‘Grinding my gears’ say baffled MAFS UK fans as they point out Amy’s annoying habit - have you noticed it?

MARRIED At First Sight fans were left irritated tonight after spotting Amy’s very annoying habit.

Amy was left furious as Lacey told her that Luke was “envious” of her when she salsa danced with Adam last week.

Her marriage with Luke appears to be in trouble

Amy who admitted that Adam treated her like a “princess” during her time with him, was upset that she was not receiving the same treatment from her husband Luke.

She relayed this to some of the girls but viewers were too busy picking up some of the errors in her grammar.

Amy repeatedly kept saying ‘tret’, mistakenly using it as the past tense of ‘treat’, when it is actually ‘treated’,

E4 viewers quickly pointed this out, with one writing: “Tret” isn’t a word darling.”

A second said: “It’s treated not tret.”

This annoyed viewer posted: “AMY STOP SAYING ‘he TRET me like a Queen’ TRET is not a thing’.”

Someone else said: “Amy – the past tense if treat is NOT tret. IQ of a pineapple.”

This person commented: “STOP SAYING TRET IT’S NOT A WORD.”

On tonight’s show, Lacey dropped a huge bombshell that rocked Amy and Luke’s marriage.

During a conversation with Lacey, Kristina and Sacha, Amy said: “The thing that made me think, was that Adam was treating me like a queen and he said to me ‘Amy, I’m not doing anything for you that I don’t do for Polly’.

“It made me think, I can’t wait to ask Lacey, what’s Luke done for Lacey.”

Lacey then spilled the beans and said: “Another thing, you know that picture of me and Adam, he said that he was actually a little bit envious deep down.

“He wanted a partner like that.”

Amy gasped and said she needed a minute to comprehend what her husband had said.

Sacha pointed out: “That’s contradicting himself massively.”

Amy tried to clarify, saying: “So at the beginning you weren’t classy and he was proud of me for being classy, but now he wants me to be like you because I’m too classy.”

Lacey simply replies: “Yes,” leaving Amy confused and hurt.

Lacey was referring to the photo that was taken between Lacey and Adam when they were salsa dancing on the separate days.

Luke described that initially as not being classy.

Expert Paul C Brunson explained: “The fact that Amy sees that Like likes the way Amy acts, is confusing to Amy.”

A furious Amy admitted to the girls: “That comment about him being envious because he wants me to be like you is f****** bull***.”

Sacha let rip at Luke at the dinner table and told him he playing up to the cameras, leaving him gobsmacked.

But it looks like only half of the conversation was relayed.

Last night, Luke simply said that he would have liked a wife to be “less stiff” and to let her hair down.

He also told Lacey during their chat that he wanted Amy to relax more, so he could see a different side to her.

Luke also apologised to Lacey for saying that dancing with another man was “not classy”.

James Corden addresses Gavin & Stacey ‘spoiler’ after on-set photo leak

James Corden has teased a series of spoilers about the forthcoming Gavin and Stacey Christmas special finale.

The 46-year-old actor and his co-writer Ruth Jones finished filming the final episode of the BBC sitcom earlier this month. The episode will air on Christmas Day.

Speaking at the Global Gift Gala in London on Monday, Corden hinted that there would be two funerals in the forthcoming Christmas special.

While addressing the crowd, Corden said he had been editing the show that same day and that the funeral scenes were “hard to watch”, before he teased, “But was there a funeral? Maybe yes. Maybe no!”

Though there has been plenty of speculation about what will happen in the finale, Jones previously joked about potential outcomes, and told fans in Barry, “I go ‘There’s going to be a helicopter crash, most of the cast is going to get killed,’ and I just make stuff up!”

During filming, Corden shared a behind-the-scenes image on set, with a picture of Smithy’s car and advert for his  self-employed builder and decorator business, complete with the tagline: “If your husband won’t do it – I will…tilin [sic], roofin [sic], plasterin [sic], & feng shui.” The picture also includes a phone number to call Smithy on.

The ‘Gavin & Stacey’ cast

Rob Brydon, who played Uncle Bryn in the series, has said he was “emotional” when reading the script, while Alison Steadman, who plays Gavin’s mum Pam, told The One Show’s Alex Jones that the cast were all in tears when they wrapped filming in early October.

“We’ve had a great five weeks, we only finished on Monday night. But we were all dreading that final scene. I think 90 per cent of us were in tears, some people braved it – it’s been so fantastic.”

First aired between 2007 and 2010, the series stars Mathew Horne and Joanna Page as Gavin and Stacey, an Essex boy from Billericay and a Welsh girl from Barry Island, who fall in love from afar, and tracks how their families unite as their romance develops.

The finale will pick up after the 2019 Christmas finale cliffhanger, which saw Nessa and Smithy’s long-running love-hate relationship hit its climax as Nessa declared her love for Smithy, and got down on one knee to propose.

Fans have been waiting nearly five years for Smithy’s response, since the episode cuts before he had the chance to reply.

