Hair Metal Night, Double Elimination
Eric Roberts
After four weeks of receiving some of the lowest scores this season, actor Eric Roberts was given the boot in the second round of double eliminations. Partnered with Britt Stewart, the actor and older brother of Hollywood star Julia Roberts danced the Paso Doble to Warrant’s “Cherry Pie” for his final performance.
Speaking to TV Insider post-elimination, Roberts shared that he’s going to miss Stewart, the crew and the show. “There’s a crew of over 200 people here, and they make you feel like family,” he said. “You fall in love with the show, your partner, everyone here is so kind and so aware.”
Reginald VelJohnson
The oldest cast member this season, Reginald VelJohnson, was also eliminated alongside Roberts.
During his final dance, the Family Matters alum gave a stiff performance of the Cha Cha to “I Wanna Rock” by the Twisted Sisters with his partner Emma Slater.
Week Five: Dedication Night, Single Elimination
Brooks Nader
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model was eliminated during the halfway point of the season with her partner, Gleb Savchenko.
During her final dance, she was with her three younger sisters to whom she dedicated her salsa to. “It’s been amazing and we had so much fun,” she told the show’s co-hosts, Ribeiro and Hough, following her elimination. Savchenko gushed over the model and his time with her as he said: “I want to thank you for an amazing season, it was so unexpected. I had a blast working with you. You are super talented and I love you.”
Week 6: Disney Night, Single Elimination
Phaedra Parks
For her final solo dance, reality star Phaedra Parks and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy danced the Jazz to “Cruella de Vil” from 101 Dalmations.
Following their solo routine, they teamed up with half of the cast to compete on Team Roar, where they danced to “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” from The Lion King.
By the end of the episode, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star’s combined solo and team score put her at the bottom of the leader board, and she was ultimately eliminated.
Speaking to co-hosts Ribeiro and Hough after her elimination, she said: “Val’s been the best coach ever. I wanted to thank him for being patient and for allowing me to explore dance.”
Week 7: Halloween Nightmares, Single Elimination
Jenn Tran
Despite her consistent improvement over the weeks, Jenn Tran was shut out of the competition on week seven.
The Bachelorette alum’s elimination left DWTS fans outraged, as many felt NBA veteran Dwight Howard should have been sent home instead.
For her final performance, Jenn performed a Contemporary to “Vampire” by Olivia Rodrigo with partner Sasha Farber. The pair also competed in a Cha-Cha dance-off, beating fellow contestant Olympic gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik and his partner Rylee Arnold.
Yet, even with the dance-off win putting her final score at 31, she was ultimately sent home.
“We ended out on a bang, and I’m so proud of everything that I’ve learned to do, conquered my fear of stage fright of moving my hips all at once,” Jenn told Acess Hollywood.

First sexy Dancing On Ice pairing revealed after feud erupted before show even starts
DANCING On Ice has revealed it’s first pairing as Vanessa Bauer bags herself Love Island hunk Chris Taylor.
The new series of the ITV skating show will kick off in January with a host of famous faces.
The professional skater, 28, will be teaming up with Celebs Go Dating star Chris, 34, for the upcoming series.
This is not the first time that Vanessa has danced with a reality star.
In 2019, Vanessa was paired with former Love Island star Wes Nelson, where they finished in the runner-up spot.
Vanessa also danced with reality TV King and Love Island’s Joey Essex last series and ended up in fourth place.
READ MORE ON DANCING ON ICE
She enjoyed a win on her first series on the show back in 2018, when she won alongside TV personality Jake Quickenden.
Now Vanessa is hoping to replicate the same success with Chris, who will join the likes of Hollyoaks‘ Chelsee Healey, EastEnders star Charlie Brooks and Coronation Street‘s Sam Aston.
Chris is also in good company with a number of other reality stars – including Towie’s Dan Edgar, 34.
The Sun revealed earlier today that a new feud has erupted as Essex lad Dan begged NOT to be paired with skate siren Vanessa.
Dan is said to have made the plea out of loyalty for his mate Joey Essex, who had a fling with Vanessa during his time on the show in 2023.
A source said: “Dan didn’t want anything to distract him from the competition and he didn’t want to have to worry about what Joey was thinking.
“Why create any problems when it’s easily avoided by asking for a different dancer?
“Insiders say it was discussed as part of his discussions about joining the show and didn’t cause any problems.”
Dan is recently single after his split from Ella Rae Wise, which came following his six-year relationship with Amber Turner.
Vanessa is also thought to be single after splitting from marketing manager Dan Underwood, her boyfriend of nine months, this summer.
The source added: “Vanessa is an incredible skater but Dan wanted to keep things really professional and stick by his mate.
“Joey and Vanessa did not end badly, but it just felt like the easiest solution.”
Joey sparked romance rumours with Vanessa with a string of racy performances, snogs backstage and they even enjoyed a smooch live on-air.
The two went separate ways a month after the show finished.
Dancing on Ice returns live to ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV player in the new year.

Jimmy Fallon viewers call out host for awkward reaction to TikTok guests on his show
US talk show host Jimmy Fallon has received backlash for his reaction to TikTok stars, AJ, Big Justice and The Rizzler, who appeared on his show, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, on 28 October.
Fallon, who has recently seen an episode of his long-running show culled due to budget cuts at NBC, welcomed the trio on to his show to discuss their success on TikTok.
For those that aren’t aware, AJ and Big Justice, real names Andrew and Eric Befumo are a father and son duo who have become famous in the last year on TikTok and now have more than two million followers.
Their content, which often features friends and relatives, including The Rizzler, is wholesome family entertainment and often sees them reviewing snacks from Costco, like the “Double Chunk Chocolate Cookie,” which they rank on “The Boom Meter,” which involves them enthusiastically giving “booms” out of five to the food.
Their videos now regularly get more than one million views on TikTok, with the success prompting them to release a song, appropriately called “We Bring the BOOM!” which has more than 1.7m plays on Spotify at the time of writing.
However, their debut on Fallon’s show, where they talked about their success, left some viewers curious about one detail.
Throughout their appearance, Fallon cut off their trademark “boom” slogan and appeared less than enthusiastic when they kept repeating it.
The video creators WatchMojo shared a compilation of Fallon’s reactions to the Costco Guys, which itself has been viewed one million times.
“I want to hire one of those body language analysis people to study Fallon in this whole appearance. All I get from Fallon here is seeping contempt. He just talks over these guys and ignores them constantly,” wrote one person.

Another person quipped: “Dawg this is killing me Fallon‘s so mad lol.”
“I want them to keep showing up on Jimmy Fallon until he breaks completely,” joked a third person.
A fourth person asked: “Why does Fallon look so annoyed?”
It wasn’t all bad for Fallon who did get some support. “A rare moment where I felt bad for Jimmy Fallon… having to listen to BOOM with a pounding hangover,” said one viewer.
Another said: “Bro Jimmy Fallon was so done with AJ and Big Justice but was vibing with Rizzler the entire time.”
Things did appear to improve for Fallon towards the end of the segment as he got to try the infamous “double chunk chocolate cookie” which he gave five booms.
AJ, incidentally used to be a professional wrestler called “The American Powerchild Eric Justice” and will be returning to the ring next month to face QT Marshall at All Elite Wrestling’s Full Gear show.
Jimmy Fallon has been contacted for comment.
