She’s been described as a “much-loved daughter, mother and sister”
The family of a woman who “touched so many people’s lives” has paid tribute to her. Karen Marks died after her car collided with a bus on the A10 near Ely.
Karen, from Littleport, had been driving her white Fiat Punto when she collided with a single-decker bus at around 12.25pm on Sunday, December 28. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man in his 40s, who was a passenger in the Punto, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He remains there in a stable condition. No one on the bus was injured.
In a statement, her family said: “Once you met Karen, you would never forget her. She was like a firework when she came in and you knew when she was around.
“She was a very much-loved daughter, mother and sister and touched so many people’s lives.”
Police are still appealing for information about what happened or for anyone who has dashcam footage of the collision to come forward. You can report it through the Cambridgeshire Police website quoting Op Bayswater or call 101 if you do not have access to the internet.
