Saudi Arabia launches ‘Tahqaq’ service to check suspicious links

Saudi Arabia’s National Cybersecurity Authority has launched a new service designed to help the public identify and avoid malicious online links.

The service, called Tahqaq, enables users to quickly scan and verify suspicious URLs before clicking on them, reducing the risk of data theft, fraud and unauthorised access to personal information.

It forms part of the authority’s wider efforts to strengthen individual cybersecurity awareness and promote safer digital behaviour.

According to the authority, Tahqaq also provides users with practical cybersecurity guidance, helping them recognise emerging online threats and make more informed decisions when dealing with circulated links on social media and messaging platforms.

The service is available through the National Portal for Cybersecurity Services (Haseen) and has been developed in partnership with the authority’s technical arm, Saudi Information Technology Company (SITE).