BBC viewers have watched as Kat is in pieces ahead of the social services meeting about Tommy and continued to blank Stacey and Jean, who she holds responsible after she reported the teenager’s beahviour.

Alfie has begged Stacey to call a truce and tells a fib to get Kat to meet the Slaters at The Vic.

Yet when she arrives, Kat is furious to have been hoodwinked, but Alfie gave an impassioned speech and they reconcile so it appears all is well.

After Kat told Alfie she’s grateful, Freddie picked up on how insane their chemistry is, and Alfie admitted he still has feelings for Kat.

Yet in the next episode, it’s time for the meeting with social services, which Kat has been dreading.

During the social services meeting, Kat is devastated by how cold Tommy is towards her and fears they’ll never get their boy back.

However, the social worker says they can begin to work towards Tommy returning home, and no longer needing to stay next door with James.

In the meeting Alfie tells the social worker that they desperately want Tommy back for Christmas and even manages to get through to their son a little, ending the session on a positive note.

Once back at the flat, a grateful Kat surprises Alfie with a kiss meaning he might not be the only one with old feelings still there.

Tommy’s violent actions have been a rocky time for both Alfie and Kat, with Kat bearing the brunt of the troubled teenager’s outbursts.

Shocked EastEnders viewers watched as Tommy punched his mother in the stomach back in July.

“Excited to be back for my 6th and final season of Dancing On Ice. Let’s make this one the best one,” he said.

Ahead of her debut on the show next year, Brooks, best known for playing the evil Janine Butcher in EastEnders, said she is “going to embrace the spray tan”.

“All I want to do is enjoy it and try not to break my leg,” she said.

Pearce, best known for making it to the final in the latest season of the BBC hit game show The Traitors, has said she is “ready for the challenge”.

Pearce works as a disability model for different kinds of adaptive clothing, including swimwear and underwear that accommodates a stoma – such as the one she wears due to ulcerative colitis, an autoimmune condition that causes inflammation in the large intestine triggering ulcers and debilitating pain.

Soap vixen, 68, unrecognisable 40 years after quitting hit show and posing for Playboy

AUDREY Landers was a pin-up star in the 80s and still looks sensational after her latest public appearance.

Taking on the iconic roles of the troublesome and money-hungry Afton Cooper in Dallas, as well as starring turns in Dukes of Hazzard, Fantasy Island, Somerset and Highcliffe Manor, Audrey has cemented herself in soap history.

After quitting Dallas in 1989 after eight years on the soap, Audrey and her sister Judy even posed on the cover of Playboy together.

Nearly 40 years on, Audrey is still a head-turner and drew a crowd last week at the Southfork Experience in Texas, looking incredible as she met with fans.

With her blonde hair still in a classic bouffant style, Audrey, 68, was age defying as she donned a classic all black look with a pop of colour thanks to a black blazer.

Signing photos for fans at the experience with her booth, Audrey welcomed fans and put her autograph to some of her most iconic snaps.

Sharing a video of the booth on Instagram, fans were delighted and admitted they wished they were there.

“Hopefully this happens again next year cause I’ll be there if it does. 😁 Hope you’re having a blast. ❤️” wrote one.

Another wrote: “Thanks for sharing this. Fantastic woman, great actress, super business girl and big heart. Always supporting people.”

A third added another pic from the event: “This was an amazing weekend! It was a pleasure meeting you. You were so kind and so gorgeous every day. I am most impressed by seeing what a beautiful and loving mom you are❤️ You make this a much better world to live in”

Audrey was someone born to be in the spotlight, with her mother, Ruth Landers, a film producer for shows including Circus Island and Ghost Writer.

She first fell in love with acting when her mum brought her onto sets when she was just a toddler, admitting being on commercials became something she strived for.

She landed her first role at the age of nine on A Secret Storm.

Her sister, Judy, 66, was also an actress, and together the pair appeared on The Love Boat and The Hitchhiker together.

For one saucy shoot in 1983, the pair posed in a non-nude shoot for Playboy, taking on the roles of sexy cocktail waitresses.

Landing the role of Afton in 1981 on Dallas, she was only intended to appear in a two episode arc, but made such an impression that show bosses decided to keep her on. She ended up remaining on the series for eight years.

In 1985, she joined the cast of A Chorus Line and worked with Sir David Attenborough.

Audrey has been married to Donald Berkowitz, an esteemed businessman, since May 1988, and together they have two sons, twin boys Adam and Daniel (now 31).

Speaking to Closer in 2022, Audrey said the key to her long marriage was having trust and long distances between each other.

“We’ve had a long-distance relationship from the time we met in 1983,” she said.

“It helps to have a relationship built on trust, humor and love. We try to spend as much time as we can together, but it’s not for everyone.

“When I speak to my kids about relationships, I say, ‘Please don’t follow in your parents’ footsteps.’ It’s worked for us, but it’s not something I would recommend as a lifestyle.”

Saoirse Ronan addresses her silencing male A-listers for the first time

Irish actor Saoirse Ronan has spoken about the reaction to a viral clip of her on The Graham Norton Show where she managed to silence the three male A-listers with a remark about gender-based violence.

