GymNation records 3,000 sign-ups in 24 hours ahead of Bahrain market entry

GymNation, the Middle East’s fastest-growing gym operator, has announced a record-breaking launch ahead of its first Bahrain opening, securing 3,000 memberships within just 24 hours of pre-sales.

The milestone comes as the brand prepares to open its inaugural Bahrain facility at Atrium Mall later this month, marking GymNation’s entry into its third GCC market. The expansion follows rapid growth across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, where the company now operates 34 gyms and serves more than 150,000 members.

Building on early momentum, GymNation has also signed a second Bahrain location at Oasis Plaza in Muharraq, scheduled to open in April 2026. Each of the Bahrain facilities will exceed 35,000 square feet and operate 24 hours a day, introducing a new benchmark for large-scale, round-the-clock fitness centres in the Kingdom.

Designed to serve a broad demographic, the gyms will deliver GymNation’s “People’s Gym” concept, centred on affordability, accessibility and inclusivity, while maintaining premium-quality facilities. Members will benefit from state-of-the-art equipment, extensive training zones and specialist studios offering HYROX, Reformer Pilates and LES MILLS classes. The sites will also feature the largest free-weights, cardio and machine-assisted areas in Bahrain, alongside dedicated recovery zones and fully equipped ladies-only sections.

Since its launch in the UAE in 2018, GymNation has challenged conventional perceptions of the fitness industry by offering premium facilities at accessible price points. “The expansion marks yet another significant milestone in GymNation’s mission to make fitness affordable, accessible, and inclusive across the GCC,” said Loren Holland, Founder & CEO of GymNation.
“The gyms we are about to open in Bahrain are truly next-level, from the scale of the space to the combination of world-class facilities, equipment and design, as we have done in KSA and the UAE, we’re now going to raise the standard for what a gym can be in Bahrain.”

Josh Whiteley, KSA & Bahrain Country Director, added: “Our Bahrain expansion reinforces our commitment to the GCC’s growing fitness and wellness movement. We see a massive opportunity here and GymNation’s Atrium Mall pre-opening sign-up figures underscore the large appetite for high-quality, value-driven fitness in Bahrain.”

The Bahrain launch forms part of GymNation’s broader regional growth strategy, with the brand targeting 60 operational gyms and more than 300,000 members across the Middle East by the end of 2026, further cementing its position as the region’s largest fitness operator.
