Luke Littler has admitted he’s hoping to hear chants of ‘you’ve got school in the morning’ as he looks to win the World Darts Championship.
The 17-year-old burst onto the scene at the same tournament 12 months ago, with the teenager proceeding to make the final before losing to Luke Humphries.
Littler has continued his amazing development in the time since, however, with the youngster continuing to establish himself as one of the best players in the world.
He won the Premier League earlier in the year, while he’s soared up to fourth on the PDC Order of Merit.

Littler is looking forward to the tournament at Alexandra Palace, which will commence on Sunday.
And the youngster has admitted he’s looking forward to hearing the chants from fans in attendance as he looks to go all the way.
“Obviously it means a lot, when I walk on they sing ‘There’s only one Luke Littler’,” he told Sky Sports.
“Hopefully ‘You’ve got school in the morning’ chant comes back this year, I’d like to hear that again!
“It definitely helps me a lot and it’ll get me up for it even more, just to win for them, but obviously it’s a win for myself.”
Littler’s Premier League triumph came via a sensational win over Humphries, just months after he’d crashed to defeat against the same opponent in the final of the WDC.
His triumph in May, he admits, has only increased his hunger to shine on the world’s biggest stages.
“It was definitely good to win, but obviously early on I was, I wouldn’t say struggling, but I was always fourth, fifth without a nightly win, so I was always picking up points,” he added.

“But when I won in Belfast, I really thought I could win a lot more, obviously winning Manchester, Liverpool and then Aberdeen.
“But hitting that winning double against Luke meant a lot.”
The last two winners of the World Darts Championship achieved the feat having won the Premier League earlier in the year.
Yet Littler isn’t reading too much into that, with the ‘Nuke’ describing it as merely ‘practice’ for other tournaments instead.

“It’ll definitely help, winning anything would help towards the Worlds,” he said.
“It is just practice up until the Worlds and the Championships.”
Some of the biggest names in sport have turned up to watch Littler over the past 12 months or so.
He was even sent a message from David Beckham before his loss to Humphries in January.

And Littler has pleaded with more A-listers to turn up while admitting he’d love to see some Manchester United players at Alexandra Palace given his huge love of the club.
“I don’t really know, I know James Maddison was there, I’m pretty sure a few of the Newcastle boys were there, I know Dan Burn was,” he continued.
“I would just like anyone from the United squad, just anyone, just come watch me.”