The 30-year-old actor, who stars in the Steve McQueen wartime drama Blitz, appeared on 25 October edition of the BBC talk show alongside Gladiator II stars Paul Mescal and Denzel Washington and The Day of the Jackal actor Eddie Redmayne.

The moment occurred after, Redmayne, 42, revealed how he had been taught how to use a phone in an attack while he was training for his role as a lone assassin in the Sky Atlantic series.

In response, Mescal joked: “If someone attacks me I’m not going to go (reaches into pocket) phone.”

The Aftersun actor’s gag got a chuckle out of the audience before Ronan chimed in and said: “That’s what girls have to think about all the time. Am I right ladies?”

The response from the Brooklyn star earned an enthusiastic response from the female audience members.

Clips of the moment were soon shared on social media and at the time of writing, have been viewed more than 19 million times.

Speaking on The Ryan Tubridy Show on Virgin Radio UK on Wednesday, Ronan said: “The reaction has been wild. It’s definitely not something that I had expected, and I didn’t necessarily set out to sort of make a splash.

“But I do think there’s something really telling about the society that we’re in right now and about how open women want to be with the men in their lives.

“So many men and women that I know from all over the world have gotten in touch with me about this one comment, which is, again, I would urge people, please, please, please to watch this in context.

“Please watch the whole interview or watch at least that part of the conversation, because it really wasn’t about… the boys weren’t sort of like debunking anything that I was saying.

“But at the same time, it felt very similar to like when I am at dinner with a bunch of my friends and I will always make the point that, well, this is actually an experience that we go through every single day, 100 per cent.”

Ronan said Normal People star Mescal is one of her “very dear friends” and added that she has “had conversations like that with him before and he completely gets that.”

She continued: “I think the fact that there was a moment like that that happened on a show like Graham Norton, which is something that the entire nation channels in to watch and even overseas, it’s something that people tune into, it seems to have had an accessibility which seems to have really gained traction, which I think is amazing.

“It’s opening a conversation and again, hopefully, it’s allowing more and more women to just be like, well, yeah, actually, let’s talk about our experience.

“I met a woman last night who’s working on Blitz, and she said ‘It’s really interesting, after we watched that interview, myself and a few of my female friends were with my husband and we said, you know, this really reminds me of the fake phone call.’

“And her husband went, ‘What, fake phone call? What do you mean?’.

“And of course, you wouldn’t understand if you’ve not had to go through anything like that. But she somehow, throughout her life as a female, has gained these tools without ever talking to other women about it and understanding that this is sort of a survival tactic.

“And we’ve all sort of subconsciously found the same tools and use them again and again and I find that really interesting.”

Netflix viewers call cowboy series the ‘new Yellowstone’ after strong opening reviews

Netflix show dubbed ‘new Yellowstone’ meets ‘Succession’ is a hit with critics

The new Netflix series Territory is earning rave reviews from critics while fans on social media have compared it to hit shows Yellowstone and Succession.

The Australian series arrived on the streaming service last week.

An official synopsis says: “When the world’s largest cattle station is left without a clear successor, generational clashes threaten to tear the Lawson family apart.

“Sensing this once great dynasty is in decline, the outback’s most powerful factions – rival cattle barons, desert gangsters, Indigenous elders and billionaire miners – move in for the kill.”

On reviews aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes the series is rated 80% fresh, with Hollywood Reporter critic Daniel Fienberg declaring: “The cattle in Territory may not have a lot of genetic diversity — it’s a plot point! — and the hats may look a bit worn around the edges. But whatever you’re looking for, this series has a lot of it.”

On social media, viewers pointed out the similarities to Yellowstone with one writing: “I’m just 1,5 episodes in, but if #Netflix cancels this Aussie Yellowstone gem of a show, they are damn fools and we all should cancel subscription and renew it for a month when a particular show comes out, because COME ON! #Territory”

Another viewer added: “the new Netflix show ‘Territory’ is a mixture of Yellowstone and Succession. 9/10”

Others were less complimentary about the parallels, with one writing on X: “Territory is just Yellowstone with accents.”

Another said: “Netflix just dropped a new series called Territory that’s basically Yellowstone (hate to admit, it’s an admittedly great show)…”

In a B- review for AV Club, critic Todd Lazarski said he found the show both “bloody” and “soapy.”

“With such a shotgun-and-pickup-truck swagger, and a plot in conversation with season two of Fargo, Netflix seeks to get in on the wide-open-spaces itch of fans of Yellowstone, or Tulsa King, or whatever else Taylor Sheridan is cooking up under the expansive stars of his ranch,” wrote Lazarski.

“But it’s not long before the tough-guy-and-girl schtick runs a bit toward pulpy, ending frequently in the realm of soapy. And for stretches, it can read as downright sudsy, with a love story sparked around an awkward request to take iPhone vids of some sweet horseback-riding moves. A Road House-esque brawl is precipitated by the kind of bar entrance where you hop on your buddy’s back and jostle his hat down over his eyes and then start a for-fun quarrel with bottles smashed over heads.”
