Manchester United's Three New Kits For 2026-27 Season 'Leaked'

Those of an Old Trafford persuasion appear as one in their verdict on Manchester United’s Adidas kit deal after the club’s 2026/27 shirts were ‘leaked’. As the manufacturer of five of the 10 best kits in European football this season, the iconic three-striped brand also offers some of the largest financial packages in the game.

Among Adidas’ standout work this season is Liverpool’s retro-inspired home kit, which sparked a record-breaking launch day and saw sales rise by more than 700 per cent compared to last year, marking a nostalgic and successful reunion. Elsewhere, Ajax’s crystal-white third shirt, along with Arsenal’s and Roma’s third kits, have also caught the eye – further proof of a brand that understands modern football fashion culture.

However, while many clubs have been impressed by Adidas’ refusal to copy and paste designs across its portfolio, instead opting for unique concepts tailored to each client, there is a growing sense among Red Devils supporters that Man United are not receiving the same treatment. That frustration has been reflected in the reaction to a collection of recently leaked potential shirts for next season.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, very little description is needed to sum up United’s leaked home shirt for next season: it’s red and offers little in the way of uniqueness. The away shirt is blue, with red and white trim and the classic 90s-style Adidas logo, and is not too dissimilar to kits the team has worn before, notably during the 2005/06 and 2014/15 campaigns.

It is the third shirt, however, as first posted online by Footy Headlines, that has raised the most eyebrows, with Adidas seemingly going a bit rogue in an effort to live up to their reputation for unique designs. While a white base with red and green trim is fairly restrained, the decision to centre the Devil badge and include a faded silhouette of roses down one side is anything but. The full leaked collection can be seen below:

The Red Devils currently rake in £90 million per year from their Adidas deal – the third-highest figure in the Premier League – underlining that the club remains highly marketable despite recent struggles under Ruben Amorim and his failed predecessors. However, that financial strength does not necessarily translate into supporter satisfaction when it comes to the club’s wardrobe.

United supporters have made it very clear how they feel about the potential new kits for the 2025/26 campaign, with one X user remarking: “Just terminate the contract with Adidas at this point,” as another added:

“Can we just end the contract with Adidas already? Disgusting design over the years.”

A third continued: “Are Adidas running out of jersey design ideas? Still, that retro blue kit looking good,” a fourth wrote: “We will always be a Nike club,” and a fifth concluded: “Can’t remember the last time I bought a United kit and that’s not changing anytime soon.”

Unfortunately for critics, Man United’s extended deal with Adidas runs until June 2035 – a 10-year renewal agreed upon in July 2023, making the partnership last at least 18 years.
