Love Islander ‘soft launches’ new girlfriend on Instagram ten months after heartbreaking split with ITV star
LOVE Island star Omar Nyame has soft launched his new girlfriend on Instagram ten months after his heartbreaking split from Catherine Agbaje.
The model took to Instagram to share a selection of pictures of his year, with one very telling snap of him and a mystery woman.
The 27-year-old could be seen with his arm around an unidentified woman’s shoulder as they both posed for a selfie in a lift.
Both of their faces are obscured from the photo, with just part of her lips on show, as well a green jacket and khaki suede bag.
Omar didn’t tag the woman in question and is yet to reveal any more information about just who his mystery woman is.
Other pictures included in the carousel post are modelling shots and photos with pals including his Love Island: All Stars co-star Casey O’Gorman.
He captioned the post: “HELLUVA 25,” alongside a beating heart emoji.
One eagle-eyed fan commented: “Can we talk about the 18th slide lol.”
His Love Island pals also took the time to comment as Tyrique Hyde said: “2026 WE TURN UP!”
Shaq Muhammad wrote: “A great year!,! while Ayo Odukoya added: “Surely you won this year.”
Omar shot to fame on series 11 of Love Island last year, before returning for the second series of All Stars earlier this year.
He and Catherine made it to the final and ended up in fourth place, but their relationship ended just weeks after returning home.
Back in April, The Sun exclusively revealed just why Omar and Catherine decided to part ways.
An insider told us: “They never reached ‘exclusive’/boyfriend-girlfriend stage so it just had run its course.”
The Sun revealed how the former couple were still following each other on Instagram, but fans noticed they hadn’t been posting together.
Omar had even stopped ‘liking’ Catherine’s most recent snaps at the time.
Omar’s journey on Love Island
- Omar joined series 11 and walked in on day five
- He immediately coupled up with Uma Jammeh
- After struggling to find a romantic connection, he entered a friendship couple with Jess White
- He and Joey Essex squared up to one another over his interest in Grace Jackson
- He and Jess were dumped on day 21
- Omar returned on All Stars this year and immediately found a connection with Catherine Agbaje
- The pair made it all the way to the final and ended up in fourth place
- They announced their split just five weeks after the show ended
However, five weeks prior to the split, he thanked his co-star for getting him to the final.
Sharing loved up snaps, Omar wrote online: “From the deepest part of my heart I just wanna say thank you to everyone who’s supported my journey as well as Catherine’s because without her things wouldn’t be this way.
“I can’t wait to show you all more fun times ahead as we embark on this new journey in life!”
During their time on the show, the couple had a smooth run compared to some of the other islanders, with minimal drama and strong chemistry.
They gained a loyal fan base, particularly after surviving a tense vote-off late in the competition.
Their last public appearance together was at the All Stars wrap party, where they were seen laughing and chatting with fellow finalists.
However, since then, they had kept a low profile regarding their relationship, fueling rumours of a breakup.
